You guys have saved me. A TON of money.
Cool thanks!
great tutorial but u left out front wheel assembly which is what I needed. For all u did cover GREAT JOB!!!😉 THANKS char
Same with the pedal when you step on the button does it stop the agitator rollbrush from turning completely or do you have to keep your foot on pedal button to keep it stopped. When the vacuum is placed in the upright position, the agitator brush is suppose to stop turning, is this correct? Cause mine keeps on spinning.
I have a shipping bolt that is in the way of the handle insert. It has what looks like a fixed washer on the end of it preventing me from undoing the screw. Should I take it back? Not sure what else to do. Thank you!

Thank you for saving me from opening the cord rewind by pry-bar 😜 Good job!
Well this was informative although I have a UH 72600. I don't think this is gonna work...
I don't know why it is but I like working on Hoover Vacuums. I should of gotten a job at Hoover. But a last
Great video - extremely helpful! I have a Hoover Windtunnel T-series, Model #UH70210. Was working on removing the motor housing but then came to a screeching halt - this model has a light bulb. Even after removing the light bulb, the socket prevents me from completely removing the motor housing. What's the trick?
You may have to disconnect the wires from the light socket. If they will not come off the socket you might have to pop the socket through the housing with the wires attached. Even with the light housing attached to the wires you still should have enough room to set it aside and remove the motor.
So Far, So Good
God bless you richly I used to do this kind of work I can't get the energy up anymore with heart and lung problems I do software more pair you can fix the screen real simple the packaging tape or gorilla clear tape depending on how bad the crack are
do you have any idea how to remove the rear wheels and the shaft? I gotta replace the base part but the wheels are never taken out.
+Younjoo Lee We do not have a video for that procedure.
Where are you? A few questions about surface selector switch have been unanswered. lol Mine works but it doesn't lock in place to disengage beater brush. Model UH30300
awesome. I fixed the cord! Thanks!
+Fawn Sorkoram Awesome!
I want to find out what's wrong with my floor level adjustment. This did not address that.

Help, I have a clog somewhere in the hose on my Hoover Windtunnel 2. I cannot get the hose separated from the vacuum up by the handle. In your video you just twist the hose loose. Doesn't work so well on mine. The latch seems to have a little piece that will not let the slider come out of the groove. Sucker flat will not disengage. Is there some trick I'm missing?
Take it outside and pour hot water on the latch and hose to see if it will loosen up. Alternatively, try using a small screwdriver to help pry it loose. If you do this, be careful not to damage the hose and fitting. They sometimes get stuck if they haven’t been taken apart before.
I appreciate the response. We'll try that. There seems to be a notch at the end of the slide area where the hose slips into the vacuum. That seems to be keeping the hose from coming off. We thought perhaps that was a defect in the plastic, but then again it could be there to keep it from just slipping apart. Will give your suggestions a try.
Amazing, a household appliance that should run with no problem requires constant maintenance and cleaning, If I wanted this problem, I should have bought a high performance sports car. What a bunch of crap. I got a Hoover tunnel and thermal switch went bad, after using 6 times. They sent me another one, Same problem happen after using it 6 times. Now they tell me to eat the problem. They use a warranty date of the date the product was manufactured and not the date of purchase. Good Luck if you have this thermal problem.
You took everything apart but the part I need...when I step on the button to engage the belt/beater bar it won't engage.
me too wtf
how do i recharge the batter on my vacuum if i dont have anything to charge it with??. taskvac-vacuum
+Joe Arizona You would need the charger. Get your model number and enter it into our website to find parts including a replacement charger.
kool, ok thank u very much ill do that rite now.
Good video, unfortunately, I need more information on why the retractable cord mechanism will not let the cord stay out of the mechanism.
Same, they tell you how to get to it but not how to fix it.
I remember having a this when I was a baby it broke my mom throw it out I cry
My Hoover Wind tunnel vac just stops working due to overheating. I unplug it and once it cools down it starts again. What is causing this?? I've cleaned everything I can in it.
+Jean Ryder The motor could be defective if everything is clean.
The wheels on the vacuum cleaner go round and round
Yes I need the surface selector toooo
I have the same vacuum model. My surface selector switch is broken. How to repair/replace?
+jridge16 This video shows how to disassemble the vacuum to get to the switch. Take it one step further and lift it out of the housing and disconnect wires.
+RepairClinic.com I have a Hoover wind tunnel model uh70120 and when I tilt the vacuum in the front it makes a squeaking noise can it be the motor or belt because the vacuum works so it cant be motor
Yeah help me with the Handle
how do I reassemble the surface selector?
+Alex Linthicum It varies from model to model.
Thanks....
can't screw the top off, like its glued on
You covered everything except my bizarre problem. The back wheels spin freely when I lift the vacuum up off the ground, yet when I try to use the vacuum they bind up and won't turn. Sometimes they'll turn for 5 seconds or so before binding up again. When I pull the vacuum they're fine, but pushing it forward seizes them up. Help, please, I'm too old to be fighting my vacuum cleaner when trying to clean my house!
😊
Everything but the part I need to take off....the clear plastic part OVER the beater bar. I need to clean inside it.

+Ramzy Kilic We do not have a video for that part number.
Family Guy's New Brian narrator
All good but doesn't explain how to fix a siezed agitator brush which causes the belt to burn and break. This can be done by removing the brush, removing the two black screws along the brush shaft and inserting good household lubricating oil. Then tip the brush both ways to get the oil to the bearings and work the ends till it frees up. Took all of five minutes. Re[place the screws as soon as you have inserted the oil or it will drop out on your carpet!
The next step is to throw it in the trash
What vacuum cleaner is this?
Hoover wind tunnel Paws
....... shouldn't there be a set of wheels at the front of my new Whirlwind as well as the ones at the back..... it is rather difficult to push over carpet!
I'm disappointed at the power cable length which is very short and restrictive.
got..it....thanks....would. be a nice..optional..feature..to.have..a..extended...cord..line..like...the..back.vac..tech..I.experienced..in...1983...
