I watched few info videos but this one caught my eye. You brought the most common type of problems that " I " would have to deal with and I'm sure that I'm not the only one! "Round" I rings will tend to "roll" and twist causing the slide to jamb. Once you put the Traxxas O rings in the problem is gone. Traxxas knows their stuff that is obvious. Having flat sides all the way around won't allow it to "roll" so it will slide without a hitch. Awesome video ! 👍
I had a similar problem with my ones, being within the shock cartridge. I loosened off the screw in part of the cartridge a bit to reduce the compression.
Pt3- If someone changes the o-rings to the Traxxas ones and decides to fill with oil, they will leak as they wont adjust correctly as designed. I did the same thing a year ago with HPI o-rings and had nothing but issues, i researched and found I just needed to adjust the shock with the stock o-ring that came with the shocks from ATees. Just an FYI..
Bought something similar for myscx2 110m internal springs they look great but they seem a little bit high meaning the gap on the fender is pretty huge thinking about cutting off some coils to drop it down to 95-100 your thoughts?
Thanks for the vid. I run these on the rear on my Scx - 2, with the type G in front, runs better than stock. Quick note, they dont fully compress of the internal spring as there is volume/mass that needs to be considered for the spring. I had to use light weight oil in the rear. Thanks again!
Thank for the info man! i did however try adjusting them like you said but nothing changed. I was able to make adjustments tho after swapping out the old o rings for the traxxas ones. you can notice a different now lol
Pt-2 The kit comes with a fork shaped tool that will allow you to adjust the pressure/resistance on the bottom end of the shock. no need to change o-rings. IMHO..
i got the pro-line power stroke scaler shocks for my scx10 ii and they work perfectly. would recommend getting the pro-lines if your not on a tight budget. Great review Matt, as always : )
Those are definitely great as well. I certainly do prefer pro line shocks over almost anything else. but figured id give something else a try for once. lol
Thanks for the information :) I have these shocks as well. I wish Boom racing would provide more support, user manual or instructions as to how to work with these shocks.
I've had these for about a year now and have been really happy with them, but I agree, they definitely take some tuning .. And I have had all these issues too. Great video for these, as there aren't any that give the helpful hints you did.
Any issues with your losi shocks? Been looking to upgrade mine on my gen 8 and hobby store has a set, but I can't find any utube vids on them or much info. Looked on losi web site and other than stats, they have nothing either. I believe they are the 4 inch or 100mm ones. ✌😎🤜🤛
I run LRP Shocks in my SCX 10 II. They cost just 8 Euro per pair...they were disounted from 28 Euro per pair. And they perform amazing! Way better than the stock ones, which were so badly build from factory, that i ran them just for two times. I was initially planing to replace the LRp ones after a couple of weeks with proline scaler Shocks..but i just dont feel the Need to so. The lrp ones are full aluminum.and i i could not ask for more...so i am stickng with them. Now i got the TRX4 and the Shocks are very nice too. So no Need to go the proline route there!!!!
I have used several. Its been a wile but my favorite one i use for giveaways as a website called Gleam IO its not exactly a randomizer but its great for having people do things in order to get entered into giveaways then when its done it will randomly select the winner.
Hey bud I have a 6S Traxxas Xmaxx with lite usage and I am looking to sell it for 450, just hit me up if your interested or if you want more info on the truck

Hi, I am planning to use this shocks for a building project, do you recomend them over the desert lizard 90mm? TY

Soak the o-rings in shock oil for a day. They swell up n no mo leaks. Or run em upside down, puts the weight of springs/shock body/oil at the bottom.
I just ordered my trailfinder 2 . SO EXCITED
Haha! heck ya! i need to get one eventually!
Can i put them on a slash to get a udr like suspension
Awesome video that started really funny great way to break the ice. Nice update and upgrade for your trail truck looks pretty cool.
Haha thanks. like i said definitely wasn't planed but i love it when things like that happen. Always a good time! lol
RC Overload right on bro.
