You should try this build again, except swap out the AC2's for AC5's. I ran this build with 2 AC5, 2 LB-X5, and 2 RAC5's and it murders people. Fire everything until you build up 99 percent heat, then stop the RAC's. You can infinitely sustain chain fire with the 4 AC5's and stay at that level until you have a chance to cool.
One day I'll get into a game with you, Baradul. I look for you and a couple others every time I drop in. I'm a Tier 2 pilot, so I thought I'd see you by now :P Out of 80 built mechs, I think ~10 of them are builds you've made videos about.
@@Fifth_Horseman I started running into ALL the UA-camrs once I hit tier 2 so yeah it'll definitely happen eventually. To be honest though I started dreading it after a while. They're better than most players about getting pugs organized so if you see a UA-camr on the opposing team your chances of losing jump quite a bit. Granted that works in your favour too when they're on the same team as you.
I've been Tier 2 for quite a while. Didn't get here by just playing...the UA-camr's are generally solid players, but they're also vocal and use teamwork. They aren't winning purely on skill (though they are very skilled)...you can win games as often as they do, just use teamwork and comms instead of being a hermit :) I'd love to run into Baradul and Tex. In the same game.
Did this game get a graphics update ? I remember this game has naver been that crisp. It was blurry and most the colors and effects where muddy and washed out. Strange.
I haven't had any success with the Anni so far, but as there is still that assault sale, I should give it one more try with this build. Without support (happens most of the time), your just dead, though. You're lucky here! ;) tha
Same for me, I have tried similar stuff and I get focused and killed most of the time (like that anni in the second game basically)... I am guessing a bit of "streamer effect" helps with getting more support from the team (plus baradul insane skill of course).
Bara's close up, in your face brawling style tends to cause a lot of team overlap in movement. It's the best way to insure armor sharing, keeping a constant stream of fire going at the enemies as your cooldowns alternate with teammates, but it also results in occasional backshots and arm hits, especially from arm mounted weapons. As long as the number is under 20 or so, you are not going to be doing any horrible damage to your team. Also, the occasional Light Squirrel mech running through the ranks late game is goign to result in all manner of stray shots hitting friendlies, that's kind of the point. Stupid ankle biters.
wait...do RAC2 and RAC5 share a heat group? or am i just thinking about lasers and SRMs? would be amazing to be rinning the 5 RAC build. Wait, LRM event? let me close down Starcraft and grab my Kitfox.
For a different build: you should try the COR-7A with 325 light engine, 2x uac 10, 4x MPL and 4x AMS =) the build does need speed tweak to not end up as nascar fodder and full cool run is essential with those weapons... radar dep, armor and uac/magcap fills the rest of the sp. weapons are all quite high on the 7a so its ridgefriendly and the quad ams downs a LOT of missiles....

Some of the best games I've had is when the team goes with you, in a Fatlas and Anni.
An atlas fafnir and anhilator coming over the hill would make a lot of people backtrack.
That first game was crazy! Absolutely tore through your enemies. Excellent support from your teammates in both games.

I been running similar builds for a good year now on my ani and yea it's pretty broken i'm surprised it never got nerfed honestly. Love it!

like 4 years ago it was upgraded to dx11 from dx9, so yes it did.
I have a similar build, but as you say, this needs support of the team, if the team is supportive, this can push back a whole enemy lance.
The Anni needs a decal - or better 3 to be arranged one over the other.
