I turned Ziggy into Phil Chill and made him a yoga instructor because I didn't have the knitting pack. I feel keeping it as Ziggy it could still work as he is laid back and creative, so could do community yoga classes as an extra creative/laid back outlet? :) The cross-stitching sells quite well in a normal selling table though so that could be an option if Plopsy is bugged too.
I have a little garden patch in Beatrice back-garden with fruits/basics/herbs for all her cooking and you could name the chickens based on sweet treats to go with the theme? :)
PHIL CHILL 😅 LOVVE
This is a great idea
Definitely Iove that❤
Beatrice put the jar back in the pot so the lids will seal. A jam jar has the ring lid and the flat lid. When you're done making the jam and it's still hot, you put the flat lid on first and then screw the ring lid on. You then put the jar into water that you bring to a boil to seal the lids to the jar. That's why, when you unscrew a jam jar, the flat lid pops as air starts to fill the jar.
Here we don't have the ring lids often. It's just the jar and the metal flat lid, so that can often be the case too I guess. Granted that as people try save money on that and also by re-using the lids many times, the seal sometimes breaks and mold gets in. (Btw never eat preserves that have mold on them, it's in the whole jar, not just the top.)
But I totally agree - the sims first make the preserve and then seal it. I'm glad they put it in the game with the sealing included.
@@alkemi5522 i would hope no one eats moldy preserves, it could kill you
@@kamiko70 people did and still do take the visible part out and eat the rest to save money and not just for preserves. It's been hanging from older generations. Luckily young people know why they shouldn't.
That's Eastern Europe vibes...
The biggest risk is it will eventually give you cancer, because the molds produce carcinogenic toxins. Which in the past people didn't know and nobody educates them on that, except their children whom they don't listen to.
Came here to say this! Thanks.
The oversized fruits and veggies aren’t phased by the weather if you plant them they will grow no matter what and you can can all of them ❤
It would be SO cute to name the chickens after baked goods since that’s what their eggs are going to! Cookie, cupcake, biscuit, etc. Fruit and veg names would also be adorable.
Cute!
I was thinking shades of pink. Blush,Neon,Barbie,Bubblegum, Flamingo, Fuchsia, Magenta etc. ❤
I like both ideas to name them after baked goods and to think pink like for example "Strawberry"
For Beatrice's backyard, maybe a berry patch? I love the canning in this game and I wish there was more I could do with it!
what more could you want then jam and pastries? /j
Beatrice is a good sim
Fun fact: Agnes Crumplebottom is actually Mortimer Goth’s maternal aunt 😊
So the Goths ARE the most iconic
Ziggy should have a llama so he can sell the wool and use it to knit and cross stitch. Maybe if the game is too buggy for him to earn his own renovation money you could play it like he's a victim of the system and his neighbours love him so much that they buy his work for $10k so he can continue knitting them cool decor. COMMUNE LIVING BABY
I loved this ideia lol I was collecting wool from the mini sheep, so I could get different colors, but I can totally add a llama
i dont know what type of commune you live in, but in a true commune, which i a living organism. everyone works together, and they share the end result as one big happy family. sell the outsiders your goods, not your family. they get it for free.
I love this and he could make money selling the wool if the game is buggy and won’t let him make decent money selling the knitting
@@androm4ca I had a lama but I think I am going to switch to a mini sheep. It’s less work somehow and it’s already a cat spot anyway since one more small animal. Somehow Ziggy got a little distracted from knitting to take care of the homeless cats 😂
Does anyone else get "the lady who lived in a shoe" vibes from the cottage? Haha. I LOVE it ❤
haha love it!
I really like this tiny-town-series 🏡🐢🌿
Love this series, it feels like episodes of a comfort show!
Beatrice having some bees for honey would be super cute!! She could sell honey or use it in any recipes! 🤍
That would be really cute
Such a cute cottage. Love all the flowers surrounding the yard. The community centre looks epic and really coming along! Can't wait to see the gardener and Ms Jam work together.... Or be rivals haha
Ziggy could be a street performer (City Living) trying to get tips on playing an instrument or The Fabrication skill (Eco Lifestyle) trying to sell the furniture products at the flea market
I gave Ziggy a guitar to get tips! And a racoon with a bush for feathers! But I also don't want to move on from him lol he's probably my favourite sim I've ever played!
I actually made a knitting cat lady for this role, and activated the cat hangout for lot traits. And yes, she gets feathers that way! :)
OMG I'm stealing this 🥹
This is a great challenge and I’m loving this series. It inspired me to do a tiny town/rags to riches/legacy challenge mashup. Each child will “move out” to a new section, start with no money, and find a way to contribute to the estate. Playing with off the grid and simple living too. This has been really fun.
57s ago
Yaaaay new episode! I’m also doing the challenge and I’m on my second sim, Opal Gem 😊 btw, your James’ “oh yeah batuu!” impression was so cute 😂
I’m so keen to play Opal!
When you pointed out the music being from sims1 I got SO NOSTALGIC! 🥹😭 Like I'm watching this beautiful pink build crying from the memories 😂🩷
I love the renovation! Having a coop and growing ingredients sounds like a fun idea
9:29 mrs crumpleass lmfao
not sure if this has been brought up before, but what do you think about adding all your tiny town sims to a club so they can do community activities like helping with the chickens or gardening?
chicken names: henrietta, rosie, goldie, agnes XD, henny penny. if you get a rooster: cluck norris LOL
Beatrice’s house is adorable, Deli! Really loving this series. And, as requested, some chicken names:
Hennifer Aniston / Garner / Lopez, etc, whichever surname you fancy
Cluck Norris
Yolks Ono
Feather Locklear
Sal Monella (a little drag queen option 😊)
Hillary Fluff
Meryl Cheep
Henrietta
❤
Omg these are amazing 😂
LOL, I just put a bunch of the same ones in a comment plus a few that are different. Love those!
I always have a Henmione Ranger (I like how both the first and last names are chicken themed, lol)
@@deligracy Glad you enjoyed them! ❤️😂
@@Geekabibble LOL that one is great too!
15:58 deli talking abt the trixie and katya podcast was so cool bc i listen to it all the time while building !!!
The Brown Hen should be Marmalade (ya know, like the fruit preserves)! Maybe they can have fruit names to go with Beatrice's theme of Jam! As an owner of a flock of chickens, I name my girls Granny names and floral names! Best of love, Deli!!!
10:28 Maybe Ziggy's skill could be Fabrication? 🤔 he could make furniture with the machine, make candles and dumpster dive!
23:53 I love how the very happy sound effects plays when you're showing the amazing room Beatrice has 🩷
Omg thank you for not taking too long updating this series it’s my favorite rn!!!🥹
13:36 - Cottage style is the best style for me because I live in the countryside there is a lot of cottages also it is my favourite style to build in. ❤
It’s much easier to build what you are familiar with and surrounded by for sure!
@@deligracy omg tysm for replying to my comment I’ve watched your channel for ages!!❤️
The sims 1 music, not me directly humming along while cooking… did not know how much I missed that. TY!
I’ve seen so many other sim UA-camrs do this challenge after you created it, I’m obsessed with watching everyone’s video, thank for making this challenge it is just amazing to see what other people come up with
I started with Azure as well! I kept the prairie grass lot trait and used it to get seeds and started a community garden! All of the sims as they moved in, they had access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs for food until they got started and had flowers to sell, and Mr. Stem (the flower arranger) had access to flowers so he could get started making money! With Azure, I also built public bathrooms (one for the men and one for the women) and it helped so much! I did notice that I had to place a mail box for each sim, and once they had money, their own garbage bin. I restarted the challenge and used the large dumpster from the eco pack for garbage (as well as a way of getting "free" stuff) and the large mail box from the For Rent pack. I placed them before I moved in any sims, and also placed a foundation and roof on Beatrice's lot to protect the appliances to keep them from breaking as they're free (plus it also acted as a rental unit without the extra cost or having a premade house!). Edited to add: Also regarding Sims needing more pink options? YES PLEASE! I'm a 3 1/2 year breast cancer survivor, and Bea's house is literally my dream because it's all pink! And I agree! I would LOVE a bedroom like hers!
I absolutely love this series. It is the first LP challenge I have done it making me learn how to build lol . I’m really bad at it but it’s fun trying.
I can’t handle how cute her lot is. ❤❤❤❤
Sims 1 & 2 music makes me so happy! I’m loving this series! I definitely want to try it!
I finished a masters degree last year and I made a 'sims playlist' on Spotify of all the sims 1 music and that was what I listened to when I did my assignments! I absolutely love the Sims 1 music ❤ so nostalgic 💕 thank you for using it Deli xx
Absolutely OBSESSED with this challenge! I explained the premise to my partner (who is not really into The Sims) and now we are playing it together! Just finished creating our own 7 characters and started playing a little while ago. Having so much fun :)
My thought for Ziggy if the knitting/cross stitching is bugged... is to get a drone/media production station and have him make money doing Crafting Videos. That way he can keep his theme but still get simoleans.
Love the cottage roof! So creative and adorable! 🥰
Edit: Also chicken names: Trixie, Katya and Ru
Love it!!
Just watched the first 4 episodes and looking forward to more, what a fun idea for a challenge!
I'm on my fifth sim! So excited to keep watching yours! I've got a community pool and a playground! Also, Cyprus is building planters for the garden and just finished a treehouse!
Let’s go Cypress!
11:44 She's putting the jam jars on the stove again to can them. This is how you can food ! You put a sterilized jar full of good stuff you want to can in boiling water for about 30-45 min ! It's easy ! Try it !
The sims 1 music while building AND this being a brand new challenge feel like Sims 1 type of fun and I’m loving it!
Girl! I listen to this all the time too! The memories, the happy thoughts, and the motivation really changes when it plays! I listen to this when I’m doing DIYs too!
Love that you are a Bald and the Beautiful fan!!! 🩷❤️🩷❤️🩷❤️
I love this whole Tiny Town idea - so creative!!!🥰
no its not what would be creative if she had a story around them , you must sit and stare at houses fr hours on end if you think thats creative lol
I actually got rid of the tents and put a murphy bed in the community house with the first sim that moved in. I also like the idea of stocking the community house with food and items for the next person. I made the selling tables at the front of the lot because it makes it easier for sims to get there for the yard sales. They're also community items. Batuu! 🤣 I think I missed that? I'll have to go back and look for it.
i like the Battuu tent. everyone sleeps in it, no one cares if someone else gets in it with them, and they have a refreshing night sleep in there. i use that on my outdoor loving families.
You're pronouncing Challah right! I'm so happy you love it so much (:
You should try to bake a Challah yourself, it really isn't difficult, There are a lot of tutorials that show how to braid a Challah.
Thank you for this series ❤
For ziggy, actual knitting is a bit bugged and plopsy takes ages but, I made lots of animal clothes (with the knitting skill) which sell really well instantly!
Don't give up on ziggy!!!
That's what I did, too! Worked great for me!
This series is so wholesome! I love each update to the tiny town!
I’ve just finished ziggy and done knitting and selling through plopsy. It takes A LOT of patience. You can sell cross-stitching on the selling table though! You get a decent amount from there
16:13 love Trixie and Katya!!! Just saw them in San Diego! So good!
When you don't have for rent....you could also close the door(s) from the tinyhouse(s) (or only the bedrooms) for everyone except the house owner.... and/or give the beds to a certain person I think.....
So nice vibes; Deligracy, the sims music and sitting here toasting my screen with my own Tea Time Glubee mug 😂🥰 Love these Tiny Town videos so much ❤️
It's been a while since I've so excitedly clicked on a video in my feed!!! Loving this series, such an awesome idea
I feel the exact same about the music!!! I miss it so much. Makes me feel at peace with the world ❤
the fact that you love trixie and katya makes me love you even more
Ziggy could do the style influence career from high school years if knitting and cross stitching is bugged. That way since he's selecting outfits/thrifting and selling them, he's still technically working with clothing and fabrics thus living up to his last name still? he could sell from his home and resell them to the local community? It's also a good way for him to be able to still express himself creatively.
I absolutely am loving this series! I hate playing on a single family lot now that we have shared residential as an option. It's so nice to have your neighbors bustling around
Yesss Trixie & Katya are the best!!
Yayy another episode! I am really enjoying this challenge of yours! The cottage is litterally the CUTEST❤❤
I’ve been waiting for this all week 🙌🏻
Ziggy Yarn can be a story teller famous for his “yarns” (a colloquial term for story)
This is the best series you’ve ever created, Deli. Love that you also love Trixie and Katya. Love their podcast
You and Beatrice have reminded me of the song (also known to be a Belgian techno anthem) 'Pump up the Jam'.
I wish you could use that in a video and just cut it in when she's cooking jam.
Explanation: in one of the Philomena Cunk documentary series they put the song in in every episode. It's hilarious.
Azure walked so the rest of the Tiny Town members could run 🤣 I declare her the mayor of this town LOL
Okay I LOVE watching your creative process SO MUCH. I knew you were gonna make that cottage look great but you made it look stylish and bold and adorable af!!
*You've done so well creating this challenge! Definitely do more like this in future! Such a fun concept!*
*Next time though, make it much harder for them initially and let them forage and fish for their money rather than give them items they need.*
Hi Deli! I'm currently playing the challenge and the wheel made me start with knitting and cross stitching. Knitting isn't bugged per se, it's just that you can't sell knitted items on the selling table. Most of it can only be sold on Plopsy which takes ages. But you can sell knitted animal clothes from the inventory. There is however nothing wrong with cross stitching, it works perfectly. I was able to finish the challenge with knitting but it was by far the hardest challenge and took a while.
YES Sims & Zelda music for the anxieties
Nice community center. Yeah for the bathroom! So funny about Batuu. Her house is cute and looks like a shoe or boot. A kitchen garden sounds like a good idea.
So bloomin' cute ♥I think we keep the "a" sound at the end of conserva, which makes sense because translated to English it means "preserves". I strangely love the Sims 1 build soundtrack too. Remember cringing at it playing on and on while building back in the day though.
0:25 OK I'm going to make coffee. Tnx Deli 😊❤
Lovin' the Sims 1 music! Makes me Happy!
I am doing this challenge and Ziggy was my first Sim. I bought him a llama named Legume and we got loads of fun wool for Ziggy to use in his cross stitches. We also entered Legume and his wall into the fair 🥰
The Bald and the Beautiful is so fun!! Might I also recommend Very Delta! I can't get enough Delta Work in my life 😂❤
I love this series so much!!!
@18:34 i picked for my colors the rainbow...
Red: Ginger Snap- Baker
Orange: Clay Muse- Painter
Yellow: Candid Lens- Photography
Green: Oasis Fields- Gardening/ Flowers
Blue: Ebony Mercury- Jeweler maker
Purple: Emily Woods- Knitting and lawyer... (After Emily D Baker and Elle Woods)
Black: Rob Lumber- Wood crafter... (After Rob from Law and Lumber)
White: Runkle Gruner- Nectar Maker (After Runkle of the Bailey).
Deli said "Get yourself a cuppa tea" right as i took a sip of tea😂
Love the Glubee mug!! ❤I am really enjoying this series.. haven’t been able to play Sims in awhile so watching you with this challenge is super refreshing. Definitely will have to try it out one day 🎉
Deli you and James should have a competition remodeling the ship wreck in Sulani
@Deligracy She puts the jars back on the stove to seal the mason jars
A thought for the roof above the shop so you can show off the sign? The glass roof. You could use light colors to make it look like a little conservatory inspired “building” That way it’s weather proofed but still available to see into.
This is such a fun idea for a Sims playthrough. I’m loving this series!
I'm doing this challenge as well (love it!) and I didn't have any problems with Ziggy making money from his stuff, I just found that Plopsy was very slow to sell on. Once he got to cranking out the knits, he was fine. I did get him a llama as well. I've had the most challenges with Beatrice as I don't have Home Chef Hustle so it was very hard for her to make money from cooking/baking. I tried canning but ended out swapping her to nectar making, but she doesn't sell to the Mysterious Rancher to avoid making millions instantly, lol.
Oh my gosh, I love the store!!! This whole cottage turned out so cute!
Oh yay a new episode!!! Thank you!
I am LOVING this challenge! May be my new favorite and cannot wait to try!
The Sims 1 music is iconic. It makes me so happy. 🥹
I never had the urge to play a challenge myself except form this on. The concept is brillant!
I love the sims 1 music but my fav is sims 2 music because it brings back so many memories.
I'm loving this Let's Play. This Tiny House Challenge is a great idea, thank you for creating it. I suggest one of the hens be named Henny Penny.
I started with Ziggy. It took a while to get his house done and a communal bathroom, but it was possible. Sometimes with the knitting, you have to choose a different seat to knit from and then it'll work. Cross stitch he would just start without any prompting from me.
I am so invested in this series! And loving the cottage build!
Also, for Beatrice i basically only sold Challah but if you make it with prepped ingredients, a lot of the time i get 2.
Well, if you do any baking, you could make Challah at home! It's not really any more difficult than other breads (I don't think, anyway? I've been baking since I could stand though, so my entire perception of bread baking might be skewed, lol. Can't cook rice, though!), and then you have the benefit of getting to have it super duper fresh! Truly one of the best breads ♥
More relevant to the video: this challenge really is such a fun idea, and I look forward to trying it in my own game- I've already downloaded the lot!
I'd add fashion/thrifting to Ziggy's skills. Make him a Queer Eye Guy or Tim Gunn character.
This challenge was so fun for me! It went by a bit too quickly so I finished everything but my sims went a completely different way. My little village is growing so soon enough there's gonna be 3 kids running around! At some I need to turn community are into a place for the kids to play but I'm so excited to be watching your let's play on this! Also when it comes to knitting I didn't have any trouble. It took a little bit for me to make money from it but I assumed it was normal.
I've been loving the Sims 1 music!
YES Sims 1 music!! I always say that I would get married walking down the aisle to the Sims 1 soundtrack LOL 😂😂
SAME
As for some additional money making tips I’ve added the community dumpster (they can dive for deals like once per day or something) and also some prairie grass. I try not to abuse those frequently as it kills the whole challenge idea, but sometimes it can be a helping hand on the money grind
Absolutely loving the series deli 🥰 also your sims outfits always slay!! You underrate your create a sim ability so much, these sims are adorbs!
I am currently doing Ziggy as my first sim on the lot and it is a struggle but also makes it sooo rewarding when I manage to make some money. And it is alot of fun. I did decide to not do crosstitch and focus on knitting and putting it on plopsy :)
I would *love* “Trixie and Katya in the Sims” content!!!
