F‘ it. You can carry a revolver if you like. Isn’t there a study that says that citizen involved shooting last most of the time only 2-3 rounds. A revolver can do the job also.
Everything you've said about the safety is why I've determined that I want a Beretta 92 series. The decock lever is such a smart feature. Also my screwed up brain also doesn't like the idea of having one in the pipe and a spring loaded device ready to fire one into something that doesn't need to be fired into...
I know I was supposed to be looking at the gun but goddamn man that hair is too damn perfect. Not gonna lie Bit gay for Brandon's Hair. #AKGnotificationssquad
First thing I thought of, and it’s a MAJOR plus for the Makarov... if you have to use the weapon in a self defense scenario, it’s going to likely be seized and held by law enforcement while the case is investigated. A $200 pistol isn’t a huge loss for a time. A $1000 seized handgun would sort of heart the old heart. So it’s a fine choice, Brandon. 👍🏼
I've always considered carrying a Makarov bc of its extreme reliability/durability, and bc lets face it, it's just sick af. Seeing someone else actually carry one makes me feel less stupid
30 years ago when I lived way out in the country . I picked up a DDR version with 4 magazines , holster and belt for 250 $ . Took my dog for his morning walk in the woods everyday and it was a perfect companion. And you are right , the ammo was cheap , even hollow points.

Like you, ive been interested and drawn to this piece since boyhood. In the 007 Goldeneye film, the villan general used one. I used to carry my G26 or G43X religiously... Good on you,. Forget the nay sayers.
Fudd lol
If you are a good guy and ccw I dont care what weapon
Shut up boomer
F‘ it. You can carry a revolver if you like. Isn’t there a study that says that citizen involved shooting last most of the time only 2-3 rounds. A revolver can do the job also.
You should carry an ak slung under your shirt at all times, it's all about stopping power.

Shoutout to Burn Notice....I freaking miss that show!!
“Like it cause it’s nifty or different or they saw it in Tarkov”
I like it cause it’s Sterling Archers Gun of choice.
Pretty sure Archer carries a ppk.
@@life_of_riley88 only clicked to say this.
@@americanheretic7993 heh you are a good Archer fan then.
Makarovs are a huge fanboyism of mine too. Glad to know they're reliable!
My carry is a smith and wesson 2.0 compact 9mm but my home defense gun is my Romanian draco pistol. Can't wait to SBR that baby
I would just throw a brace on it.
@@LegoLikeDaBlocks24 Oh, nice. What makes you wanna SBR it? Just more options?
@@redmenace1570 Just the pure aesthetics honestly. It's getting a triangle folder.
"Nah bulgaria ain't having that shit everythings steel"
From Bulgaria wiht love the gun is made in my home country 🇧🇬🇧🇬💙💙
Everything you've said about the safety is why I've determined that I want a Beretta 92 series. The decock lever is such a smart feature. Also my screwed up brain also doesn't like the idea of having one in the pipe and a spring loaded device ready to fire one into something that doesn't need to be fired into...
I know I was supposed to be looking at the gun but goddamn man that hair is too damn perfect.
Not gonna lie
Bit gay for Brandon's Hair.

I too love my "Soviet improved" Walther PP!
Schmerz improved?

5:29 “Nah, uhh, Bulgaria ain’t havin that shit, everything is steel” Best quote
First thing I thought of, and it’s a MAJOR plus for the Makarov... if you have to use the weapon in a self defense scenario, it’s going to likely be seized and held by law enforcement while the case is investigated. A $200 pistol isn’t a huge loss for a time. A $1000 seized handgun would sort of heart the old heart. So it’s a fine choice, Brandon. 👍🏼
That's why I always have two of each of my carry guns.
Exactly why I leave my beloved match 1911 home and carry the XD45. Well, there's also the 13-rd mags, night sights and light rail...
First comment, btw will you make an AK-50 SBR?
Khanh Giang Le No, the gas system is too long for that 😂
Khanh Giang Le the fireball from that would be LEGENDARY
Brandon Herrera I will use the gas system as a makeshift bayonet
29" barrel please 😁
I'd carry a pistol version
I've always considered carrying a Makarov bc of its extreme reliability/durability, and bc lets face it, it's just sick af. Seeing someone else actually carry one makes me feel less stupid
I carry two yeet cannons "my 92fs and my 380 pocket pistol." Im fixing to open carry a m57 in Alabama in the future.
I'm in bama too I got an m57 to hunt with 90 gr xtp's at 1700 fps is pretty mean
7.62x25 is an excellent round!!!
@@cosmolinefiend9853 agreed
Yeet canons? Are you sure you're old enough to carry?
@@mick_1976 you know there's a gun that's factory name is yeetcannon right
Honestly, listening to your love for this gun makes me want one.

30 years ago when I lived way out in the country . I picked up a DDR version with 4 magazines , holster and belt for 250 $ . Took my dog for his morning walk in the woods everyday and it was a perfect companion. And you are right , the ammo was cheap , even hollow points.
@AKGNotificationSquad FINALLY A GUN I CAN OWN! I need to add a Mak to my growing collection.
As a Nano fan, you should already have one! Shame!
Oof, in my country, guns are banned (except for hunting) and there is only 1 shooting range in the entire country! Yes, I live in Portugal

Here in Russia you can easily buy a shotgun or any non-rifled weapon if you're 18 y.o. and after buying it you'll get a permission to buy anything rifled from V-9 to Maxim 1910 (ofc semi-auto)
Just one thing bothers me...it's sooo hard to legally buy a pistol here.

I freaking died🤣
@dumbshit-with-alex9184 looked it up. They make Walther-style handguns for carry in calibers like 380. Auto, 9MM, etc.
Honestly I could just listen to him talk about the Makorov for a good few hours
That's alittle creepy.
Michal weston was helping a house sitter by saving his kidnapped girlfriend, fiona was keeping the house sitter company, and noticed the pistol in a glass case in the house, she mentiond she liked it and at the end of the episode, mike bought it from the house owner and giftednit to fiona at the end of the episode, i remember it well
"This is not me trying to get you to carry a makarov"
ah, too late
The best gun to carry is the one you have good muscle memory with and trust.
i love the makarov, when i play rimworld with the rimmu-nation mods, i always equip my medics with makarovs, and when it comes down to it ive seen them out shoot my hunters and guards in close quarters fights.
Love this game

My EDC is an 1851 colt navy! Get one, you will love it. I recommend the sheriff model since you want a shorter barrel.
I carry a Colt 1877 Lightning Shopkeeper model, do that shit bro
I've seen people seriously carry desert eagles and snubbie 500's do you man
Brandon you actually plan on playing Escape from Tarkov? That would be pretty sweet.
Between you and Hickock 45, I was convinved and I bought a Bulgarian Makarov. They are pretty damned sweet! I also bought a polish P64 (not really a mak), it's pretty rad as well.
Edit: yes, my mak made the Kessle run in under 12 parsecs.

My EDC is a Bersa Thunder 380, I carry it at 4 o'clock, so I don't worry about my breeder nuggets, but the safeties on it are why I carry it. I know this is very controversial, but I like the Mag-Drop safety. At my age, I hope it never has to come into play.
You love the gun because its safe and reliable how can you hate that?
lock the slide back, use the barrel and the frame as a bottle opener.
You can also use the ejection slot for a bottle opener. 😗
You can do the same thing with an AK magazine slot or an AK magazine. I believe one of the versions of the Galil has a bottle opener
Who needs a bottle opener to open vodka?
I bought one of those cheap south Korean ak mags and instead of throwing it away I now use it exclusively as a bottle opener
Yes the Galils do have a bottle opener
Love Maks! Also I carry a Cz-82, never has let me down. So accurate and reliable.
Haha, me too, although my cz82 needs a spring kit tune up because it sometimes hangs up on the feed, stopped carrying it until I get that fixed.
Like you, ive been interested and drawn to this piece since boyhood. In the 007 Goldeneye film, the villan general used one. I used to carry my G26 or G43X religiously... But ever since I got the Makarov (Circle 10 year 1978), I've fallen in love with this pistol. It is admirably and perfectly simple. Now they go for 500, when it used to cost half of that a decade ago.. but it didn't stop me from getting one.
Check out the Bersa Thunder Plus .380 PPK knock off yet with 15+1 and half the price. I love mine
