I applaud you on highlighting the lyrics, but that being said, I can never get over how you NEVER seem moved or impressed by Danny's insane drum fills!!! I was waiting for some reaction to the drumming, making some comment about it, but it didn't come. I guess drums don't speak to you, even from the best drummer in the world, doing things in this song and on this album, that NO ONE else does. One breathe, one word and we wake up and remember that we are able to start a new path any second. Tool is magical. I have them tattooed on my skin and heart. My other tattoo is Primus, another band that you really should react to. If you think Tool is one of a kind probably Primus is the most unique band out there, not for everyone but just as important. Different stories, different energy but they take you on insane adventures as well. I was able to see them together live along with Puscifer, it was insane. Thanks for this videos mah boy, Preston. one of the only one's that i have seen where the reviewer actually reads the lyrics and helps explain them to the viewer.
subbed!
Been waiting FOREVER haha!! But thanks for doing what you do!! Culling voices is the shit! But i keep going back to Fear Inoculum! I love that song!
That's it - you hit the nail on the head! So much soul without any words - you can feel what they are trying to express through pure instrumentation. Vocals are the cherry on top!
This new album is all about Danny having the limelight and shining bright!
Haha agreed. I don't think a new metal fan can comprehend the complex language skills of Danny carey.but I think maybe if he listens to it again,he will start peeling more layers from this masterpiece.you just have to go back at it again
Tears of joy for this song man. My favorite on the album. It just takes you on a journey.
Invincible dude, invincibleeeee, check out invincible is out of this world!!!
I dislike invincible very much,
This song reminds me to get out of my head, and notice the emotions that surround me. Then when possible show others that I acknowledge their joy, pain, stress, worry, and so on. Remember live life through compassion, self respect, and friction.
Loved your reaction man. You may inspire many people. And I hope you do.
They create space. You have said all that needs to be said. Well informed and great ability to communicate depth and meaning.
That single guitar riff that comes in after that epic semi-finale never fails to give me goosebumps.
Great reaction!! I was waiting specifically for this reaction. You always do a fantastic job breaking things down and giving your honest opinion.
TOOL never disappoints. This song is awesome
This is the exact reaction I've had to Tool's music for the last 30 years. I still get goosebumps. I love your enthusiasm!
Favorite Track off the new album
The reason I love your reactions is because it feels like I'm listening to it the first time with you. You just fucking get it bro. You just get tool and what they do.
I’ve been saying for years the Tool was like a modern day Pink Floyd. Both bands wrote/write very deep music.
You absolutely nailed it with that comparison.
best review I've seen. Thank you
"Keep the faith inside you. Let God shine light apon you."
Man, I love how your reactions are so authentic and pure yet so deep and analytical too. You get music as it should be, a trip, an experience. I've been a Tool fan since Undertow and I love how you help me start from scratch and listen to them with new eyes and new heart. Peace!
03:10 The smile that comes to my face every time Maynard starts singing on a Tool song.
Preston I just want to say thank you for your evolution as a creator and sharing your gifts with us. We can all see them developing in you. We are watching. You have grown right in front of us.
I seriously don't think you will be able to contain yourself when listening to Invincible, 7empest, and mostly Descending. Can't wait for those.
I love your reactions so much. I love the fact that you, like me, said to yourself "Tool makes me FEEL like I did when I first heard DSotM" The first time I heard Prison Sex, 4 degrees, Flood etc it brought me back to early childhood when my sister was blasting Wish You Were Here and Animals. I've had a very emotional connection to Tool and Floyd my whole life and this album just cements them to memory. "Wake up, remember!"
Culling voices will dig deep into your soul and capture every bit of it, releasing into the cosmos. Enjoy
I love how pumped you are for new Tool! You are obviously a true fan and I salute you bro💯
You are the Tool of reaction videos. You know what I'm saying?
Yeah he goes way deeper than many others
Hahaahahahahhaahahahahahabbaabbabaababbaabbahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahhaahhahahaha
@@richtigersoan nah...check out Dylan Caldwell..
I love this guy haha
@@corydrentlaw9690 Dylan is awesome too
Seeing this notification made me smile. Thanks King, great reaction.
For me this evokes youth, telling you to remember the light you had before the world stomped it out
My first time listening because I knew it wouldn't be as special without hearing your review and seeing your reaction. I knew it was good but I waited for the exact right time. Thank you Tool. Thank you, Prez.
Damn dude that's hella wholesome 🤘
This album is nuts, I used to think Pink Floyd was the top band musically, but this whole album is next level
Since I was 14 years old…Tool helped me through so many different levels. They’ve taken me away from the closet to the edge as one can get, away from loss and most importantly away from my own selfish thought. I’ve watched your reactions to Tool and appreciate that you hear and feel what they have done and continue to do after all these years! Im 45 now and have four children and they also love Tool. Im glad I made it.
Descending and this are my fav 2 songs on the album.
Dude you always get deep with your thoughts and opinions on these songs and I freaking love it man! Keep it up!
Absolutely, brother, Tool is my Generation's Pink Floyd
Love how you react to the changes in rifts towards the end. Pure raw art right there. Well done!
TOOL is like a spiritual teet one needs to go to from time to time to balance themselves out. Great video.
I've thought about how to describe Tool to someone that has never heard them, and "Heavy Pink Floyd" is what I keep coming back to.
Disposition, Reflection, Triad - Tool , please react.
TheJimger , i didn’t know that. Thanks for telling. Maybe one day he will find a safe way to react to that song , it is also my favorite. Also Hooker with a penis is very cool.
Triad is ridiculous the beginning of that song is extremely hard to grasp on drums hardest shit to play known to man if u ask me Only seen one correct cover of it so far
I’ve been waiting for you reactions to the new album to start coming out. Yes!
Can't wait for Tool - Invincible reaction! That song has been kicking my ass all week, I haven't moved forward in the album yet. Might need a few more days of Invincible before moving onto Descending.
It is an incredible song. Already one of my all time favorite Tool songs.
@@AustinOxner Right?! How can it not be, that middle section has the chunkiest riff ever
Danny and Justin brought the heavy weight on that song. So great!
I love seeing your eyes light up when they transition. Probably my favorite of all the reaction folks out there. Thanks Pres.
Man I love you Preston. You're the real deal. 100 percent. I love how this stuff cuts to the quick with you and how you try to relate it to your life. I'm an atheist and when you start talking about God in this context it doesn't come across as preachy or anything like that AT ALL. Just one guy who happens to be religious trying to channel his emotions from these songs through that specific lens, and hoping that others dig that shit too.
P.S., what is the actual bible quote you were referring to about removing toxic people from your life and moving on? Please tell me, I gotta know.
