I live in Florida, and I am open water certified scuba diver. I've used clear nail polish on my powerheads which are 357 Magnum and 12-gauge shotgun bang sticks. For shooting large fish in fast currents. Clear nail polish on the primer pocket and where the casing mouth meets the cartridge projectile with a liberal coat let dry in the Sun and you're good to 140 ft with no leaks. I'm sure it would have worked deeper I just wasn't going any deeper. Hope this helps a little bit, Echo.
Have you ever had problems with light strikes? I’m guessing the extra material makes that unlikely if it’s not soft but I’m curious. Damn, you’re taking a revolver down there? I think I saw a guy with a Glock and STUPID LONG BARREL going after Lionfish.
I pack ammo into vacuum bags as little packs. Works great for long term storage, easy to handle at any size you desire, entirely waterproof for eternity. This is my next step for field reliability. Great video!
Iv'e used Clear Nail Polish, For years on my Primers to seal and water proof them It works great never ever had a primer that did not fire With a dab of Nail Polish on them $ 1.00 In the Dollar Store Works for me Thanks for sharing etc.
Glad you pointed out about sealing your ammo.. Back in the old fuzzy days of yesteryear, I use to coat my bullets before seating them, used nail polish..
Hello colleagues. I use medical syringe + nail polish( for color )+ цапон лак ( tsapon lak ) - I don’t know how it is in English. This is lacquer for radio boards.
+live4wild Can't seem to view the video of you shooting the ammo you sealed. How'd it work out? I'm interested in trying this product if you had success with it.
please help me. You are an experienced person. I dropped a 7x17mm pistol bullet into the hole of the watery toilet. How this happened is a long story. How can I get this bullet out of there? I think it's a bullet without waterproofing . Will a magnet hold it? Or would keeping it in water for many years make it completely harmless? If it is not found, I worry that it will be dangerous for everything else in the future.
I swear I'm not being lazy, could you post the follow-up video here in the comments, I looked through your video playlist and I just can't find it thank you so much and thanks for checking this out for us! (I'm super curious to see how that nail polish did in comparison on your shoot)
I watched this good videos ~7 years ago. The part 2 never came. Maybe it didn't work so well? Lol Just kidding, for "normal" storage situations and even daily carry, sealing will guarantee that your ammo will work just fine.
But, it's been ~10 years since I started sealing my hunting/defensive ammo. After all this time, MANY tests, I would say just go with nail polish. It works just as good and much less expensive 👍👊
This is a complete pain in the neck to do but necessary - I'm concerned when you wipe off the excess is there any problem with that - thinking you may wipe off to much or a micro spot or something
You copied our Name and Product without our permission. As a result, our original video can no longer be seen on youtube under the name of MARKRON BULLET AND PRIMER SEALER. We are looking into remedies to compensate us for our loss. We appreciate your attention to our product, but we do not appreciate being bumped off of youtube after we were here a year before you! Thank you.
MARKRONGUNPRODUCTS This comment is the biggest bunch of junk I have seen in a long time. Nobody gets bumped off of youtube from a video review. Also, nobody needs your permission to review your product. Most companies pay good money to have their products reviewed. Not you. You are whinning like little babies threatening the "compensation" card. I just might make a video for my 27,000 subscribers that your product is garbage.
+MARKRONGUNPRODUCTS You just lost my business after that post, most companies woudl love to have their product reviewed and recommended for free, yet you choose to threaten the guy doing yo ua favor. I'll stick to using nail polish. I'm just stumped by that comment, I can't even imagine what was going thru the poster's mind when they wrote that out. Live4wild, thanks for the video and information.

That's a pretty good idea I've used vacuum sealing kits before on ammunition I was carrying on me in wet conditions. It works very well. Echo

I like using red for my hunting loads then I can see that they are sealed. Use it sparingly it dont take much
i was thinking of using the clear polish just because it's easier to find lol. i'm reloading .32 rf cases using .22 rf as primers.
Are you sure it is $1 at the Dollar Store?
@@wetwriterrrnot anymore 😅 $1.25

Good idea. I have never sealed any of my reloads. But i have wondered about that. Looking forward to see you shoot the ammo in the water.
Good video always wondered about this
The link below to the Part 2 video does not work. Did all of the rounds fire?
I like to seal my ammunition as well.
It's preventative maintenance, I hate misfires.
Thanks for watching. I hate miss fires also.
Thanks for sharing.
was tests done of cartridges without any sealer & left in water? Would be interesting to see ...
Gotta do your carry gun ammo too! Sweat rain oil ect.
