      Shawn, or team, I’d like to draw your attention to a UK Veterans podcast run by Ste “Nico” Nicholls. He’s discussing PTSD and suicide in great detail as well as talking through the firefights that saw his mates wounded and killed. I always enjoy your shows mate and have particularly enjoyed listening to Ed’s knowledge.

      DEA run the cartels in Mexico. Look into Genaro Luna. Luna worked directly with Obama, now Luna is waiting trial for connections with the cartels. ...this because Amlo and Trump ended USA's money making drug war in Mexico (Merida Initiative / Fast & Furious, made half billion $$ for US weapons manufactures), so USA started 'arresting' some key players. Luna has been waiting for trial in New York (Luna arrested December 9, 2019), in the mean time, USA has killed off witnesses ( helicopter crash in Mexico) destroyed evidence, etc. Chapo is DEA, he is witness protection. .... Amlo and Trump cut the deep stat's drug income stream.

    Many people simply don't realize how valuable social skills can be. These are skills that can be mastered and that reward a person very much for mastering. A person needs to be able to work and live with the humans around them or they won't last long. Those of us that can live and work amongst various environments with ease simply have a leg up on those who can't. Evolution on a global scale is happening with or without you, human. Great interview and breakdown. Ed is someone who takes non permissive/high threat knowledge to a whole new level. He always makes me realize how little i know, which pushes me to train more. The hemostats on the label is brilliant and so many uses.
    That TQ is made by Tacmed solutions. But the points Ed brought up about Hi-Viz TQ use is absolutely true. In a bloody, low light, high stress situation that moves into starting to strip someone for tactical field care it is surprisingly common for TQs to be cut by mistake thinking it is a piece of webbing not what I keeping someone alive. I personally carry hi-Viz on all but a handful of TQs in my larger kits. EDC is orange. The ability to lash gear I've used but moving metal is something I wouldn't have thought of, I have seen them used to secure a automatic door closer when clearing areas.
    Cigarettes are a great tool for gathering info, ask for a light and start talking, give someone a light cigarette and they will chat, and if you're smoking standing outside pretty much anywhere no one will question your intention.

    This is exactly hoe the Roman Empire was built. They were a sponge for military tactics and technology. Everything they built from weapons, formations mindset was based off of defeating the Greeks and later on the Spaniards. To survive for a long time you have to be able to adapt and build off of defeats which they had plenty of early on.

    When he was talking about the saver wedge door alarm and the other things that can be done with it that he can’t talk about. Basically what he was thinking is an electronic trigger device for what ever you want to connect it to. It acts as an electronic trip wire. Pretty much a relay. Same can be done with the personal alarm.
    When he was talking about hiding the cuff shim next to a rivet on pants is similar to how people sneak knifes into night clubs. You wear a belt with a metal buckle, clip your blade behind it on your boxers under your pants. The wand goes off on your crotch they see the metal buckle maybe tap it to see if it’s metal, and wave you through. I have never seen this method fail and I have seen it done a lot.

      @Hello Newman your rite, but it’s I pretty bad idea to even try that in a federal building. You have to weigh risk to reward. Your odds are a lot lower of needing it in a federal building compared to the jail time you face if busted with it.
      Chances are even if you did need it there it likely wouldn’t be enough to get you out of that situation given shit probably truly hit the fan if you needed it in a federal building.
      I would prefer to just improvise in that situation.
      If you were to go somewhere else were this method wouldn’t work they also make ceramic and micarta knifes. That aren’t going to set off any metal detectors.

    • @acesburn2390

      @Hello Newman look at the bone breaker multi tool. It’s the multi tool for this situation where they won’t let you have a blade on it. Passes through airport security no problem. Chances are this guy you are speaking of will find a reason for anything though. If so bring a roll of quarters in just as a fuck you to him. Used that or a lighter a lot as a youth and they make a difference.

Chapo is DEA, he is witness protection. .... • @ManOfTheWoods123
      @ManOfTheWoods123 3 роки тому +1

      Also a collector and there are definitely diminishing returns the higher in price you go. You're just getting ripped off and paying for a status symbol with certain makers. None of my preferred knives are American brands anymore. Over priced over hyped shit designs...With that said, I think he was really referring to the stabbing capability in particular. The construction and geometry of that paring knife- full tang, thin, spear point, is what makes it more effective rather than steel quality/heat treatment. A folding knife has an intrinsic strength disadvantage compared to a fixed, regardless of the specific locking mechanism we're talking about. And the overall blade geometry will play a bigger role in penetration capability than the sharpness of the edge or the knife's ability to retain that edge. But I do wonder what knives he was specifically testing. If it was like a Medford or some other $400 folding prybar like that I could definitely see that lol. But I can think of quite a few that I have to imagine would rival penetration capability with the added benefit of actually having a nice edge on decent steel.

    • @tommyrq180
      @tommyrq180 2 роки тому

      I think the key to the paring knife is that if you’re flying you can’t take weapons with you. When you arrive somewhere, head to Walmart and get yourself a knife. In my every day carry, I’ll carry a nice knife. No knife is perfect for every situation, but I can definitely see in a travel situation why a nice little paring knife with a cardboard/duct tape sheath would be a great alternative. Just my two cents.
