- This gameplay tutorial for Mechwarrior Online shows you how to utilize your Mech to it's best extend. I'll give you a rundown of the build and what it is made for and show you the actual combat role in two games on the battlefield.
MWO is a first person sim shooter where you can outfit your Battlemechs with a variety of weapons, reactors, support systems and armor. You play in teams of 12 people against other players and try to obliterate your foes with massive firepower.

I am using Haven Kendrick's Soundpack! Download it here: / haven_kendrick . To install, simply locate your Mechwarrior Online installation folder, open "Game" and you will see lots of .pak files. Drop the sound mod file into that folder with the other .pak files, restart the client, and you are good to go!

After ripping 90% the spider apart at the end of HPG, you finished him off with an AC-20 headshot kill

That Catapult that peeked over teh ramp at 8:10 regretted his choices immediately.
The vulture at 8:45 was even worse, he knew enemies were there and turned around to show his back.

And more than half of enemy team' damage in the second match added up could not compete with Baradul.

It is great to see the mighty beast Direwolf finally doing what it should, annihilate the enemy!
Most times I see them they just get outflanked and die in the first few minutes of a battle.
"I have a Trial of Position. There area lot of competitors. I need a mech to blow them all away quick, quiaff?" "Is there a weight limit?" "Neg." "Is there a load-out limit?" "Neg." "How do you feel about autocannons and Dire Wolfs?" "AFF."
That coordinated push at 8:30 is just awesome. Two Assaults just doing what Assaults are meant to do.

People running in front of you while fighting is the norm in this game. Faced off another Assault at almost point blank range , till one of us dropped. A medium teammate walked in between us. The other assault had high mounts , I didn’t . He kept shooting me in the face . I cored my teammate and lost the trade off. That med got us both killed. Happens a lot in my assaults.
I am simple man that clicks when he sees a Daishi.
An old saying of mine, what can kill a Widowmaker? Another Widowmaker. I stand corrected, the Deleter can absolutely wreck.
With each new video I'm more and more convinced you're a mad genius. Your builds and videos really help me enjoy this game more
Second match's score be like: "X kills, Y damage done, Z components destroyed and some war crime time for that 40 team damage" xD
To be fair they just walked in front of the ballistic stream both times, they were asking for it.
ahh the Dire Wolf.
The mech you bring into the fight when you don't care about salvage.
In the right hands, the mighty Dire Wolf brings death! Hence the Draconis Combine's nickname: The Daishi.
Armour and firepower. It is these traits which saw the 'Mech christened Daishi (pseudo-Japanese for "Great Death") by the criminal underbelly of the Draconis Combine, a name that would be proven grimly accurate time and time again.
I want to see more of this!

I declare that the Flea and the Locust are varients of a mother mech, the 15t Floacust.
The Flea actually has a 15-ton variant, just not in MWO, the FLE-14.

Pretty good. I still prefer 2xUAC10, 3xUAC5. More sustainable ammo and heat management, better on the range. Looks great for giggles though.
The only thing more enjoyable than trying out your builds is seeing your enthusiasm for the game!
Woah, I almost suggested a DWF build yesterday. x6 UAC 5 + 10T ammo + 3DHS. Drop leg armour down to 30 (I NEVER get legged) Been shredding with this for the last few days.

I run a variation of this build that includes 7 er micro lasers. It's incredible if you can get into the right position.

@baradul, the CPLT-J you killed in the second game was piloted by someone named “Ded Oleg” and he couldn’t be named better.
I'm instantly deleted when I play direwolf.
I slapped 5 C-AC10s on mine for 50dmg alpha every 2.5 secs, i feel it suits the mech well since despite having only 2 1/2 tons of ammo i have never run out of ammo before dying :(
Why split the ammo into 3 weapon systems? Surely another LBX20 instead of the UAC20 would be more efficient. Just curious.

it's a recent addition from youtube ... one of the better ideas they had ... so enjoy it as long as it lasts .. youtube may break it sooner or later ...

I have poor luck with UACs. They almost always jam after a single shot without double tapping.

You REALLY should be finishing with the LB20. If you close with it, there are better chances of the armor being removed for crit-chances.

That's it, people doesn't realise that super heavy assault mechs only works with ballistic builds, no lasers and no LRMs that's bullshit, overheating in assaults mean death!
i call your post bullshit ...you can very well build a full on missileboat or lasvomit assaultmech
no problem .. what people need to understand is how to possition their mechs ..
heck i started with a fafnir 5E with dual lb 10 and lrm 40 .. do you think i stood in the back with that thing? .. nope .. i softened up fools and killed them from midrange no problem while still tanking dmg if neccesary ..

Uhhh! That was crazy burstdamage! Did they change some quirks? I know i try that setup last winter but on my first alpha at testcourt it shutdown instant, so i was playing it with dobble ultra 10 and 2 Gauss mhhhh?! Do you mastert the use of ultra ACs jet, or maybe use a makro? i ve seen no jams and in all earlier Vids yout have lots of them with ultras... Whatever now the Ultraviolet model with its 8 ac2/lb2x is Ex-king of the direwhales xD
More reasons not to be on the enemy team when you see bara in the game.

... i also got a silly DW build of my own .. UAC 60 (no uac 10 but all 20´s, do NOT ever alpha)+ quad medium pulse iirc
I like that 2nd build but it sounds pretty hot with triple UAC 20 + 4 quad med pulse?
I do quad uac20 on one of my dwfs. chain firing its not that bad just a constant stream of big shells. 3 and lasers would be too hot i think. my can opener equivalent to baras build runs 2 lb20 and a uac20. less long range from no uac10s but can pack more ammo and cooling for the same alpha potential and no ghost heat.
@@kingslaphappy1533 sure is, you primarily use the uacs ... the lasers only as backup when severly jammed or if you happen to lose one of the uacs .. still better to use pulse over er, the DW has more than enough tonnage to spare
@@kingslaphappy1533 ok gotta correct myself it´s 4 er mediums afterall, which as said before you realy should only use as backup when uacs are jammed .. even then if well skilled in operations and heatgeneration you should barely get to your heatmanagmeantlimit other than against the toughest mechs ..

Is there any dire wolf build that isn't instant delete ?
I prefer my DW build. 6x UAC-2 w/10 tonnes of ammo. I never run out of ammo, never overheat, and my armour is maxxed out to the front. I have stopped a nascar dead on my own with the sheer volume of fire I put out and rarely duck for cover before my team can swarm the flank. Your build is nice, but it over heats and you run low in ammo fast.
that build even if overheating will outdps yours, you primarily have the range advantage ..
my primary DW build at the moment is a dual uac 10 + triple uac 5 which is wonderfully chain and alphadoubletapable, and i can tell it will do more dmg and still be cold enough while outdpsing your build ..
@@MrTBSC , I like my build because I can literally hold down the trigger for the entire match and not overheat or run out of ammo. My build is great at stalling a rush. Yes I don't do a lot of IMMEDIATE high dps, but I make up for it in continuous volume where your build needs to stop/pause due to overheat.

I miss when mechwarrior combat was all about slugfests of attrition. Y'know, drawn out battles of blowing off components and whatnot. The MWO beta kinda had that feel back in 2012, but it didn't stick around for long before things like laser vomit and ppc/gauss combos came about. It's just my opinion, but the whole appeal of the franchise kind of got undermined by the twitch-shooter approach MWO took in its later years.

Why do they mix the naming in the game? They call this mech a Dire Wolf (the clan name for it) and not a Daishi (Inner Sphere name for it). But they call the Timber Wolf (clan name) a Madcat (Inner Sphere name).... I personally like calling the mechs the name they were giving by the people that made them...
Why o why is it always assaults that disconnect. Must be a bug in the game somewhere.

How many matches did you need for those 2? I mean.. Dire wolf.. when I play that thing, 50% of my matches are absolutely awful, 30% bad, 15% ok-ish and only 5% leave a good feeling. ;)
