Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

    What's worked for me and many others has been low-carb, intermittent fasting, and regular exercise. Cured my metabolic syndrome and obesity in 12 months. It is very simple to understand and follow, too.

      Your method is more realistic.I do intermittent but I try to go as long as possible before breaking fast.Which I do with a few nuts, almonds, walnuts.Then I try to go until 6 or 7pm and have a bigger meal.I'm going without bread too.Plenty of water.All the best !

      She’s a scientist, smarter than a dr, drs have minimal education in nutrition (intentionally), they don’t want drs telling us what to eat to heal our bodies, their trained to promote pharmaceutical drugs that only treat symptoms and diseases thus making you a customer for life to these companies.

    My wife's grandparents had the saying: "After dinner, rest a while. After supper, walk a mile". (They were farmers and called the midday meal "dinner". They were active everyday due to their lifestyle: example. . . They feed their animals before their own breakfast.)

Ever since I started learning how my body works, I have more energy and peace of mind. No more anxiety, no more pain killers, much less carbs and sugars and useless snacking, much more exercise, much more intermittent fasting. And the pounds are falling off.     Jessie is a rock star in my book! This information is very helpful. Suddenly things are making sense to me about how I can get a handle on my high blood sugar. I have had much improved fasting blood glucose readings since following her suggestions. And it is wonderful to know that I can bring back oatmeal, rice and pasta into my diet as long as I put clothes on them, have some vinegar water before the meal and walk or exercise for ten minutes after the meal. Thank you, Jessie and Dhru!!!

      Look into Dr. Barry Sears and his Zone Diet. He was sharing this information almost 30 years ago, and I'd argue it is even better.

      Who in the world eats JUST pasta without veggies or meat in it??Very rare. Who the heck eats cereal without milk or yogurt? I just dont get it, seriuosly ! she says normal things that we have been doing for ages, what is NEW? Please someone explain to me!

      @@urbanbeach5535 Look up "Barry Sears Zone Diet." His program came out in 1995 and is still better than what everyone else produces off the same concepts. It takes a bit more thought, but not too much. Q key add on is The Root Cause Protocol -- avoid the iron filings like it was a Biblical plague (it is -- Daniel 2:43-44).

    I enjoyed this presentation and learned a lot from the “Glucose Goddess!” Helpful to know the best order for eating our meals: vegetables first, protein second, and starches last. Then a short exercise or movement for a few minutes. Will also start adding apple cider vinegar to my water before each meal. Great information and takeaways!!!

    Vinegar.. THAT is why salads with a meal is important in many European countries.
    I eat salad along with my legal, not before like many restaurants push. The Italian restaurants I go to serve the salad when they serve the meal. Not before.
    I use ACV for heartburn too. With honey. And a few ounces of water.
    I don't get heartburn very much , but it works each time.
    Have a friend been on Prilosec for years, he visited me one day , had heartburn and didn't have any, so I gave him this,, he didn't get heartburn again for a couple days.. so he did it again.
    After a month, his heartburn was only mild and not daily. Told his doc, doc got mad. And said vinegar would hurt him long-term.
    He died a year later from complications of Prilosec. He had been taking it about 6 years before I gave him the vinegar. He never used Prilosec again. His stomache acid pumps kept pumping because the Prilosec made his body think it had not enough. So his esophagus got burned out.
    Overv the last year it was healing, but was extensive..
    Prilosec indicates to take daily to prevent heartburn.. most only have it a couple times a week, meal related. Or fluids related. Sets it off. So to take prilosec EVERYDAY , is harmful. Even in as little as 3 months.
    Same goes for anti anxiety meds and other symptoms that are NOT DAILY, as what they call "anxiety", is just FLIGHT OR FIGHT that does not auto shut off one a threat is evaluated and you run or stand your ground. That threat can be simple as a thought You had. Real or imagined threat.
    Bio feedback can teach you how to shut it off manually. Meditation. Laying down and taking a quick sleep. Reset it.
    But they give you meds instead of treating the cause.
    No surprise.
    A 4 yr old with "add" sometimes just needs a good smack to snap out of it. But no. That abusive , like putting foreign substance for a lifetime causing a gateway to drug use IS NOT?
    BEHAVIORAL MANAGEMENT.
    that is what parents are supposed to be.
    In Scotland, Ireland, Vikings too, kids, boys.. played.. "beating the crap out of each other" besties, ringing each other out..
    Then THEY called discipline abuse.
    I just trained a 13 yr old dog to stop peeing in the house.. with discipline.. MY discipline. I disciplined myself to get him outside every hour or when he looked like he was about to go. It took five days. And now, a dog that would pee all over twenty times a day, hasn't gone inside in three months, and when he did, he went in the cat box I leave set up. Which he knows is there, but only if I'm sleeping ,will he use it.
    But that's MY DISIPLINE. SAME GOES FOR KIDS.
    DONT GO FOR THE MEDS, GET DISIPLINED.

    I was just going to drink my smoothie and watch this utube. I went and grabbed my tall glass of water with TBSP of apple cider vinegar. I drink it first thing in the morning but never tried it before meals. Thank you!

      I used to be a diabetic, I had diabetes..
      Diabetes all GONE.
      You can loose your diabetes too..
      Google Dr.Ken Berry on UA-cam. I had diabetes for 15 yrs. Thank God it is GONE 4 YRS NOW...
      I WOULD help people with diabetes, but most people I know who has it, want to keep managing it and keep it..they keep listening to QUACK doctors.. really sad..
      People won't try anything..
      Very sad people...A friend is wearing thin on my mind lately,, he is 530lbs,,
      Pre diabetic, but this really is diabetes actually..
      Eat above grd veggies and
      Rotisserie Chicken or baked chicken with the skin.
      Pinto beans, cold RAW ROLLED oats.,
      Raw unsalted nuts with no oils.
      Eat NO OILS AT ALL OF ANY KIND.
      Have some butter.
      Use spices. Make soups with veggies too, add chicken to pot.
      Eat two mandarin cuties with rolled oats at mid morning meal..
      Hot plain tea.
      Hot plain black coffee.
      Cut all dairy..
      Except for a very small amount of butter in soups..
      This is what I did to loose diabetes and hiked 4 miles two to three times in a 7 day week..
      Drink lots of water.
      Hot lemon water,
      Tbl ACV Apple Cider vinegar in Morning.
      Think fresh
      Think natural
      Think plant based.
      Now I have been Strict Carnivore for one yr.
      From January 2023 I have been super strict Carnivore now..
      I did intermittent fasting for 4 yrs. Did extended water fasting too.
      Now I do 5 & 7 days of water fasting..
      I had to work up to where I am at now in my journey of FEASTING & FASTING..
      Fasting coach is the man, his name is RAYMOND NAZON on UA-cam, look him up, contact him & he can coach you..
      But eat clean for 4 months,
      NO FAST FOODS.
      NOTHING WITH A BAR CODE, NO PROCESSED FOODS AT ALL..

    Dr Jason Fung also recommended Vinegar.
    The Japanese have been adding vinegar into their rice and turned the rice into sushi rice. They obviously know that vinegar is the needed super ingredient best for our consumption with carbohydrate rice 🍚

    I just want to take a minute to say that Jessie is completely correct on these hacks! I started fasting OMAD after losing the weight I needed to lose on keto for two years. I wanted to implement carbs back into my diet because I was so small. So just to maintain my weight so I started berberine 30 minutes before my OMAD. Then I have 😊a big salad with nuts and seeds, chili peppers, cottage cheese, avocado, followed with a protein and veggie such as salmon and broccoli or steak and asparagus , etc. then I eat whatever the heck I want for dessert and I’m not kidding! I have a doughnut or cake and ice cream. I don’t deny myself anything at all and I’ve lost more weight eating this way than I ever did on keto and I’m so much happier 😊 I can eat like this forever! I’m small so I should probably broaden my eating window but I’m working on that. Either way I’d rather be small and have to work on gaining weight then to have the worries of losing weight which I’ve done my whole life! She is a GODSEND 🎉I promise this works!

      To me, you just actually described keto. Keto isn't NO carbs. You just described a very low carb diet. It's the people who want the cake, ice cream and whatnot, after eating bread or pasta or both. I used to eat barely anything b4 I learned about healthy keto and nutrition via Dr. Berg. I would eat no breakfast, a small side salad for lunch, and pasta loaded in butter and cheese for dinner. I jogged for 20 minutes each morning. I was able to mantain my 102lb weight but if I went over like having a beer or two with friends on Friday, I'd gain. I now weigh much more than 102lbs due to stress event. Stress/cortisol also keeps us fat. But, I have no intention of getting down to a size 3/4 again. lol

    I first learned about "eating fruit first or eating fruit alone" from the book "Fit for Life" by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond that came out about 30 years ago or so. I was influenced by their approach as they made some convincing arguments about fruit. They also advocated not to eat carbs with protein. So, steak with a baked potato was a "no-no." Steak with a salad was AOK. A baked potato with a salad was AOK. They even had some strategies for fruit itself, such as, "Eat melon alone or leave it alone." By this they meant that melon did not combine well with other fruits. I think their book is still available and it may have even been updated.

      Never eat carbs with fats. Eat carbs with a healthy dose of fiber. Eat fats and proteins on their own, no carbs. This will prevent plaque build-up in blood vessels.

      It hasbeen updated.This way of eating is good.You do go through detox.After that period you feel good.Detox=headache,tiredness etc.

    This helps explain why cultures that eat a lot of starches (aka rice and pasta) don't have a lot of health and/or weight issues since they eat them with lots of proteins, fats and fermented foods. I've been trying to add fermented foods to my diet daily. Will start using the teaspoon of vinegar hack.

      Absolutely agreed - I had reversed my T2D after only 5 weeks of IF 16/8 and elimination of junk food and processed carbs - all of my blood results were significantly improved my doctor could not believe the results

      @@porkpie2884 - everyone who fasts literally eats breakfast. It's the meal you break your fast with. That's why they call it breakfast. And if you mean the morning meal, people who break their fast can do it at any time of day including the morning.
      There is good support for the old adage "eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper." If your body is full of food to digest all night long, it will be diverting energy away from healing and restoration in order to deal with the digestion of the food.

    Jessie. Bravo for all your work, for your amazing honest with an unbiased deepness coming from a scientific/intuitive mind - and your amazing ability to bring it over. I did the same journey but starting in the 80's with first the Dr. Hay cost - and I had still A2 milk and grass-fed meat growing up. You both are an amazing team in pointing out things I wished more often mentioned. We need to integrate and relate! to new findings with the changes we made since the last 50 years, like: we can eat everything all around the year. We don't eat dried fruits anymore nor sauerkraut. We eat all day. We eat not the same quality but quantity. That all has to be digested by the same digestive system which didn't adjust to all this. Such great points you both make - like with the Ayurvedic idea Dhjru mentions, and like it is with many other healing ideas. Also I found an important point I make: In the old days whatever we ate - we also worked it off maybe even fully (as I saw in my Grandparents) Farmers working hard and everybody else 'using' up much more calories in a n healthy 'constant' way. That in itself is a huge point. We need to start to think about and integrate foundational entities before we put something new out. This here is the the holistic way with so many underlaying educational ideas as well - a flow-state of finding the depth even and because of the science. Thank you you both. You are digging beautifully!

    I told myself I didn’t have time to listen to this because it was too long, but oh hot dam!!! Sooooo glad I listened!! I’ve never heard of Jessie before this and fell in love!     People need to be careful because apple cider vinegar can lower your blood pressure which is a good thing if you have high blood pressure but if not you’re gonna feel super tired and dizzy too.

    45:20 brown and white rice both have almost exactly the same sugar spike. Add spinach, fish, eggs, butter, Olive oil, sea salt, spices etc ____ so you're not just eating something that spikes your blood sugar..
    Put avocado on your TOAST, to lower blood sugar.
    Start with a salad that has protein vegetables and olive oil, that helps.
    Have the sugar spiking rice last.
    That's another way that helps.

    I started “clothing” my carbs when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. One of the main ideas with GD diet is to eat fats or protein with carbs to help stabilize the glucose spike that you want to avoid when you have GD (or really any time). I’m now officially below my pre-pregnancy weight from my first, and I was able to avoid GD with my second by continuing these habits even when I wasn’t pregnant. I’ll continue to eat this way because it does make me feel better without having to take out carbs entirely (with small children, it’s really hard to do that). (Also, I love carbs so I don’t want to completely eliminate them). ACV is also an amazing tool to help with my GERD while trying to reduce/eliminate my need for the PPI inhibitors I have been on for several years now. Great stuff, great listen!

    This lady offers so much hope to people who still love their sweets and cannot give them up. Being on a healthy keto plan I was able to give up sugar completely, because on keto, if you're doing it right, you lose the cravings for sugar almost completely. There are times I do crave something luscious like vanilla ice cream with caramel and chocolate sauce, but those cravings don't happen very often and when they do they quickly go away. With the information this gal gives, I'm learning that I can have ice cream and caramel/chocolate on rare occasions, and when I do I can still control my glucose levels. Thank you so much. I love listening to this woman.

      If you crave sweets but really dont want them try eating butter, its a carnivore diet trick and it really works for me, the craving disappears, i was a chocoholic, it was my kryptonite but i havent had any for over a month.

      Actually Dhru's ads aren't bad compared to others I listen to. I often listen at work. Or even at home while doing household chores. So I can listen but can't get to my phone quickly to hit 'skip ads.'
      So I end up listening to ads for minutes on end before I can stop what I am doing and get back to the podcast.😔😨
      With Dhru's, they are at least over quickly and back to content. 👍

    when I was growing up this info was actually common knowledge. but society claimed it was just nonsense and "not based on science", when in reality it was scientific based upon generations of crowd sourcing through the centuries, and the "science" hadn't yet been done often times. And when the science finally caught up, it was right all along.
