What a shame the plan is suspended at this point... was progressing very nicely with a really imaginative use of space. Lets hope he stays and we see it come to fruition.
I like how you left the two parts where you can pause it to see the full layout at the end. I wish you would include the questionnaire you have the customer fill out like you have in some of your previous videos. It would be nice if you could post that questionnaire somewhere because going through it has helped me get a better idea of what I would like to model. Thanks again for all these great videos.
I don't send out the questionnaire until I've received the down-payment for a design. My competitors would probably love to get hold of that document. I can't stop them from posing as potential customers, but this way at least they will have to pay for it.
What a shame, Peter. That's a really interesting plan, benefitting from good long runs, not being crammed full of track, and having a real variety of features, levels and locations. Let's hope we see it one day.
@@mpeterll , had your channel for awhile now. Just keeping a low profile. But now no other way to contact. I have not asked for a minute but… What is happening with your own personal home line?
@@charitystephens5383 At the moment, I'm so busy with the business that I have no time for my own railroad, and I also have some remodeling to do before I can get that out. One day . . . Very informative video. The biggest obstacle in building a layout is planning. These demonstrations are a nice way to illustrate how to build a bridge between the operator's desires and what is possible in the slotted space! I always enjoy your videos.
I always enjoy your craftsmenship and great ideas. Thanks for sharing! Also, the door and wall at the bottom of the stairs look expendable; if this was my home, I would consider scrapping them and making this a two room project :-)
I had exactly this same discussion with the client and there are several reasons why it has to stay, not least of which is having the majority of his layout behind a lockable door when young family members come to visit.
Suggestion: Prominently indicate the scale of the plan. In this one, I think you mentioned it somewhere in the middle of your narration. Make it part of the video title or plan display.
Using the helix to take up time is a cool idea
Hope it eventually comes to be built - clever design ideas.
I'd like to see it also. There is still a chance he'll stay in this house.
Incredibly thoughtful plan. Once again thank you. I hope it comes into being in some form or another.
The city viaduct scene with the industry tracks down below we be such an eye catcher!

Very cool plan and explanation Peter!

That is a great plan. I hope that the customer can stay in their current house because I would like to see the finished product!
What a great plan, love your videos! Take care.
Superb design Peter
Absolutely loving your videos!

Seeing this come to fruition would be amazing. I have always loved seeing water incorporated into any train layout.

Amazing how much you can squeeze in such a tight space 👍

Typo fail!! Should be: "...winding its way...".
How about "... me Anne during ..." instead? :-)
