“7empest” is great. Just a long Tool Jan with style throwback to Undertow (Which Preston hasn’t explored) definitely the most aggressive since Hooker with a Penis. I do feel Preston is more Ambient and Small detail oriented, with great appreciation for Vocals and Lyrics. In which case most of the other songs on this album might appeal to him much more. Not that this is a bad choice. We’ll watch all the reactions from FI. Clearly.

@@PoliticallyAffiliated I did! Don't assume things my guy. Maynard has surely progressed with Puscifer, but I wasn't expecting this much mayhem out of Danny, Adam and Justin. That timing on these songs is something never heard. TOOL went above and beyond with this album. In honesty, when I heard Fear Inoculum, I felt like the were going toward more of a Lateralus sound but it's actually a perfect mix of all their different styles throughout the bands history. It's the perfect album, tied all their music together.

Pneuma (πνεῦμα) is an ancient Greek word for "breath", and in a religious context for "spirit" or "soul". ... In classical philosophy, it is distinguishable from psyche (ψυχή), which originally meant "breath of life", but is regularly translated as "spirit" or most often "soul".- Wikipedia

Pneuma meant "wind" originally, but was later used by Christians to describe the Holy "Spirit". Jesus breathed (pneuma) the Holy Spirit upon his disciples in John's Gospel. So, since God "breathed" life into humanity and Jesus into his believers, the idea is that there is a unity between those things whom God created.

@MWPRO1000 Danny plays a middle eastern drum on this song (I believe it's called the Tabla, but don't quote that). He also studied under some percussion masters in the Middle East and India at one point in his life. Along with his jazz background, he has said they are very influential to his sound and style. You can feel it in his tom work over the entire course of his career. Even with all the weird meters and changes, he gives that tribal beat with the toms all the time. That wakes up something primal in everyone when they hear it.

I applaud you on highlighting the lyrics, but that being said, I can never get over how you NEVER seem moved or impressed by Danny's insane drum fills!!! I was waiting for some reaction to the drumming, making some comment about it, but it didn't come. I guess drums don't speak to you, even from the best drummer in the world, doing things in this song and on this album, that NO ONE else does. Man, I love how your reactions are so authentic and pure yet so deep and analytical too. You get music as it should be, a trip, an experience. I've been a Tool fan since Undertow and I love how you help me start from scratch and listen to them with new eyes and new heart. One breathe, one word and we wake up and remember that we are able to start a new path any second. Tool is magical. I have them tattooed on my skin and heart. My other tattoo is Primus, another band that you really should react to. If you think Tool is one of a kind probably Primus is the most unique band out there, not for everyone but just as important. Different stories, different energy but they take you on insane adventures as well. I was able to see them together live along with Puscifer, it was insane. Thanks for this videos mah boy, Preston. Man I love you Preston. You're the real deal. 100 percent. I love how this stuff cuts to the quick with you and how you try to relate it to your life. I'm an atheist and when you start talking about God in this context it doesn't come across as preachy or anything like that AT ALL. Just one guy who happens to be religious trying to channel his emotions from these songs through that specific lens, and hoping that others dig that shit too.
P.S., what is the actual bible quote you were referring to about removing toxic people from your life and moving on? Please tell me, I gotta know.
