But how did she really feel about filming the demanding series? What was the relationship between Erin and co-star Gil Gerard? How did she overcome 22 years of abuse?

Erin was a greatly underrated actress. But I have to say her first season Buck Rogers costume designer deserves an Emmy.
The mini skirt uniform was my personal favorite.

Erin Gray is now a casting agent whose agency, Heroes for Hire, specializes in booking sci-fi and fantasy stars for personal appearances, speaking engagements, and charity events.
Saw her doing autographs at a Trek convention in the 90s. Line was longer than others and I wasn’t big into autographs. Still thought it was neat to see her and all the other character actors there.

Good to see someone here actually knows information like this. Too many videos about "tragic lives" when they just changed what they do!
I grew up on Erin Grey. Wink.
Watching Buck Rogers while all of us sitting around the TV eating our supper was awesome times!!
TV dinners? On TV trays?
I saw her years ago at Starfest Denver, and she was one of the most gracious guests I've ever seen. She conveyed the joy of falling in love with her 2nd husband and we were all moved.
She's been on Star Trek Continues 2015. Beautiful girl in her time. Played a Star Fleet commodore.
And Gil Gerard was in Star Trek New Voyages (episode Kitumba) as Admiral Jack Sheehan.
Oh man, I was in love with Col. Wilma Dearing. Erin Gray was my first crush. But seriously, Buck Rogers was an awesome show, and watched as long as it was in syndication.

I was wondering why you didn't mentioned Silver Spoons another great show. But than again she stared in it she wasn't always on like in Buck Rogers. I am glad to hear about how Gil helped her out on the set, and how they still get along.
awwww she was a good actress
I've seen her in a commercial recently. We all get old
Met her at a comic con; super nice lady! Still beautiful too! Loved her in the movie six pack!
I love that movie and I never realized that was her in it! The Kenny Rogers film right?
@@jangles1839 Yep lol! A young Diane lane in it also!
Googled it. No mention of the actress disappearing. The only Erin Gray mentioned is a 33 yr old Canadian who disappeared with her children in 2014 but were found 5 days later
I didn't know she suffered from so much abuse in her personal life. I remember watching her in both Buck Rogers and Silver Spoons. About twenty years ago I met her and Gil at a convention, she was as sweet and charming as she was on screen.
Ahhh yes. I absolutely loved her. A great shame she wasn't in many more shows. I can say the same for Maren Jensen, Laurette Spang, and Anne Lockhart.
That's for sure ✔️
Great actress! The two of them had such great chemistry. Even when the plot lines dipped in satisfaction levels I still would watch just to see them. I remember her also in an independent Star Trek performance. Loved those shows. More important to tell a story with great performances than glitzy sets and costumes. Good luck should always be hers.
I loved "Buck Rogers"! I always thought Erin Gray and Gil Gerard were friends. Their chemistry was good on screen, and the first season was so much fun!
Its hard to find a face that naturally beautiful since Erin. Absolutely stunning 😍
I met her years ago at the Hollywood Show in Burbank and she was very friendly and very gracious to talk to. I had no idea about anything in this video! You'd never suspect it talking to her.
I do remember her from Silver Spoons -- but for me -- her most memorable role was as Layla -- Kenny Rogers' love interest in the movie Six-Pack -- I absolutely love, love, love that movie -- and I was just asking myself recently -- whatever happened to Erin Gray? Thanks for sharing! Peace!
Buck Rogers, The Fall Guy, T. J. Hooker, Dukes of Hazzaard. So many beautiful women in tv shows from my teen years.
You forgot Knight Rider, the A Team , Three's Company.

I had a crush on her character on Silver Spoons back in the day. Health and happiness to her and her family.
I loved Erin Gray in Silver Spoons!
I remember her more from silver spoons. Was never really a buck Roger's fan when I was younger. Maybe I should check it out now
We didn't have Buck Rogers here in Italy, at the time, so I fell in love with her on Silver Spoons. She had a bit of that "I know how stunning I am" attitude, but she combined it with a very honest look in her eyes, which made a perfect combination imho. After all, goddesses have to look somehow distant and unreachable, right? Best wishes to her and her family!
The perfume commercial she did years before Buck Rogers is one of my first memories not just of her but ever, I remember being 20 something in the early 90's and finding out she was pregnant in that commercial in a where are they now just like this
Always loved this girl! Saw her in magazines in the early 70's with that crop of models like Maud Adams, Lauren Hutton and others, while I was studying photography, composition, lightning and such. I always thought: Who's that girl? She's awesome! She's a babe! Then I saw her in commercials, bit parts and such and thought: who IS she!? I finally knew her name when she co-starred in "Evening in Byzantium" with Glen Ford; one of my favorite mini series, about a year or so before Buck Rogers. (Wish I could get a DVD copy of it!). Then I followed her career as best I could from there, as by that time I was a young filmmaker and paid attention to many actors in case I might be lucky enough to work with them one day. (And also because Erin has always been so gorgeous to look at!). Most recently I've seen her in a Cognium commercial, and as Admiral Gray in Vic Mignogna's excellent fan series "Star Trek Continues", which also sports a lineup of many other great guest stars. She remains a quite comely lady to this day. As an aside, we got our first TV in 1960 when I was 4, and I immediately cut my sci-fi teeth on the Buster Crabbe serials "Flash Gordon" and "Buck Rogers". That was my gateway, along with the George Reeves "Superman", Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, and the great (and the not so great) movies that ran on the weekends. Years later, it was a great fanboy moment for me when Mr Crabbe guest starred on the new show and told Gil, as the new Buck, "Young Man, I was doing this sort of thing before you were born!". Gil: "Oh, you think so old man?". Buster: "Young Man, I KNOW so!". Still gives me goosebumps to this day; awesome! And so is Erin Gray! Anyway, I'm proud to now own all three complete series in my collection. Now if anyone knows of Evening in Byzantium available out there, I would like to hear about it. So far, had no luck finding it in any video catalog or online. Would love a copy autographed by Erin herself! Happy watching, everybody!
Absolutely stunning ❤
Saddens me how old she looks. I had the biggest crush on her as a teenager and didn’t realize how fast time has gone by
Great story❤
She was great in Buck Rogers and Silver Spoons and she still is beautiful.
Wow what a beautiful and strong woman...sad to hear of all her abuse from all of the men in her own family not one of them were her hero's 😥 and I know the husband that came home from the Vietnam war obviously had his own nightmares and the government's at the time abandoned them all very sad indeed. I can only imagine his feeling empty inside after all of that senclessness of a "war" God help them and us all . The soldiers that go into these conflicts not being told the truth of what they are doing there . I digress... Poor wonderful lady she deserved much better from the men in her life.
How about her performance in "6 Pack" with Kenny Rogers?
Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪.

I actually liked her role in the Series 'Starman' when she played the role of Jenny. Unfortunately it was the last 2 episodes of the Series.
I remembered seen her when I was a kid, I fell in love with her!
She was my first crush. In her prime she looked better then most models and celebrities today.
Met her in Louisville, Ky, at i think a car show. It was during the TV show off time. There was a long line to get to meet her. So my brother and i stood off to the side just watching. Somehow, my brother made eye contact with her, and she surprised us by walking away from line and coming over to us. Well, she came over to my brother. They flirted with each other, and i was regulated to taking pictures. I must say she had on one of Buck Roger's outfits, and she was gorgeous . I hope my brother still has the pictures i took.
Her on-screen chemistry with co-star Gil Gerard added to the show's charm, though both denied any romantic involvement off-screen.
My favorite Erin Gray movie was The Six Pack with Kenny Rogers. That is one of my top 10 favorite movies. She has also been a celebrity guest at Dragon Con Convention in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. She is amazing.
I got her autograph at a Star Trek Convention. I was aFan of Buck Rogers. Season 2 was so bad - I tried to watch my DVD of it and gave up after 67 or 8 episodes. It was almost as bad as Lost in Space. Like the short dresses the female crew wore though. Remember when women actually had legs?
I remember her, so when I saw the Title to the Thumbnail I thought something happen to her??? What was the case to her disappearance? What did I miss in this video?
I've loved her from Buck Roger's and Silver Spoons. I do have an autographed picture 📸. Unfortunately I haven't met her. I've had some conversations with Gil And his wife. I do have a few autographed pieces from Gil.
Erin was and will always be a huge crush of mine
Buck Rogers was a great show & Erin was fantastic..
All but tweety, couldn’t get past that head of his. Looked like a fern pecker.
As a teenager in the 70’s I was greatly interested / attracted to Erin … mostly from the buck rogers show. I thought she was beautiful and sexy as hell! Her outfits were always my most favorite color -Tight !! 😂
She was awesome.
"The sad strange disappearance" ??? I didn't get that in the video.
She was awesome, i loved her growing up
I remember Erin Gray from Buck Rogers what a beauty a young boys crush for sure.
She was always such a beautiful woman
I saw her in "Silver Spoons"!
I love ERIN GRAY
Misleading Video title.
I watched buck rogers in the 80s just to see Erin.
My favorite story about Erin Gray that popped up years ago...Was that her son was in high school and they knew Erin Gray was his mother,so they would playfully tease him by saying bee bee bee, which was the robots catch on the show Buck Rogers.
I will have to agree ... she was the only reason why I watched the show.
Am I missing something? It says she was abused at home by her father and step father but then goes on to say how they helped her by teaching her how to reach her subconcious through writing and using the left hand. Was this misread or misheard?
I was 8-10 when buck rogers aired. I liked it all but her in the first season were my favorite. I am sure I didn't know why I liked it but I definitely liked it.
Yes I met Erin 3 times and she was always sweet and engaging
I remember her.
She looks great. An awesome actress 👏
met her at a Comic Book show many years with Fatass Gil Gerard - he was a rude prick, and she was fabulously sweet and kind.....as well as absolutely gorgeous!
one of my childhood crushes :)
Last time I saw her she was teaching yoga in Balboa park in the valley. Living her best life! Still beautiful!
CLICKBAIT
I’m a big fan
I loved her and six pack with Kenny Rogers
I love her on. Silver spoons and Friday the 13th part 9
Math! Did she only learn one equation?
It's plural my friend. Maths. 👍😀
Season 2 of Buck Rogers was a mess thanks to the writer’s strike
What a classic beauty!
i think im in love ❤
Saw Erin on an episode of Silk Stalkings after she had implant surgery. Sad she felt she had to get silicone to continue to get roles.
I remember her from both shows
A woman doesn’t need huge fake lips. She is a natural beauty.
amen to that. The giant lip thing looks more like a deformity than cosmetic surgery.
That “muting” she talked about as a coping mechanism for trauma is called dissociation.
Beautiful woman ♥️
She is and always will be gorgeous
I remember growing up and watching Buck Rogers and it was my favorite science fiction TV show of all time only followed by Star Trek the Original Series but Star Trek the Next Generation was really my thing and then sliders Battlestar Galactica and then the movie Stargate and that encompasses all of the greatest Sci-Fi movies from myself as I was a child growing up. And yes as a young boy I had a massive massive crush on Aaron gray she was super smart super sexy super beautiful super hot super amazing super awesome super awesome. Sure wish we could have a real Buck Rogers reboot but somehow someway I know Disney would probably buy it and destroy it like they've done literally anything and everything else they bought in touch
Her, Lynda Carter and Jane Seymour were my all time childhood crushes. ❤
I remember first seeing her on rockford files.
Yeh I really enjoyed her in Buck Rodgers, kinda had a krush on her But she was good ine Movie Six Pack too.
She was the only reason I watched Buck Roger's.
Ok....where's the sad and strange part???
She is so beautiful inside and outside.
Met her at Comic-Con she is as nice as she is beautiful
Was quite an attraction for a 14, 15 year old when appearing on TV especially on Buck Rogers.
I had such a huge crush on her.
She was so pretty. I liked her on the episode of Magnum PI when she was a security expert.
I KNEW I recognized the lady from The Guild last two season. Vork lol
I never watched Buck Roders, but she was a knockout.
Col. Deering is the kind of character that the woke say they want, when what they really want is a trans Mary Sue. I look back at the 70's and think about how diverse things were without anything being forced. TV, film, and music all had various influences from various cultures and it was cool.
i just knew her from the BUG ROGERS MOVIE, just decades later the follow up show cam to public Germanic TV but by then I, honestly had lost interest in her as an actor or as a person
She was very sweet Smart Beautiful human being
I watched to see Erin and whatever she was wearing that week
Silver spoons days awesome time!
All I can remember about Erin Grey on the show Silverspoons is that she was amazingly sexy heavenly angel! Jim Greszczuk ❤️
The vampire episode.
“Bison-TEN-ee-um” 😅✌️
Erin gray's grey🙄 wow me to
Wilma Deering was a great character, especially in the first movie length episode, shame the second series took away a lot of the characters power.
Buck Rogers, And Silver Spoons.
Erin Gray has a lovely round derriere !!!!!!!!!!
