    Watching you live your life is so aspirational. You own a house, you have a healthy relationship with your life partner, you own some very lovely pups, youre into interior design, video games, gardening and you stay on top of your health as best as you can! I look forward to a day when I can say those things about myself. Thanks for showing us some of the simple pleasures in your life, it's so encouraging and relaxing.

    This is where I'm at right now. 30 years of excruciating pain, having doctors tell me that's normal and it's not that bad. Went for my yearly a couple weeks ago, told him (again) that my periods are lasting 2-3 months at a time, he decided to do an ultrasound and found my lining was too thick. He did a biopsy which came back inconclusive, so I'm scheduled May 3rd for a hysteroscopy. They're going to put me under and head on in and cut out some larger pieces for testing. I talked with the surgeon who is going to do it last week. I told her how awful everything was, and how I've been begging for a hysterotomy so i could have a normal life for the last three decades. I told her about how my doctors always said no, because "I might want kids some day." And my surgeon said the most beautiful thing I've ever heard someone say: "That's stupid, let's get you set up for that later this year."
    Guys, gals, and non-binary pals, get your bets checked. No matter what bits you have, get them checked regularly. And if you know in your heart something isn't right in your body, never stop fighting until you get someone who listens to you.

      I also have endo! Excision is an option that can reduce pain if you may want to perserve your ability to have children, or if you'd like to avoid hormone therapy post hysterectomy. I'm so glad you've found a surgeon will do the hysterectomy for you if that's what you choose. This disease is so hard. I'm so proud of you for not giving up! ❤

      This happened to me!! I passed out and ended up in the ER from period cramps, eventually got both an ultra sound + a biopsy, but since the thickened uterine lining isn’t cancerous they said just to ignore it 😭😭

    • @piperbird7193
      @piperbird7193 6 місяців тому +4

      @@samasce1550 It's so frustrating, isn't it! I think the biopsy finally got my point across. My OBGYN said it would feel like severe cramps, so I was expecting MY severe cramps, not just the little annoying pinch-y cramps I get the days before my period starts. Telling him that was a pain level of 2 compared to my regular cramps of an 8, I think he finally got some perspective about how bad my cramps are.
      Keep fighting! I hope you are heard soon and you can get some relief.

      I find it appalingly unethical that the doctor would try to impose their childbearing opinions on a patient, to be honest. If they are morally against performing the operation, it should at least be their duty to recommend a doctor who isn't. Stalling you for 30 years over their own life choices is tantamount to abuse, as it has drastically affected your quality of life. Have you filed a complaint or claim for this behavior? I am so glad you have found an honest professional who actually stands by their Hippocratic oath instead of their narrow world view. Good things are coming ❤

    Probably too late, but as a former chef turned interior designer, I REALLY advise to not get touch controlled appliances if you can avoid it. They break very easily and then often require a full unit replacement (rather than a switch or knob or button fixed), are too easy to activate or change settings on without realizing, and can be hard/impossible to set with even very slightly wet/oily/floury/cold hands-- incredibly common when cooking and baking. It is so much better functionally to have tactile feedback and replaceable parts even if you have to give up a little bit of sleekness.

  • @user-br2mf5yf3g
    @user-br2mf5yf3g 6 місяців тому +36

    You should definitely pick a bench top with a slight pattern or lines, the straight white countertop in the kitchen makes it very easy to spot any stains, fingerprints or mess and actually makes it look dirty compared to a countertop with some sort of pattern even if it’s mostly plain white.
    So happy you’re back and feeling better, and I’m so happy for you that you finally get to renovate a kitchen of your own like you have always dreamt of while playing the sims! ❤❤❤

  • @Bloodanna
    @Bloodanna 6 місяців тому +3

    The touch thing on the appliances seems cool but, in my experience, very frustrating.
    If it gets warm and you run warm it will often not register you or if you run cold it also tends not to register you when it's turned off...
    Touch screens are the bane of my existence. XD

    I have endometriosis. I've had it for 16 years now. They said my options are birth control or get pregnant. They don't want to do any surgery because "I'm too young" even though I'm almost 30 years old. Growing up I had the worst period cramps to the point I would just bawl my eyes out. Birth control has definitely helped, but I still have constant pain but not as bad as it was.

      I also have endo and agree with @JustBriana. Getting pregnant isn’t good advice if you don’t wish to have a baby right now (or ever). Birth control also doesn’t fix endo, although it can help. Highly recommend you to look for a gynaecologist specialised in endo and, more than that, who’s human and truly concerned about your wellbeing. If you’re in Sydney (Australia), I highly recommend my gynaecologist - Dr Supuni (you can easily find more info about her through a simple Google search as she’s got a very detailed website).
      Wishing you all the best, fellow endo warrior! 🩵

    Hey deli, the neff oven with the flip handle has the „slide-an-hide“ Feature where the door vanishes into the bottom of the oven. Its pretty neat as the door isn’t in the way when getting things in an out. 😊

    • @SweetLittleBecky101
      @SweetLittleBecky101 6 місяців тому +1

      Yes! I have the exact same oven and the slide-and-hide door is an absolute gamechanger, can't recommend it enough. That feature obviously works best, when you mount it in a cabinet on working height. If it's not too late for that deision, you can look out for this or any other brand that may have a similar feature in their catalogue. You can also get a replacement rig (where the trays sit on) for the Neff one, where the rigs expand and slide out so you don't have to get your hand into the hot oven all the time to get stuff out.

    Tomato tips! Tomatoes are ready to pick when you give a gentle tug and they come right off the vine. Or you can pick them early and let them ripen indoors. If you pick green tomatoes, you can wrap them in paper and stow them away, then expose them to sunlight later to ripen, and have fresh tomatoes after the season is over!
    And yes, the smell of a tomato plant is one of my absolute favorite smells.😊

    the door slides in like a drawer and it is just impossible to burn yourself with the hot oven door (yeah, I'm a bit clumsy I guess), while putting something in/ taking something out. and it is just so practical, as it gives you so much more space, with the door hidden within the oven, I just love it 😍

    Your tomato plants are the best to grow them while stringing them up. This helps the plant not to collaps under the weight of the tomatos. Also when the plant starts to grow you are supposed to pick the new stems of the plants where it starts to get crowded, this way you should focus only on the parts of the plant that grow the fruit. It gives you more and bigger fruits this way. And you can pick them whenever you feel like eating a tomato or when they are red and the skin starts to "give" a little.

    If the Caesarstone color you like is JUST discontinued, that just means they aren't making anymore on their line. They CAN make more on special order, it may come with a fee and will take longer. But if it was recent, ask if they have 2 slabs from similar dialots left. They still have to sell what they have left. If it wasn't recent, then they can make more on special "made to order". Although AU stock may be different from US.

You can pick them anytime after they start turning red (or whatever their ripe color is) - as long as they started to change color, they will continue to ripen after you pick them (to ripen quicker, place in a paper bag in a cool dark place with other ripe fruit).

    I'm currently waiting for my surgery to (hopefully) confirm the endometriosis diagnosis. In Norway they basically just give you a lot of birth control to try and skip periods hoping to "ease" the symptoms. Didn't help for me at all. I finally got on the waitlist for the surgery. 60 week estimated wait list 😧 Hope it can confirm more and they can treat it. I get prescription pain killers since it's so bad. Good luck to you! I hope they find a good way to treat your symptoms

    I do not understand your tastes at all as I am a huge colour person (I'm currently painting my living room lime green and a rosy pastel pink!), but I love how excited and happy you sound about everything.
    I hope you love it and it makes your heart sing every time you walk into the kitchen. 😊

    I love my half sized oven even with my family of five, I use it more for sheet pan things like cookies and rolls or sheet pan dinners, while my full sized oven does everything else.

    I have recently been diagnosed with Endo and what has worked better than any pain relief meds for me has been heat pads. Also, I have stone in my kitchen and it is a NIGHTMARE to keep clean so if you’re going for it, KEEP IT AWAY FROM THE STOVE TOP 😂 the grease will not come off!

    Not to confuse you or anything but the big side by side fridge and freezer combo we got was the best purchase my bf and I ever made. We're literally fawning over it a year later still because it's just so awesome to have that much space. I buy meat on sale at the butchers (which is crazy for me cause growing up we always used to by pre packaged stuff cause going to the butchers is more expensive) and I freeze it in batches and thaw what I need and re-buy a couple of months later. I also have tons of vegetables so even when I make an instant Ramen package cause it's late or I'm down or whatever I have frozen carrots, mushrooms, peas, sweet corn, spring onions (I cut and freeze those myself) etc. and I throw in a spoonfull of each and it's just the best thing. I can also freeze stuff like leftover sauce from a roast and use it as a stock base for other dishes (for example when I have a little box of frozen beef sauce I throw it into my cottage pie mince and vegetable mix and it just makes everything come together and it reduces waste). I know this is a lot of rambling about a refrigerator/freezer combo but it's honestly the best :D The fridge is sometimes a bit on the empty side to be fair but sometimes we're glad for the space there too.

    Yay Deli vlog! Holy moly, you are gonna have so many grape tomatoes. Those plants can give and give and give. You can pick them at first blush and let them ripen on the counter or let them ripen on the vine. I have to pick mine early to keep them from the dang squirrels but you can probably let them vine ripen under the netting. Some say vine ripened taste better but they all taste good to me!

    This was a hard video for me to watch. I was in Melbourne for a working holiday from October last year. I was supposed to be there for a year. I struggle to find a job (got one in Zara in the Chadstone shopping centre but it was only casual) and I struggled to find a place to live. I ended up in a flat that was mouldy. I didn't want to touch anything or cook in the kitchen. I was there for week. I just kept getting ghosted. I've lost count on how many times I was ghosted. I returned to the UK in January. Its hard to talk about. I wish I was still there. It hurts every day I'm not there.
    Keep up the good work. I love your videos!

    Hello, I don't usually comment but speaking about semi-integrated dishwashers because you can't see anything otherwise - mine is fully integrated but projects the time remaining on the floor, which I find brilliant. it also opens on its own, so the steam isn't trapped and doesn't damage any more delicate pieces. Mine is electrolux. Maybe have a look?

    I love strawberry rhubarb jam. I live in Texas and it doesn't really thrive where I live, but up in the northern Midwest US in states like Minnesota and Iowa, it grows really well. I grew up going to visit my grandparents every summer up north so we got lots of veggies out of the garden.

    That seemed a good size sink - my mum and I run by the rule that you need a sink big enough to be able to wash a baking tray in it. Currently, we have two small round sinks, so big items need to be washed in the laundry. Suuuuch a pain.
    And Miss Frani is so cute! What a little bear cub.

    Unfortunatly if i ever got to owen my own home i could never have that flooringyou have in your kitchen as my abusive mopther has it and so every time i see it it just brings back bad memories.

    I found out about my endometriosis when I started trying to get pregnant. After 2 years of trying I went to a doctor who asked for a different bloodwork panel and found out that the pain I’ve had for my entire life during my period was not the norm. 🫠 I was 37. Very late in the game for getting pregnant. I’m 41 now and I understand a couple things about my body and period a lot better. But it should’ve /could’ve been sooner if my previous doctors had thought to investigate my cramps and flow. It’s really good to see younger generations more aware of their bodies and looking into things sooner.
    Someone mentioned something about picking counter tops with e little more grains in them and I second that. I renovated our bathroom a couple years ago and went with light colored everything. It looks beautiful right after you clean it. And that’s it. The rest of the time, when life’s happening, you can see *every little piece of dirt* 😂
    The garden looks AMAZING. You’ve developed the greenest thumb ever!

    For your Capsicums I believe their call bell peppers in Canada, and if so once they turn red when they're ready to be piked. We grow them in our garden and they turn red once the weather turns hot.
