You do realize he filed for divorce once he knew the truth ? He is far from protecting her. I think initially he was under the impression this was Jody, he found out the truth, and filed for divorce.
They don’t trust the police, so of course Kevin is saying as little as possible. He trusted his wife, which is usually appropriate in a marriage, and had no reason to be alarmed until the moment the cop described what happened. He was brainwashed by Jodi and Ruby to comply. Now he has to recover this own mind and opinions and completely reorient his parenting. This is how cults work - you don’t have your own opinions, only that of the group … until you leave.
For those who were not aware, CPS were called on Ruby and KEVIN multiple times by viewers of 8 Passengers (way before Connections). Every time they didn’t do anything. Kevin not only enforced his “punishments” but defended Ruby’s to police. Their own older children don’t want him to have custody either. Hold him accountable too!

Kevin was hysterical when his oldest daughter was taking out computers and other electronics from the house. He called police, claiming it all belonged to him -- ((the year long+ absentee father!)) -- I believe he feared what authorities would find on the computers if they accessed them, and was trying to protect himself and Ruby. It's really clear neither parent cared much about the kids. They are both self-absorbed.
The oldest daughter literally got cut off all her contact to her siblings when she didn’t follow the parents dilutions anymore after moving out, you’re absolutely right
The kids' Injuries will heal, the psychological damage will take years to overcome.🤬 Kevin, at best, appears to have been completely whipped and willing "to go along to get along" to the detriment of his children.
He can't be. He called himself the exorcist & let Jody in their home for months when she claimed to be possessed. Then told police how much he trusted & respected Jody. There is a lack of sanity in that.
While I don’t think this guy is 100% innocent, it would take me about two seconds after being shown photos of the injuries to my children to turn completely against a spouse who did that.
That didn't do it. He was still committed to her after seeing the injuries. It was hearing the stories of Adam Paul Steed and others like him and how they were similarly screwed.
after he was told about the shape his kids were in...his next response was "whats going to happen with my wife" and the cops ask him if he condones this abuse...and he says ..."yeah, ok"
A nightmare-father. The policeman reports, almost in tears, about the physical condition of the children. And all he cares about is what happens to his wife.
I noticed that … the police officer even gave him a second round of hearing about what happened and the state of his kids … he wasn’t worried about his kids health at all…
He is obsessed with her. Their religion plays a big role in it, too. I once read a psychological piece which stated that if a husband and child were drowning, the wife would save the child first. With the husband, it normally is the other way around. He would save the wife. This case is a great example of it. I don't believe all men are like that, but Kevin is one of those.
That's not entirely true, he is distressed about the kids as well. He does ask about Ruby (he's still in disbelief), but he is genuinely upset about his kids.
It took 4 hours of waiting for the little girl to feel safe enough to come out of that closet. You KNOW how terrified her mother and jodi made her - - you KNOW she was threatened with and received torutre if she disobeyed. They BROKE THAT CHILD ! Even after hearing that her brother got away and was getting help -- - she sat completely utterly motionless - accept to slowly eat the pizza and drink the water they offered her. I wept for that poor baby while the police were reassuring her & being very kind, patient, & understanding to that poor damaged child. I didn’t realize it was 4 hours, that shows the extent in fear in E. R is a hero!
I know, it's just devastating. And he hair was shaved off 😔. Had R not escaped that day, these kids would not have survived. I absolutely believe that.
I was an avid watcher of their channel back in the day and Eve, the little girl in the closet with her head shaved was abused her whole life. It was all in their content.
I didn't watch the channel but I do want to make the point that there is a fine line between strict and abuse. Sometimes, that line is in the eye of the beholder.

@samanthas8340 I think that it's up to Shari and Chad to figure out their relationship with their father, and judging by Shari's IG account, if she has one, she doesn't celebrate it. She and Chad lean on each other, take care of each other, are best friends. That's the most important
Absolutely not. Kevin was JUST as guilty as ruby was. multiple of his children have confirmed it. Do not let this disgusting man have access to his children. Don’t put them through the same things again
I agree. There was reports of abuse when Kevin was living in the home. And when all of his children were there. I think he was really upset because papers and videos were taken from the home by the oldest daughter. I think he was trying to cover up for his wife. All of those documents should of been turned over to the police. I would NEVER give him custody of the 4 children.. @@arnagoddard7798 100%!! and that last sentence you said is so interesting to me. we don’t have evidence but i genuinely wonder if Ruby ever cheated on Kevin with Jodi. I could be totally wrong but their relationship was just so odd….
When asked if he's aware of the physical condition of his kids, how is his response not, "What do you mean? What's happened to my kids?!" His passivity regarding the well-being of his children, even while sitting in a police station, is mind boggling!
Passivity? You, I suppose, are an expert in human behavior? You sound as bad as Jodi. He didn't think the way YOU think he should? He doesn't seem to have the right behavior that YOU think he should. HE MUST BE PUNISHED!!!???
@@downtonviewer What are you going on about? I didn't say anything about him needing to be punished. And what do you call his behavior if not passive? He did not push for shared custody when he and Ruby separated and accepted that he just didn't have contact with his kids for over a year? Then in this video he's not even asking about what condition they are in when the police tell him they're at the hospital. As a parent , that does not make sense to me. "Passive" is, frankly, a kind description of how he failed his kids. It's clear he's a victim too, and I've never said he needs to be punished for it, but he did need to do better for his children.
I think that the courts are eventually going to give Kevin custody of his children and I don't think that they should. When he found out that his wife was arrested for abusing two of their children and that they were emaciated, covered in wounds, and dehydrated in the hospital he asked about what was going to happen to Ruby instead of asking how his children were doing. He cared more about Ruby going to prison than he cared about his children's health and seeing them again. A parent's number one priority should be their children, not their spouse. Kevin does not deserve his children.
You are absolutely correct. Kevin Franke does not now nor ever did deserve any of his children. He hadn't seen those children in over a year when he KNEW what Jodi was all about. Unbathed, unwashed, smelling to high heaven, chased by shadow spirits while she slept, possessed and operating under the belief that she functioned as one of G-d's special servants.. those are HIS words in describing Jodi. Yet he had no problem with that woman and her undue influence over his wife - who, don't get me wrong was evil to the bone herself in her own right, he had no problem with these two she devils having complete care and control over his children. Nope, this man doesn't ever need to have custody over a plastic houseplant and it's pet rock, never mind over the children, ever again.
I don't know the extent of their family discipline before Jodi showed up, but I would say a few things. One, those children have probably been conditioned to hate their father during that year away from him. No doubt about it. It would be very difficult for them to get back to normal. Two, I doubt the dad has the mental skills since he's such a subservient male to handle raising the remaining children without help, and he's mormon lol, and I would be triple checking that the help with childcare isn't related to 'Connections' and their following or other mormons from their old community, but since he has a very strong connection to his wife (unless things have changed since this interview) then that would be impossible to achieve. The children would be better off with a family far away, hopefully in another state.
I am not taking any sides with this comment. But many many fathers do not see or talk to their kids in months or years. Kevin is not the only father to do that. Everyone wants to blame him for that and put him in jail for that. When they don't realize it's happening all over the country.
@@-greentoad No one is saying those many fathers are not lousy people either. Not only did Kevin abandon his children, when he was around he was Ruby's biggest cheerleader even when she was dishing out cruel punishments. And then when he is told about the condition one of his children is found in, instead of asking about his wellbeing or that of the other children he only shows concern for his nutty wife and says how he loves her. He is certainly complicit.
I feel like it might be years before they are able to do that. At the moment they still have to work on un-doing all the brainwashing. I hope they will be able to. But given that all the extended family is LDS, I don't know how much of a chance they have.
I'm sure the older kids will be able to testify against them regarding what they endured and what they witnessed. Honestly, the local CPS office should be investigated because they along with law enforcement failed these kids. This isn't the first time Ruby and Kevin have been accused of abuse.
He should be in jail. He hadn’t talked or seen his kids in 13 months! Silence is compliance. He knew how Ruby was. Even in their videos, they were both abusive to those kids.
You don't go to jail because you haven't talked to or seen your kids in a year. As far as his abuse on 8 passengers, and especially letting it happen, I doubt he will get arrested for that. Even Ruby wasn't. Her arrest was for what she did in July and August 2023. Nothing from her 8 passenger videos

He took part with the mental and emotional abuse when they were filming the 8 passengers videos. What they showed was eyebrow raising, think of what was not uploaded. He was panicked to get what his daughter took back. He wants the kids before they talk.
Ruby was ALWAYS controlling her kids with food. It's not an idea that Jodi put in her head, that's for sure. Jodi took it to a stage of -how about not giving them any food or drink at all?! Isn't THAT a great idea Ruby? And Ruby went..HIGH FIVE! I am SURE they were planning on letting those kids die from starvation and dehydration in a horrific state of pain. That is my opinion.
They didn’t starve when he was around. They missed meals. It was absolutely wrong, but comparing that to what happened once Jodi got him out of the picture is disingenuous at best.
I have no doubt that he was a victim of narcissist abuse from both RF and JH, but remember that he was co-parenting through the abuse that happened BEFORE JH that they recorded and shared with the world. I applaud his adult children for their forgiveness, but those young children have zero obligation to a man who refused to advocate and protect them. He was a coward. Remember in that first video he never once asks about his children's injuries. At no point has he stood up and said, "By my cowardice and neglect, I helped cause this. I am responsible, too, and I am sorry." Once he says THAT out loud somewhere, maybe I will believe him.
I agree with all you said. I do believe he says something to the tune of "I feel like this is my fault" in the interview, but it feels like he's implying he's at fault for not being there to support Ruby well enough.
There have been SO MANY cases of mothers being put in prison, not for directly abusing their children, but for being negligent and allowing the other parent or another person harm their children. Why is Kevin so different? He didn't legally sign away his rights to his children, so it doesn't matter how far away he was from them, or how long he didn't see them, he had a parental DUTY to look out for their safety and best interests and failed them at every turn. Imagine if the roles were reversed and it was Kevin kicking, starving, and binding the children while Ruby was told to just leave the house. Are we seriously going to act like everybody in the DAs office wouldn't be banging down Ruby's door to charge her and say "Where was your motherly instinct? You didn't wonder about your children? You didn't do everything in your power to do a check on them?" They 100% would. I understand that DAs have to abide by procedure, legal precedent, and evidence when they charge people with crimes, but man, I feel so terrible for these kids. Because without their father being held liable for the ways in which he aided in their abuse, they're not fully getting the justice they deserve.
He didn’t see his kids for a year supposedly. She kept them from him. So how is this his fault. The only thing he did wrong was not trying harder to see his kids. But with a woman like that I don’t see how he would even be able to
Let’s not forget how these kids were on the verge of death! This could have *easily* been a homicide case and should have been treated by the prosecution with the same severity
@@AnnRamiez There is no "keeping your kids" from someone. He was still their legal parent and he had a DUTY to know where they were and how they were doing, especially as someone who claims to have felt like Jodi was a dangerous influence on his wife and children. All it would've taken was one phone call from him to the police saying "Hello, my wife is keeping our children from me. No we are not legally separated, no there is no custody order in place" and they would've PERSONALLY ESCORTED him to where his children were. These kids could've DIED and he was supposed to be one of the two people in those kids lives who had their life and well-being at the forefront of his mind all times. He was negligent and allowed his children to face starvation, beatings, and life-threatening injuries because of his terrible inaction. When you have children, you make a promise that you will protect them from anything that befalls them, EVEN your spouse should it ever come to that, and he didn't. He should feel guilt every second of his life for allowing his children that he is equally LEGALLY responsible for, to face that kind of abuse. And you should feel terrible for excusing it.

Unfortunately, this is common in fundamentalist families. Physical, emotional, and mental abuse is minimized and often downgraded as discipline. Their whole family is like this. The thing I think is odd is that Ruby said she left at 3am for one of her middle daughter's dentist appointment on the morning she was arrested. But then the two middle girls were at Pam's and the story seemed to be that the girls had been there all day. I am confused.

KF not seeing his kids, especially having little ones, in over a year is unacceptable. What happened to R & E is enough trauma to last them a lifetime. I don’t know if he was physically abusive. He was definitely complicit in withholding food, taking away a child’s bed, obviously they whipped their kids with a belt (since ruby did that and he said he wouldn’t answer about discipline). "It seems rather quick because it's not genuine," she realizes that if she wants to get parole in four years, she needs to change her attitude. Moreover, her husband had to file for a divorce as he wants the custody of their children. Since he was still legally married to her when she went to jail, it may cause a problem in getting back the children. These people are smart and realize what they need to do to help themselves. Monster's mom didn't plead guilty because she had any remorse, she wanted a lesser sentence. The husband's unconditional support for his wife is alarming. Given his previous stance on discipline, he shouldn't have custody of them either.
Anyone remember the lawyer who was representing Kevin Franke, making appearances on his behalf, saying how Kevin was working with his oldest daughter to reconcile, and working to get the kids back? How sad for the children to have to choose between their lying father, or no parent at all. Where was Kevin the year he was absent from his kids lives? What was he doing with his time? How far away did he live? Why did he "accept" being cut off from his kids? The questions will never be resolved because he will never ever be prosecuted.
Kevin is the classic victim of a female Malignant Narcissist. She calls ALL the shots & he does everything she asks - but gets nothing in return. Yet after a year of not seeing her or his kids, he's STILL under her witchy "spell" and only cares about what happens to her!
Ruby emptied their bank accounts a few days before she got arrested. Stole like $85,000 which was found with Ruby in cash when she got arrested. This was mentioned at the end of Kevin's second police interview if you want to watch it for yourself

Grooming manipulates individuals FROM independent thought TO "group think". Kevin sought praise, but in the end was ridiculed and shunned from his wife, children, and Connexions. In his 1st interview he was answering in very vague general manners...very confusing to anyone listening. Then it seems, he becomes more comfortable or "safe" in later interviews where he becomes transparent with law enforcement detectives. Always think about: - what was his understanding of Jody's concept? He just couldn't be naive! - Listen to the first calls he said: "Ruby, I want to be a resource for you, you are a source of truth" He didn't ask for his kids at all and didnt' make her any accusations! This saif EVERYTHING! He just moved away, in case this would come out - or the kids would talk. He was a cautious professor in that. And he got away with this, so far!
A passer by or a teacher would be required to report abuse if it was observed, so how is it that Kevin has zero responsibility ... he's a PARENT. A parent of 6 children, each individually abused on multiple occasions as a lifestyle that he profited from. The decision not to pursue charges is absolutely outrageous imo. The evidence is there on video.
I wonder if the divorce is a necessary strategy for Kevin to get custody of the kids, regardless of his long-term hopes for his relationship with Ruby.
If this is the case, he will be waiting at least 8 more years to get back with her if he gets the children, and she is also released. She will not be able to live with anyone with children under 18yrs old, nor be unsupervised with them.

There's no way the women didn't cause those wounds!// WHY isn't anyone talking about Jodi living at the Franke house, and being "possessed"? Kevin claims he personally saw plates flying across the room; lights flickering; things floating in the air; he saw Jodi "possessed", to the point Ruby had to start sleeping in Jodi's bed to help her through her ""possessions". Why would Kevin leave the home, and abandon his kids to a demonically possessed woman? He just (in his words) wanted to "move on". Let's hear about that. Why aren't authorities indicting her husband and charging him with child neglect; abandonment; endangering their welfare? He's guilty of pretending not to know. He knew! We know his oldest daughter told him what was happening. SHE CALLED AUTHORITIES!! and reported the abuse. Why isn't anyone calling out law enforcement, for not following up on the previous abuse allegations? Did any officer of the court, ever ask where Mr. Franke was when they investigated, after the oldest daughter reported Ruby & Jodi? Why didn't law enforcement ask about Kevin Frranke, for ONE YEAR? Where was dear old Kevin Franke, during the months of abuse? Charge him too!
@@rejanedesevigne It bothers me to the Nth degree, that he sat calmly and interviewed how Jodi lived at his house and was ""possessed"" and he personally saw the evidence. He lets what he believes to be is a possessed demon, force him out of his house, the demon sleeps in the same bed as his wife, prevent him from participating with his kids in any way, and doesn't see them for a year. Do most people abandon their family to a possessed entity and just shrug up their shoulders & walk away?
@VABmo Absolutely not! The way he is acting now is like the hero to step in and save and protect his children. I got the impression he was trying to get the money from Jodis sale of her home to get his kids much needed counseling, but he's in it for the money. If he was really such a great father, he should have taken his kids with him when Jodi moved into his house. I hadn't heard about her being possessed, but it seems very likely. If that's the case, his wife was most definitely possessed!! I believe Jodis niece. She said she thought something more then mentor, business partner or whatever was going on between those two.
I think that Kevin was sent away to earn some big bucks for their desert complex..... And I believe he was more than willing to make that "sacrifice "...(selfish interests)...😮
It's not hard to fathom why he would do a "180" in 2 weeks. His wife was charged with heinous crimes. That is an "ice cold water in the face" kind of wake up call that would take a very short time to change one's loyalties.
I saw Kevin's interview with the police, not emotion when he was informed his children were abused!! He was more concerned about Ruby!! Horrid father!!

And what astonishes me is that they are the biological kids of both of them. No step-parenting involved.
He was worry about what is going to happen to Ruby, not the kids. I hope he does not win the kids back.

Hes just whining @ himself

Kevin not only enforced his “punishments” but defended Ruby’s to police. Their own older children don’t want him to have custody either. Hold him accountable too!

Tried to get her freaking arrested for coming to get HER OWN ITEMS FROM THE HOME
I don’t believe that Kevin is 100% innocent in this.
He can't be. He called himself the exorcist & let Jody in their home for months when she claimed to be possessed. Then told police how much he trusted & respected Jody.
There is a lack of sanity in that.

He is. 100% committed to her and will always be manipulated by her, even in the future. He didn’t check on his kids for 14 months, no questions asked!
I noticed that … the police officer even gave him a second round of hearing about what happened and the state of his kids … he wasn’t worried about his kids health at all…
right?? no follow-up questions?? not even a "how are they doing now? are they recovering?"
Its in his best interest to keep Ruby on his side. If she turns on him, she’ll dish on him. They’re both repulsive.
That's not entirely true, he is distressed about the kids as well. He does ask about Ruby (he's still in disbelief), but he is genuinely upset about his kids.

Then in this video he's not even asking about what condition they are in when the police tell him they're at the hospital. As a parent , that does not make sense to me. 100%!! I didn’t even think of that. I’d be baffled by that question.
“Excuse me what? Are they ok?” Etc
My left butt cheek had mourned what happened to the kids more than he seems to have.
Bingo! This was WILD to hear.
Yes. Every bit of what you said. Yes.

I feel like it might be years before they are able to do that. At the moment they still have to work on un-doing all the brainwashing. I hope they will be able to. But given that all the extended family is LDS, I don't know how much of a chance they have.

A college professor and he doesn’t know what emaciated means .?.

Unfortunately, this is common in fundamentalist families. Physical, emotional, and mental abuse is minimized and often downgraded as discipline. Their whole family is like this. One of them was employed and was picked up and I understood that the other was at Ace??? But Ruby had taken her to the dental appointment, so how did she end up at Pam’s?? And then Ruby texted Kevin and told him he needed to “ Get down here and pick up the kids???” Did Ruby take the one daughter to Pam’s? Is that why she apologized to Pam in her sentencing statement?
Exactly. They need to take that woman down, she knows Jodi's evil and lied for her etc.
Keep the kids away from Kevin. He is just as dangerous.
Maybe he doesn't torture them, but he's definitely neglectful
A year of no contact with his children and no effort to get visitations says it all about this coward.
Given the opportunity, he & Ruby would be right back online making videos about what great parents they are. If they could get the kids, they would put them back online as well.
KF not seeing his kids, especially having little ones, in over a year is unacceptable. What happened to R & E is enough trauma to last them a lifetime. They have been through unthinkable levels of coercive persuasion, thought control, thought reform, manipulation, neglect, isolation & way beyond anything close to normal treatment, but I feel they will overcome what's been inflicted on their innocent souls. I have high hopes & 100% believe that with the help of their loving siblings by their sides, they will be back to living a happy childhood. Sweet kiddos were betrayed by the person who birth them. 😢
The 2 monsters won't ever get out of jail imo!!
not too sure if the siblings are all that healthy--oldest son was also a client of jody's and the two middle girls were farmed out to Pam--
Kevin is guilty and conveniently moved out of the house to make himself look innocent. He was prepared to isolate himself from his children - disgusting! He should have protected them!
No, this is all about the coercive control that all cults have over their members. You don’t have your own thoughts, you are conditioned to accept what the group tells you. They were raised LDS, so obedience was the norm for them. Then Ruby had control over Kevin, justified all her actions and Jodi reinforced & intensified all that with her crazy ideas. Already a few weeks after Ruby’s arrest, Kevin was coming out of the fog and asking himself what do I really believe. He is questioning everything he ever knew at this point. I hope he will recover and make amends with his kids, even without custody.
@@FlaNative3 I understand the "culture" of cults, but he suddenly saw the "light" and that is no excuse. He should go to prison as the "fog" cleared for him after only 2 weeks of Ruby's arrest? He is just as bad as Ruby.
A very very weak man
Feel guilty for using pornography
I’m sure he has more than one addiction
A child abuser
@@lizadivine3785 I doubt he has any addictions. This is Jodi's MO. She convinced couples that the husband had a corn addiction even if corn was watched ONCE or if a man looked at another woman or requested his wife to wear lingerie or had a higher libido, etc. She has destroyed many marriages and men's lives.
It’s his legal responsibility to ensure his children are cared for. He is guilty of child neglect too.
I wonder who else Jodie had in that "safe".
I wonder if Jodi ever "punished" Ruby???
I bet!!
Well didn't he torture a family member? This isn't the first time she's tortured somebody
@@victoriaroot5724Yes, she tortured her niece, Jessie. But afaik she didn't live in this house back then. She locked Jessie in a room in her old house.
I don’t know about anyone else but if you bring me to a police station and start asking me questions about my kids I’m gonna loose my mind and demand to know if my kids are ok first and foremost!! He knew something because he was way too in control of his self to not know. I mean I’d be telling them call the hospital on speaker phone get somebody on the line to let me know before anything else is said!!!
yes maybe they had an accident or something. Even though we now know that it was Ruby who sent him to the police station to "pick up the kids". She knew they were taken away in ambulances and were going to the hospital and they would not be at the police station.
He was aware of the abuse when Ruby was still in the house and making videos that he was in. He never checked on the welfare of the 2 children with Ruby or the 2 children with Pam, who lied just like Melanie Gibb.
At the very least Kevin Franke is a absentee father.
Don't allow him custody of any of his children because he is just as bad if not worse.
He's negligent and it's clear that his priorities go Kevin > Ruby >>>>>>>>>>>> and _then_ the kids, maybe?
What a looser of a father….please DONT let him have the kids..all the parenting rights need to be taken away from him.
If he gets the kids they again will be subjected to abuse by the people who are part of this cult.
I don’t know if he was physically abusive. He was definitely complicit in withholding food, taking away a child’s bed, obviously they whipped their kids with a belt (since ruby did that and he said he wouldn’t answer about discipline). So he definitely is guilty of emotional abuse. He also needs to learn how to parent in a trauma informed way. No physical punishment, positive reinforcement, etc. I don’t think he’s a lost cause but it’s obvious why he didn’t get custody.
Withholding food IS physical abuse!
Liar, liar pants on fire. Kevin played a role earlier on in 8 passangers
They should've let a jury have at 'em. They didn't even need the kids to testify.
Who cares: he's a disconnected dad who didn't care enough to care for his poor tortured children. He is not capable of being an effective father, and should not be injected into the kids' recovery and care: he abandoned them, essentially.
Wow you sound bitter
@@DamageControlLLCWow. Why are you on this comment section. By your standards, everyone on here is bitter. Being disgusted by an abusive, neglectful father makes you bitter? I wonder how your children live?
He is absolutely not a person to be involved in the kids' healing. He was too enmeshed in the abuse and too much a defender of Ruby to be trusted to validate these children.
When he talked to Ruby via jail phone, he said he would do his best to keep raising the children with "truth" That statement was absolutely chilling.
This is not a man who loves his kids!!! Face it, he has not seen his kids in over a year.!!!! You'd think he would be jumping up and down with joy over being reunited with his kids. Where are they? How are they? I cant wait to hug them see them! NOTHING!!! Also , i want to hear that call from Ruby about picking up the kids. Was his response ecstatic, I finally get to see them?!?!?!!!!! But also, why are you letting me see them now?!!!!!!
Something is not right!!!! He's hiding something or lying.
The way he asked whats going to happen to my wife I love my wife, not the same for the kids!
Why did this father wait 1 year to see his children knowing what a danger this woman was?
He should be in jail!!
The worst part of this is that this temple’s members who likely have similar behavior to Ruby and Jodi have been hidden in the shadows during this investigation and will certainly continue to produce more monsters with their cult
He should be charged with child neglect and abandonment.
He has no spine & abandoned his kids!
Kevin is the classic victim of a female Malignant Narcissist. She calls ALL the shots & he does everything she asks - but gets nothing in return. Yet after a year of not seeing her or his kids, he's STILL under her witchy "spell" and only cares about what happens to her!
YESSSS!!!!!!!
It happens!

They made money by earning goods grades. That money was saved for them. Where's their money at Ruby and Kevin?!?!?!!!!!
Ruby emptied their bank accounts a few days before she got arrested. Stole like $85,000 which was found with Ruby in cash when she got arrested. This was mentioned at the end of Kevin's second police interview if you want to watch it for yourself
I've watched everything to date and used to be subscribed to their channel for year's. This case hits different for me. They both still have an "obligation" to pay them back!
I wonder if she was going to run with that money? @@lavacake9284

@@jessicakeeney2343, 5his isn’t about you, it’s about how this effected those children!
It sounds as if Kevin was "groomed into the cult of ConneXions"...and the grooming included praising or emasculating men for being who they are. Hopefully Utah law enforcement is investigating other families involved in ConneXions to assure the safety of more children.
He didn't call Jodi "truthful and beautiful," he called her "honest and truthful."
Yes! I've heard so many people say beautiful and I can't understand how they heard that. He 100% said truthful
Always think about:
- what was his understanding of Jody's concept? He just couldn't be naive!
- Listen to the first calls he said: "Ruby, I want to be a resource for you, you are a source of truth" He didn't ask for his kids at all and didnt' make her any accusations!
This saif EVERYTHING!
He just moved away, in case this would come out - or the kids would talk. He was a cautious professor in that. And he got away with this, so far!
@@Pianda A college professor who doesn't know what emaciated means...duh A father who doesn't check on his children for a year/??? He is culpable!!!!
Standing aside and not intervening in documented abuse makes you complicit.
How is there no evidence of wrongdoing? He didn't see his kid sleeping on the floor of the living room for months?
Cmon
No, that was Kevin coming out of the fog of a lifetime of coercive control from the LDS and his wife. He is now questioning everything he ever knew. I hope he recovers someday and is able to make amends to his children. You only have one father and mother and you want a relationship with them even if it is not perfect. Especially as the kids reach adulthood (the younger ones) and are not under the parent’s power and get to choose if they will still be in relationship.
I totally agree.
@@FlaNative3 as someone coming from a cult like religion of control, it’s a mind F when you realize a religious organization should NOT have that power and control over you. I’ve been gone 10yrs now and in many ways I am still trying to rewire my thinking.

I don't know. If i seen evidence of abuse on my children with my own eyes......i could change my mind in a second
That long?
"I love my wife, I trust her. What is going to happen to her?"
Not a word about his kids ..
I think it’s very telling that when R escaped to the neighbor’s house, he did not ask to call his dad, but wanted to go to the police, WHO HE HAD BEEN CONDITIONED NOT TO TRUST! That says so much!
His look of shock could not be more fake. He should be behind bars.
As a life coach, I tell my clients, and recommend to everyone, to never take advice from anyone calling themselves a "life coach..."
Then why are you even a Life Coach if you want no one taking your advice ? I’d pick a new profession, or become a licensed therapist with a degree to back your name.

He was brainwashed to comply by Ruby, Jodi and the LDS church. He is now questioning everything he ever knew. Also, it takes time to put a case together - authorities have to have clear evidence. RN all the evidence is about Ruby/Jodi. We’ll see what happens …
He cannot have custody of these poor children!!!
As a father, he should be weeping, not stoic, as he was
4:22 DID U HEAR THAT?? You don't separate from your children, just your wife. He should have been fighting for his kids, TO HAVE THEM, Even just part time , they could have told him what was going on.
People keep forgetting that this man abandoned his kids to an abusive woman comma i'm so glad you keep covering the continued progress of his sight of the case
He showed no concern or shock..
Ruby AND Kevin were abusing their kids and had complaints made against them long before Connectìons and Jodi came along ! Easy reason for Ruby to excuse her behaviour !
He never asked if the kids were okay!
Because he didn’t trust the police and it was only minutes into the interview. He had no idea what they were about to reveal. He is now questioning everything he ever knew for his entire life.
The photos of the little boy R's, wounds - showed they had been treated with saran wrap and duct tape. They kept him in a secret room with what looked like a hospital bed, oxygen, a toilet - he never left that room. They had him imprisoned in a cell.
@VABmo Totally agree 👍 💯
Seeing pictures of the kids’ injuries may have helped to shock him out of the fog
He’s just as bad as her! I truly hope they don’t give him custody of the younger kids!
I heard someone say that Jodi didn't "force" Ruby to abuse her children, she gave her permission....
I saw Kevin's interview with the police, not emotion when he was informed his children were abused!! He was more concerned about Ruby!! Horrid father!!
Don't let this guy near his kids! He's not a father, he's an abuser.
