Reloading spa day, 👍👍🍻🍻
🤣
Never done that, in fact never new you could !
However, was thinking when your all done you could do your nails :-))
😂
I did not know we could do that. New to me. I may try it out sometime for identification of some special cartridges. Dry and little humidity of where I'm at but would still like to try.
They make a 4 color set that would be good for identification purposes👍
like watching paint dry :)
Yeah, but in a cool guy tactical apocalypse kind of way 😉
@@DummyRound , Ya crack me up......be well n Keep America Great...
I'll do what I can with what I have👊🇺🇸👍
A dotting tool would work great for applying the sealant around the primer if you wanted to be picky. I use a dotting tool to dot pistol and rifle sights, just puts a bead where you want it.
I bet that would work very well, thanks 👌
I plan on doing it when I do deep-sea fish hunting.
Report back with your experiences👍😂
I used that sealer with my Garand ammo when we went out shark hunting. Poor Quint never made it back.
Have never had issues but know of the sealers. Id probably use on "special ammo" or life n limb stuff. But generally no I dont use it.
I'm not really using it for the intended purpose, just hoping it helps with the loose primers. I might use it for a specialty load some day, like you said. But, I'm not sure what would make those any more special😂
I have thought about using some from time to time. It looks like it needs to be thinned a little. Got a bottle coming from Brownells...
It seemed a bit thick and hard to spread. After they dried, several of them weren't completely sealed around the pocket
If you lay the primer on an anvil and smash it with a hammer it will fight mire snugly 😂😂
😬 I might pass on that one 🤣
I have ran into that issue a few times. you're far more patient than I. I stick the primer in the ram prime, run a seating die in upside down and press the anvil in on the primer a bit more. seems to squish it enough to make it stay. I have looked into getting some primer sealant for my hunting reloads. I am curious to see how it works out. I have a lot of happy accidents especially powder coating. I get more on me than on the bullets haha
Pretty good idea with the die. I wonder how easy the sealant will be to clean off when I fire them? I know the brass is still good so they shouldn't be 1 and done🤷♂️
@@DummyRound when it's fired it the pin will squeeze them in a bit more. It seems to be the primers. So far I've had some of the unis genix primes do that on starline brass and winchester. Next time you have one not one to seat put it on a flat surface strike side down and see how much it rocks. Seems like the cups are pressed too far or too hard stretching them just enough to be out of spec. Maybe from dirty primer cup dies at the factory. Idk.
Blub..blub...blub blub..blu...........
They say good for 30 days completely submerged
@@DummyRound I don't think I can hold my breath that long.
So far i havnt on any of my hunting loads... Im in New Mexico... Dry desert climate.... Usually.... But with the lack of precipitation and humidity.... I personally dont think i have the need for it. So far... All my reloads fire true on the first strike....
You're probably safe in your climate. This was more so to keep the loose/undersized primers in the pockets than to protect from any kind of moisture.
I had to buy some of this because I went overboard with a primer pocket reamer. Who has experience with firing ammo that has been treated with markon in a semi-auto?
My M1a has no problems 🇺🇲👍
Can you seal the boolit to🤔. Or is it sealed good enough by pressure?
You can seal bullets as well!
Might not be the brass could be the primers out of spec. Just my 11 cents worth....
Yep I'm pretty sure they're undersized from having been previously pulled from factory cases
How is the .308 I sent?
They look great. Going to sort though it when I get back Sunday. Were some of those just deprimed and others weren't? Thanks again 👍
I hand de-primed a batch that I had wet tumbled on night messing around. I do not have .308 dies ….yet.
I put all the .308 I had together to send to you so the got mixed Most of those were probably dry tumbled last year.
I will save them as I go to the range.
@@DisgustedGenXr sounds good, man! Thanks again 👊
