  • What started out as a video idea for the VNV Nation track - Art of Conflict grew and evolved into something else....something worse.
Apologies for the poor quality. I was hoping to upload a Mov or Avi file but they kept crashing....any advice on how to get the 1.6gb file to upload correctly would be apreciated.

I liked it! Great stock footage! I remember watching some of these clips on TV; really brought back some memories.

No, not at all. You made a damn good video with it, and it's the results that matter.

To be quite honest, the programs I use are used mainly for trimming, audio-swapping, and final compression (usually to AVI). If I have to add titles or stitch together two separate video clips, I use (shock, horror) Windows Movie Maker.

Powerdirector is so simple for all the basics..so it suits me fine for what I'm doing. It's a little restrictive at times and I'm still learning the finer points. My hope is to improve with each new project.

What program have you been using to try to compress the file? I use AviSynth and AviDemux myself, with AVSProxy to let AviDemux and AviSynth talk to each other.
(On a side note, I think this is a pretty interesting video.)

@M4c4v17y It let me choose the output file type and Mp4 was the only one that had a decent compression time and didn't fail part way through the upload to UA-cam.

@M4c4v17y I used powerdirector 9....I should be ashamed right?
