The great part about being a Adv motorcyclist in Australia is that no matter what state you live in the best trails are right on the door step! it's possible to do a complete lap of Aus without leaving the dirt. Darryl Beatie dose a good Supported ride thru the Simpson if you are not quite set up yourself. Top video and awesome camera work!
Just fantastic guys! Watched it from Newtown, Sydney. Really inspiring, puts things into perspective, bikes, money, life. What a beautiful country we have - proud to call it home. (Fantastic Episodes, watched all of them!) Will pick up a copy of your mag now. Cheers.
Excellent as usual David, I know that you used the TKC80 in Continental Drift, but I wonder which tires did you use for this type of terrain (mainly off-road and sand), thanks mate!
Hello can anyone help me to pick my first adventure bike, no more than 600cc and i will by it used. i dont want nothing yet like bmw as im new to this.
+Alistair Mcgown I think you've forgotten about fuel range, fatigue effects of constant buffeting on your chest. Yeah the Honda could do it, but it's got to be set up for it.
Agreed it would be lighter in the sand, but the service intervals are shorter. The 690 has 10,000k service intervals. This desert trip is well over 4,000k.
Ronald Burgundy Ronald, it works like this, post a video demonstrating your skills and then this comment MAY and I stress may, have some meaning. Can't help but notice you haven't EVER posted a vid. We're waiting Ronald.
Alejandro Aros we used TKC80s for this trip. They were great. No punctures on any of the bikes during 4,500 ks.
4:57 in and already know I'm not going to bed any time soon. This is going to be epic. Cheers for the opportunity to watch for free.

Daniel Mores Yep 4:20 "And Philippe also settled on a 690."

***** Suzuki DR650 is the best entry level bike.
Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV thank you what about DRZ400?
Yeah they are good too!
finally i know wher i can get a dakar front for a ktm :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate those big heavy expensive bikes I would just take a Honda CRF 450 and that will be brilliant!
+Alistair Mcgown I think you've forgotten about fuel range, fatigue effects of constant buffeting on your chest. Yeah the Honda could do it, but it's got to be set up for it.
Long range fuel tanks and a few LED lights and it's all good!
I would think the lighter 500exc would be better for all the sand.

Ok I see, I bet the extra torque of the 690 helps to make up a bit also. Thx for the reply, looking forward to next vid.
My grandma rides faster than this....... (she's paralyzed)
