Um...thank you. I'm not much for public speaking, or much for speaking, or, come to think of it, much for the public. And I'm not very good at lying. So let me just say that, in my experience, high school sucks. If I had to do it all over again, I'd have started advanced placement classes in preschool so I could go from eighth grade straight to college. However, given the unalterable fact that high school sucks, I'd like to add that if you're lucky enough to have a good friend and a family that cares, it doesn't have to suck quite as much. Otherwise, my advice is: stand firm for what you believe in, until and unless logic and experience prove you wrong; remember, when the emperor looks naked, the emperor is naked; the truth and a lie are not "sort of the same thing"; and there's no aspect, no facet, no moment of life that can't be improved with pizza. Thank you.
I had just turned 5 when this movie came out, so growing up watching reruns with my parents, I didn't really understand the context of some episodes. However, I still loved anything animated and loved watching this with them. Now as a 26 year old about to be 27, my love for this show just grows more deeper the older I get. There really hasn't been another show quite like it
Just finished watching the show for the 2nd time and boy... no explanation needed, I'd easily watch the "adventures" of the characters in college. You know when something is so good you wish it never ended? Well, that's pretty much what I and so many others feel, absolutely amazing.
I recently went to Kimcartoon to find they'd just uploaded all the episodes in "version 2", meaning, the "Daria Restoration Project" had finally finished giving the series back it's original audio. However, I noticed they only had the movies over in "version 1", which are the ones where MTV screwed them up on DVD. Luckily with "Is it Fall Yet", i found a higher-quality copy on my hard drive, and with the original song at the credits still in it! Not sure if they altered the "Is it College Yet?" movie, as both an old copy of mine plus the one on Kimcartoon seem to be identical, aside from one being better quality. Wish someone out there would create a list of the changes, dangit.
Imagine if Beavis and Butthead, Daria, King of the Hill, Family, Simpsons and Futurama, South Park and Goode Family (Creator of the first two) had a miniseries together. One or two episodes does not cut it.
OMG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THIS I know the audience is completely different but 40 year old dads would be surprised to see how much they have in common with 15 year old girls

For those of you hurt by the nostalgia this conjures, you’re not alone.
I was not even a kid in the time this show came out and I still feel nostalgic. I wonder why?
Daria, the last great show on MTV.
im 8 years late but i think clone high came after daria
@@megamindsfreshmintycum Say what?
Lol :)
And the most intelligent
@@megamindsfreshmintycum yeah, by a year
Now MTV is full of douche TV reality programs
I wish this song were longer, the energy is so.. hypnotic, or something
Came to the comments to say the same thing.
Something about it feels so nostalgic, even if you didn't grow up in the late 90s/early 2000s
The Nostalgia hurts.
Truth. First watched this special back in 2002. Then I rematched it when i graduated in 2013, a whole decade, and it is STILL relevant.
Arghhh ninja cutting onions :'(
Calvin Lala I can't finish watching im gonna cry😢😢
It sure does, I remember watching this along with MTV Fear, True Life, Real World, and playing old sega games lol
Back when you could say anything without being sent to gulag.

Good luck
there's so much nostalgia i have no idea how to explain it, it kind of makes me sad.
Me too...memories of a TV from another time that no longer exist....
One of the last gasps of 90s critique extraordinaire. This song gives me chills and bittersweet memories.
there's only one problem in this song, it's too short

I always thought it was “God knows we’re already sisters”
i heard it as "god loves sorority sisters", said ironically lol
God, whenever i hear this song, i am instantly transported to my 16 years.
I love the energy in this song! I wish it was longer...
The lead singer always sounded like Daria to me
YES EXACTLY THANK YOU.
I like "Turn the Sun Down"
Finally ive found this masterpiece
this is such a good song!

I also just finished the series on that site! took me back to a time i was not born, but Daria is literally my life.
This is a song I'll listen to when I go to college. Don't get me wrong, I love college, but I'm currently in 8th grade.
Same
Good luck high school goes by fast
@@bodyrotting2023 I made this when I was in 8th grade, now I'm a high school sophomore
I love the character arc in this thread.
A personal favorite of Daria song. :-)
Rewatched the whole show recently and felt so weird when the movie ended
0:44 nostalgia intenses hurt
This Splendora wow
Wish King of the Hill could've crossovered with Daria...instead it crossovers with Family Guy and The Cleveland Show
Mr. N Not The Simpsons? I feel like Daria and Lisa would get on very well.
Could you imagine Lisa being influenced by Daria and Jane? Like they did The Gupty's?

I agree with you
Better than high school 😅
@@TommyMVSERVTI I agree with you
When daria and jane are in the door is the point of the movie
Are they gonna still be together after high school?
They both went in their separate ways. They both got into different colleges.
I have seen the film.
In the movie they went to different college but in the same city and they decide to visit each other
Why this is not in Spotify !???
