I knew he was focusing and if I broke it he'd screw up so we would silently sit there for hours while he played and I got to watch some of the best storytelling in video games. DMC, mass effect, ninja Gaiden, the dark souls franchise, it probably wasn't kid appropriate but it's how we bonded. Those were the happiest times in my life.
