Yes a great video. Some things I've seen before. Not that it matters because I love watching what you do. I love the piece you did and you did say it was out of your comfort zone with the various colors you used. Think it was the work bench, looked more like a stain in the wood. It was beautiful with the blue, yellow and red, so pretty. The last project also that your friend gave you another bench I love the way you did the top of it. I used to watch my Mom do projects when I was young. She was always stripping furniture, reupholstering, wallpapering and doing all things imaginable. I'm the only one of the 4 girls who followed in her footsteps. Thank you for sharing and for all of the inspiration I receive from watching you thank you,

    Hi Deidra,
WOW! You packed a lot into that almost one and a half hour. I didn't speed it up I watched the entire video. I was very intrigued and impressed. As soon as I saw the wicker stand right away I told myself that is a sewing stand. Under the top where it had that strap that once was very taut, it was a scissor(s) holder or a pattern holder. The inside top was often used I believe for fabric and the below basket area people put their yard and knitting needles in or hand sewing. I studied furniture for one class in my first year of college. The large shutter piece of furniture looked just like the Ethan Allen stereo my Mom had that my sister has in her home since my Mom passed away I'm 2021. The stereo cabinet same style same curved top as your cabinet. Your little spindle table that you put the wrapping paper on, my Mom has the same one that she always had next to her couch just to put her coffee on and an African violet on the top and below a stack of Bibles. I was too sentimental to throw it out so I gave it in my storage unit.
Where i live now I call my stepping stone. It's very very tiny, 3rd floor, no elevator, hardship carrying groceries and laundry up with a disabled leg.. I was so hoping to buy my sister and brother out to stay at my Mom's as I had been living with her when she was diagnosed. But I was unable to buy them out due to many factors. I so miss her porch which was covered and awesome for projects as it had outlets out there. My Mom had a bench she brought home from a curb side find. We fixed it up and it looked so nice. My Mom kept garden tools inside the bench. The last 4th of July she was alive we had a little afternoon party out there for her. Someone sat in the bench and I heard a noise but did not know what happened until they left. The seat cracked all the way down. The day I moved already having 3 storage units I had no room to take the bench. I so wanted it but, I had no one to store it for me too. The realator wanted everything out so I had to drag it to the curb.
My rental is up in March and I am in a historical building where I can only use command hooks so most all my walls are bare. I missed my goal of owning my own house at age 25, 30, 40, but I have started looking at little homes that will be coming avail in early spring 2024. I think I will finally succeed. In this Northern VA area right now the land is higher than the homes. I am praying for a gas stove, 2 bedrooms, a nice back porch with glass or screen. My Mom's oriental rug which is an orig has the colors of yours. I have a rusty red, a beautiful blue, cream and a sage green. I am not fancy I will make all my own curtains. My room at my Mom's was called Soft Sage by PPG Timeless collection. I hope I can paint my bedroom again that color. I am hoping for a nice craft room which I have never had. I gave to use the dining room table everywhere I gave lived.
Your stand with the wonky orig colors is just what I have only 4 above cabinets for food and dishes. I haven't any storage for my griddles, my blender, juicer, pie plates, etc. I have been storing pie plates and my turkey roaster in my refrigerator on dish towels to not scratch the clear plastic shelves. I have been to thrift stores looking for bookcases light weight to carry upstairs. I think tomorrow I will go to Michaels to see if I can buy those wood crates to put on one side of the kitchen and make my own cabinet and I have Dollar Tree placemats I can put in to and then put my Mom's Kitchen Aid mixer on top and a couple plants.
I have put many f your ideas into my mental library of DYI. Thank you for a wonderful video of jam packed inspirations!
    Blessings,
    Rebekah

at Harbor freight or automotive stores, there is a magnetic bowl made to keep track of screws, and other metallic hardware while working on a vehicle. You should add a
    Couple to your workshop

When you use the torch on your piece of furniture you should have used your torch with the grain of the wood.

My Grandmother at the Jersey shore owned 3 apartments from the early 60s thru to when she passed away in 2001. She did all her own cleaning. With Clorox mixed with water for all the sinks floors tubs walls. When she had to go to city hall to sign papers for a new business venture she had to press her thumb print into ink. When she put it on paper she had no finger print. They tried every finger. I do not know what became of it, but the Clorox took her prints away. My Mom had her own domestic business and us kids made her wear gloves to scrub in and we were always concerned with grandma and my Mom breathing in these chemicals also. I am surprised many of these DIYers do not use airators while using the sprays and stains. All that is so harmful to our lungs. I guess if your outside it's better.

Make sure you use brand name screwdrivers that are not dollar store quality also use wax installing screws for hardwood and stubborn ones... just incase you need to take appart in the future . Stripped screws stink. Love watching your upcycles.

The whole time I visited my grandma in her farmhouse she never had anything with graphics on it.
It's not authentic when you do things like that.
