I get 2017 389 from Fitzgerald Glider it has Detriot Diesel Series 60 500 HP 12,7 Engines. It so good truck and engine unlike modern shit. I sold International LT with X15 Cummins that engines had lot issues with eletronic.
It was a Fitzgerald build. Their built motors didn't last past 250k-350k miles. I didn't hear the bad reviews about Fitz build until AFTER I bought mine, which was thankfully OH'd too.
Original Fitzgerald built, cheaper parts and workmanship install. This one has been Replaced with genuine Detroit parts. Even on great rebuilds the gliders won’t go the original million miles like in the 90’s because they aren’t all original new parts
Dude it New Engine Detriot Series 60. But it not Detriot Engine. Offical Detriot Diesel and Dalimer Ag doesn not have eneything with that engine. By Books an d record that Series of Engines is stop producing. But they make grand new engine parts for Series 60 . Wich they sold varios Glider Companys and overhaul. So by legal you can not service that thing in Detriot Diesel offical Service. Only in Glider Company that makes Engines. That way they cant reach 2 milion miles. Glider company dont have capacity of Orginal Manufactures.
@johnnym11 You can get services done at the dealer, or atleast I have here in Austin with mine. I bought a Pete 389 from Joey back in 2021, and it's been serviced at the Austin and Temple locations before. Granted, the more experienced/older techs worked on it due to it being "old school/pre-emissions", but it's not illegal to service them. That would mean anyone with even a non-glider, pre-2007 truck can't go to a dealer for service.....
I love that engine sound
2018 with Detroit 👌💯perfect 13 speed man that's a beauty 👍👍👍💪🙏
That makes, i was just wondering because I've come across them that have around those kinda miles .
Is this still available Joey 🤔
0 miles on overhaul but it's sitting there at low idle. That would drive me insane. Don't let her idle like that until she get some miles on her.
It was dyno'd and broke in
