  • Living in a retirement community can be peaceful and relaxing, but it can also bring unexpected visitors. For one homeowner, she found herself with a mother raccoon and her babies living inside her window well. As much as she loved having them so close, she was also worried about going into her own backyard.
That's when she called Gates Wildlife, a professional wildlife control company that specializes in the humane removal of wildlife. Responding to the call, the team quickly assessed the situation and devised a plan to safely remove the raccoon family from the window well and reunite them.
In this heartwarming video, you can see the entire process unfold as the team carefully lifts each raccoon out of the window well and places them safely in a heated reunion box. But the story doesn't end there! The team also captures the mother returning for her babies later that day.
Watch the video now to witness this heartwarming rescue and reunion, brought to you by Gates Wildlife.
Please give this video of thumbs up if you enjoyed it!

Yep. If they just didn’t break into people’s homes dropping feces and stuff and chewing through wires and leaving their homes exposed so other animals could get in then they could stay. I’m pretty sure as long as their other den site isn’t someone else’s home it’ll be adequate for her and her babies. She did look so cute lying on her babies keeping them warm though.

The fur loss on her could be from crawling under fence.
I rescued a raccoon when I was a kid. He didn't have eyes opened. I feed it with doll bottle.
Snooks was his name. Boy can I tell stories on Snooks. Got into alot of trouble le over that coon.
Snooks didn't know that it was a raccoon. He thought he was a dog because that's what kept him safe while at school.
One day we ran to the store. Back then you didn't even close your front door. When we got home Snooks had gotten into the kitchen. They heard my mom scream 2 streets over. Snooks had sugar and flour everywhere. Dad built a cage whenever he got home. Had to lock him up while at school.
I could go on and on with stories of Snooks.
At 5 I Finally had to set him free at my uncles. He kept beating up the dogs in the neighborhood.
I loved that coon. He slept with me. I sat outside to eat so Snooks could have a bite.
I cried for days over Snooks.😢

In one of their vids the mom did come back and take up residence and was there the next day. Free rent and utilities. 😅 They gave her an extra day and she took her babies and left.
We had a raccoon get under a cedar shake shingle and into our attic. They have alot of hair and can squeeze into small spaces. We were wondering why we were seeing the mom in broad daylight drinking out of our bird bath with us sitting right there. She did $600 worth of damage to our roof taking them out. We thought we were hearing birds till the babies got mobile and we scheduled to have "squirrels" removed. Never suspected it was that larger-looking raccoon.

Watching this video made me realize we have raccoon babies in our attic now. I knew there must be a raccoon because I saw one early one morning then heard something heavy and smelled a horrible odor. But I heard what I thought were baby birds as I sat on the front porch. I couldn't see a nest, but the sound is coming from the soffit just over the flowerbed. Our porch is covered. When I watched this tonight and heard them crying that's the same exact sound I was hearing on the porch. 😭 We just don't have the money to call our regular critter catcher. So for those of you who don't want them moved, be glad. I'm just afraid of them causing a fire. Our lights have been on the fritz for months and I know both the mama and some squirrels have been in the attic. 😒

She needs to be taken to wildlife rehab. She looks unhealthy. I’ve taken raccoons to Blue Ridge Wildlife Center here. I had one who looked like she does sleeping on my porch. I called animal control and the dispatcher said they’d put him down. I said no thanks, trapped him in a trap release trap and took him to the wildlife center. You what they diagnosed him with? Lice. She also looks like she has lice. She needs help.

The fur loss was from squeezing under wooden fences and other tight spots. The was no sign of mange or injury. She did have an unusually small face but that's probably just genetics.

Did you get that poor mama and her babies out? My heart breaks for her as she tries to protect her family. You can see by her fur that she hasn't had an easy life. The fear she must be feeling really makes me sad. I pray you got her out with her family and that she is taken some place safe with food. 😥😥😥❤️❤️❤️🦝🦝♥️

That looks like scarring, not the scabs I've seen that mange victims have. It's not nice, and probably causes her some distress, but taking her in for treatment would be very stressful for her.

Mom did destroy the window screen. And it is a very small yard to co-exist with them as you start spring flower planting,

@@maxb4074 That yard does not see to have been taken care of in quite some time though.... could have waited another month or so in my opinion. The window screen is already gone. Evicting the raccoon will not make the damage undone.
