- Gran Turismo 4 has 721 cars from 80 different manufacturers to play around with in the game, lots of American cars , Europeans and Japanese models but out of those 80 manufactures what if we decided to stay loyal with 1 brand from start to finish?

@DoVe_7 No worries man, it's a sad tale that doesn't get talked about enough. Primarily because of Toyota trying to cover up the death of Kawai and also being sued for claiming driver error killed Fukuzawa, when it was the fault of the car both times. Love the video though ❤️

@@siddiq069 Toyota created the 7 to race in Japan and eventually America, but through flaws and mechanical faults in both incidents, the 7 killed two of its drivers in separate incidents. Toyota tried covering up the first death, which led to them being sued successfully for 61 million yen in 1981, and the death of Kawai led to them abandoning the project, their CanAm efforts and their attempt to get into the 24h Le Mans

I had the pleasure of witnessing this live, boy this challenge was fun to watch. I'm just surprised with what could be done with just one manufacturer in this game, considering not all the events were doable. Just goes to show with some persistence and *careful* driving, anything can happen. Another great video Dove, this was quite a fun one to watch through.

DUDE FR. i wanted to do a prize car only run, but couldn't because you have to buy a truck to enter, there's none that you can win as a prize car, so I just renamed the challenge to the "purchasing 1 car" run lmao

The Boxer Spirit was a CHALLENGE with a Toyota Sports 800 with a 2 cylinder Boxer engine

I got this as a random recommendation. It's been so many years since I've played this and so much I've never seen since I never could do it when I was younger. So glad to see videos of my favorite game from all those years ago. This got me to get back in the game and start trying it. Got a lot more GT4 videos to watch now

Never got to play GT4 myself. I only remember playing GT2 & GT3 when I was a kid.
Since you don't seem to know, you can press Start in Garage to tune cars like increasing downforce rather than going into a race, saves a lot of time!

@@DoVe_7 It's just neat because it doesn't use up a day in case you don't want to advance the counter (eg: want something from used lot before it disappears).
Another thing that could have been useful for this challenge, there's two amazing Celicas you can get that aren't in the normal shops, one is the Modelista from the Tuning Shop for 25500cr that pretty much destroys most events with just chip+nitrous, then a more expensive one at 100K in the Trial Tuning Shop (bottom last one in the Tuning Shops menu) that is the same but on steroids.
I’d love to see this challenge with a different car brand.

I was actually in the middle of doing this but with Mitsubishi, I knew it was technically impossible cause of the MR and Truck races, but it shocked me the 1970 GTO qualified for the classic car and FR cups. So sadly its almost doable D: Mitsu is my fav brand

Toyota didn’t just own Scion or Lexus. They MADE them. They literally are the same cars that Toyota sells with different badges and body panels, and in Lexus’ case, replacing some cheaper materials with some more expensive ones, especially the interior. Even the quirky xB was a Toyota, sold at one of their many themed dealerships, sold in Japan as the Bb.
Still, I enjoyed this video. Well done.

Daihatsu also is partly owned by toyota. Thats why toyota doesnt have any kei cars

That was such an amazing video, good job! I have a question though, it appears that you downloaded the GT4 Retexture mod, did that allow for the texture on the rear window of the MK3 Supra to be glitched?
Yea some cars have a few glitchy outlines but I tend to ignore them mostly

Toyota sells kei cars through Daihatsu, so Daihatsu was the correct choice for the Kei challenge.
A good suspension setup with around -2 degrees of camber in the front and -1.6 in the back, would have made it a bit more easy for you with the little toyota, but the challenge was very enjoyable to watch :) Back in the day a never taught about setup the cars, but nowadays i play GT4 with my Fanatec wheel and a good setup often gives me seconds of better lap times, cause cars are setup way to understeery from factory.
Honestly I'm terrible when it comes to suspension setups like I just don't know what to change for better perfomance
You should do it with Honda also I love your vids you do a great job on them❤
You can always try the final championship with soft tires and pitting more. I was able to do that with an R89C and be fast enough to minimize the time lost pitting, and the car was much easier to drive.
For the boxer event alone I left a like. I have no idea how you remained so calm

When I tried this I actually used the RSC Rally Raid and she actually dominates most races she can enter. She isn't just a gold mine, but a genuinely quick beast
