Do the X's envelopes affect the samples, or do they play independently? How do the X's digital oscillators sound compared to Sequential's VCOs or DCOs?
A brilliant, straightforward demonstration on how to multisample a synth. I had never heard of Samplerobot prior to this video. But I'll be getting it ASAP for my studio. I'll probably use it with a vst sampler, as I don't think that my Triton Rack would be up to playing decent quality samples created with it, even though it has been fully expanded to the full 96MB of ram.
I've been using samplerobot for 2 months and am totally obsessed. Everything is so easy. Even my Korg S3 drum machine is now in the DAW. Even my monosynth GRP A2 can now be played polyphonically. Great tool. My next project is the Original Korg DSS Library.
We are considering adding the Korg DSS-1 sample format to SampleRobot as well. It's such a great sampler especially with the Straylight modification installed.

Nice. I was wondering if you couldn't have set a fade out for the samples? I use different software and tools for doing similar work and even when samples have a natural decay, I'd rather make sure that the noise floor dissolves out because you could end up with a slight pop if the noise floor from the original equipment is high enough or if there's still some slight sustain of the voice at the tail end. I'd also recommend to folks to make a couple of sample recordings, an additional one with more layers and more multi-samples in case you needed it in the future for particular sample software, you'd have it and you wouldn't have to go through the process again or you may not still have the synth. Great stuff!
Sure, I tried this in various ways during those days with the program.
