You need to remember to press the large pedal on the left side when going to hard surfaces such as hardwood floors so that the brush stops spinning in order to avoid "burning" marks in those floors.
Major problem, after just a few short year years, the no suction loss really loses a lot of suction. So don't be fooled with the no suction loss feature. It's just temporary. All in all a very well made machine
Can you buy a longer hose attachment? The one that comes with it makes my back hurt because of bending over and hard to vacuum in corners and under the bed.
I love mine and because of allergies I don't smell the dust from running this but my problem comes in dumping the cup. Quick question and how can you clean the upper wind tunnel because you can't get your hand up in there to wipe down so any suggestions that won't cause the dust to circulate really bad.
I have an important question- please- can anyone answer: what does the canister look like and how does it empty when full? When OVER full? I know, user error. Well, I can’t teach every roommate and family member to pay attention to the level of fullness and empty before it’s too much. So every time I empty any vacuum, I spend more time and energy CLEANING/EMPTYING the vacuum than I do actually vacuuming. I literally just smashed my old Bissel to pieces bc I lost it. I shouldn’t have to clean it out with a wooden kitchen spoon! Again, I can’t prevent it from being overfilled, so why aren’t they made where the top piece can detach as well, enabling me to properly clean and clear it??? Does this one open from the top as well as the bottom? And not just to access the filter, but the actual CANISTER. (For when it’s full and the fur/etc gets jammed at the top all around the filter) I just can’t deal with this anymore. I have a back injury and chronic pain and someone has GOT to see there’s a design flaw. I HOPE THIS ONE DOESNT HAVE THAT FLAW- PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU KNOW!! Thank you!! 💗🤙🏼🤟

Earlier last year I had another win tunnel model that I really liked But something happened in it messed up on me and I had discarded so in the mean time I went out and purchased a Bissell well The Bissell does an A OK job But it only has a 10 Amp Motor. But the Hoover has a 12 Amp motor Believe me between the Bissell I can tell a big difference I'll be giving my Bissell away soon and can't wait for my Hoover to arrive. Also I just got new carpet roughly 2 years ago so I know that Hoover is going to do in amazing job
This vacuum is great for custodians who work in a public school especially if the school is an elementary school. In the district I work in, if the vacuum brakes then they will give the custodian a hard time to fix it and the administration encourages the custodians to buy their own vacuum.
I am no authority but I have the basic low carpet , whatever it should be called and once in a while I just run the floor sector but it does not work as well because the suction is so strong. Just my opinion.

I bought it last year because we of course have pets. It is definitely Not made for pets, 2 dogs mainly outside 2 cats all thin furred only carpets are in the bedrooms we seldomly have to vacuum. VERY disappointed, it does Not suck up the fur, it keeps clogging after 2 square feet of vacuuming. The fur is too thin so it gets stuck and becomes a filter so nothing after the filter of fur builds gets sucked in. It just throws everything else into the air and flicks everything behind the unit. Like I said I barely bought this last February and we don't use it often and I had to take it back to the vacuum shop. False advertising on Hoover's side. I've called Hoover several times already and apparently their 5 year warranty does Not cover this mechanical issue. Don't waste your $, worked great first couple times of use then only down hill from there.

I have a long haired Siberian, beautiful cat, and after using a high priced ORECK for years, after one vacuum with this HOOVER it was a marked difference. The dust bin was FULL, I mean absolutely full of her hair. Will never go back to overpriced, under performing vacuums again!
The problem with all these bagless vacuum cleaners that claim you can wash the filter is that you can not use it to vacuum up anything like plaster dust which sets solid and ruins the filter if you wash it.
Dont waste yer money on these bag-less vacuums. They all suffer from one major flaw. The hinge where you let the debris out from. Its a flimsy piece of plastic that over time will snap off. Ours lasted less than 3 months. Its OK for them showing the debris just "flows" out and leaves behind a spotless dust canister. In the real world you have to give it a good tap to release it out.,
I hate this vacuum. Brand new, it goes about ten minutes, then shuts itself down for thirty?! It also just kicks out everything, and is awful on tile floors, even worse than on carpet. it turned on the red indicator AGAIN after i had just cleaned the filters. DO NOT BUY the hoover high performance pet vacuum!
This is the shittiest vacuum I have ever owned. It is also the most expensive one I've ever bought. Had it 5 months - broken plastic holders on the back. Clogs constantly - worst than anything I've ever used and now just completely died right now. Garbage. And didn't do any better on pet fur than any other cheap vacuum. Get what's on sale - but not this.

It does do well on hardware Floors, but the problem with vacuuming hardware floors is that it kicks back particles with the spinning action.
The beater brush must be deactivated with the left side pedal when on hard surfaces.

Does not explain how to clean inside the of the tunnel when it gets dirty and how to take it apart and clean the tunnel.
Thy say not to put anything in water but the washable filter, brush out the metal screen with the small holes, I called Hoover about cleaning.

Have you tried a shop vac then to suck up the plaster dust? This vacuum is great for typical house hold use.

Try turning the knob while the vacuum is running. You may have a blockage stopping the knob from turning.
