Randy, all 4 of your latest buys are real SCORES! As far as the Tiburon goes, if you are getting enough views on YT, then fix it up just a little more before moving it on. If not, just move it now. It’s a shame you could not hook up with another OKC retail car dealer who would take your cars and give them another home around town. Hail, even if you could just break even that way, the YT revenue would still make it profitable. That would be better than losing money running them through IAA. I wish you nothing but the best, young man. You deserve it! 👍
Call me Crazy! It'll Always be a Plymouth. I know she's a rebadged Mitsu, but thanks to Diamond Star Motors, which was right here in Illinois, it's an American car!! That's my Story and I'm Sticking to It!!❤😊😊
Im broke and honestly if I wasn't I still wouldn't own nor care for a new car im infatuated with 90s and early 2000 vehicles never cared what people think of me
I'm working on a 97 5 speed manual with 200k. Been in the family since 97. I have done a lot of repairs to remake. Still so fun to drive. No car note and cheap insurance. Love the vids
In Europe this car was called Hyundai Coupé. It was a really nice vid and engaging your son in this adventures will be on his memories with you forever 👍
Randy, it was nice to see Nick again, what a big help to you and what a great kid. I would fix the dent and paint the handle on the Hyundai and then clean the headlights and replace the burned out lights. After that send it though the auction. The car does deserve that. Thanks Randy for great content.
Change the gear oil and gear filter in the mitsubishi station wagon and she will be Allright. ITS just that the ATF DOTIII and the gear filter have never been replaced or take out the filter clean it with patrol and reinstall it with new ATF DOTIII. These are bomb proof transmissions
I gotta say I am still strangely attracted to that Colt. LOL. Cool that the Tibby was able to be fixed so cheap. Awesome to see your boy out there learning and getting dirty with you. The world needs more of that. Take care.
I always remove the air intake filter. In your case, removing air box gives access to the slave cylinder and requires 9nlyan extension rod for tge socket tools. Great job though!
If it was the Genesis Coupe, I could see it. But I will say Tiburon's listed on Autotempest are like 10-11k. So thats up to you. But seriously look at Auto Tempest prices. Nick is a great kid. My kids have no interest in working on cars. So it's nice to have that bonding with him.
That's really one hell of a nice ol' F One Fitty. It has to be a one-of-one. Must have marked every option on the order form but on an XL trim instead of an XLT. I agree, lose the headache rack, get it cut and buffed and it's a time capsule.
I was impressed with your aligning the trailer hitch up, that was good. I bet Nick would love you to give him that Hyundai, sure sounds like Nick likes that car. Nick is going to need a car and that Hyundai is a good looking car.
I wouldn't worry about the people giving you side eye for driving that Plymouth Colt Vista. There are dudes who drive old beaters like that and have stacks of money in the bank. Smart people put all their miles on A to B beaters like that and leave their new cars in the garage. That way the A to B beaters get dents and dings and scratches and the wear on the engine while your new car stays in pristine condition.
If there are loose leaves under those plants next to the pool it will help to rake all that out from the winter. Nick helping you reminds me of the Swamp Boys channel. Too Cool..😎
Since it is a Mitsubishi, cross reference which ones used the same trans, a dip stick for a more recent Mits (Lancer maybe?) might be easier to find. #2, pick up one at an auto parts store, drain and refill trans with proper amount of fluid. Mark the stick with cold mark. Drive it for 30 min, check fluid, and mark for hot. For now, add 1/2 quart of fluid in case it is low? In fact, I have an 01 Mirage, if it is the same trans, I can get a dip stick make it the same length, and put marks on it for cold and hot, and send it to you. Mine is the 1.8 engine.
FYI Higher octane lowers the detonation of the gas it is for higher compression engines your wasting money on putting it in a regular car. To prevent knocking. In other words, octane doesn't enhance combustion - it prevents the air-fuel mixture inside an engine from igniting before it's supposed to. The higher a fuel's octane, the more resistant it is to knocking.
Thanks Randy you are so good with the boys. You allow then to help which so such a confidence boost for them and sure it brings you pleasure to know they want to help. Lucky break with that Cop.
Randy that was funny 😄 when you said people look at me like I am broke 😂😂 Thanks I needed that today I was having a terrible day and you made me laugh 👍
Get a quote from Maaco before you decide. Nick seems like a fine young man and the Tiburon would be a great starter car for him. Great video, as usual. 🖖🙏🇨🇦
Randy if there is no crease in the rear quarter I would try getting a small plunger and use a blow dryer to heat the panel up a little then stick the plunger on there and give it a few pulls that little dent should pop right out
It's nothings wrong with buying an old or cheap car man...it was more importan you got most experient of it...well done randy and salut for young boy nick...👏...stay healthy for your family...from indonesia🙋
Those old doors spring a little on the top corners. Especially the drivers door due to years of being opened and closed from that top corner. Grab it at the top corner and where it meets the body of the door and push in until it stops leaking.
You guys should get one of those automatic roller tops that automatically go over the pool whenever you want it. We had one and it was fantastic. Whenever bad weather was coming I would just close it and then there was no pool cleaning after the storms.
A little quirky "core memory" is the sound of the blue ford truck door opening. It has a very particular sound of your thumb pushing in the button, the latch releasing, and pulling the door open in a fraction a second. Anyone else hear that? That body style ran for so long, everybody had one, or knew someone who did.
Now if you drove that Colt here in New Zealand, you'd have people coming over to you asking where you managed to find a Mitsubishi Chariot after all these years. Since we had so many, they would all have a story about raising their families/ carrying firewood/ running a lawnmowing business with one. We imported large amounts of JDM Chariots through the different models. They were the die-hard people mover/ work wagon in NZ. I still think you'll find a dipstick here somewhere :-) We also have Tiburons but the Veloster took over since it's quicker
Hi Randy - OK - so the forklift puts marks, chips paint, splits open a flex bumper, and even dents underneath. The forklifts need some HD rubber protectors molded to the horizontal forks, and HD rubber overladen with a thick rug-type cover where the car's bumper touches the vertical part of the forklift. This should take care of most of the "damage by moving" that happens before the new owner takes it. @TK's Garage @TK'sGarage @Auto Auction Rebuilds @AutoAuctionRebuilds
I would give it a good detail and sort out the bumper and handle lights little things. Run it through the auction and you will get a good return on it for sure. Awesome repair tutorial to know about.
Appreciate it I’m learning watching you 12:15 am on a Monday have school in a few hours but, I watched to other video when you picked it up and I’ve learned when a shifter in a manual not shifting properly like it’s supposed to, the slave cylinder needs to be changed, put fluid in the new one then bleed it 5 times when installed until no bubbles and install it and sweet shifting should be happening like when you got back in the car.... wow that’s a crazy deal for the amp you got it 😳✅
My Dart had the internal clutch slave with the genius design of using the master cylinder reservoir for fluid. $1800 at the dealership. I traded it for an Outback.
Man Buy a S U P E R C A R .................. Get anything super stop buying Junk
Stop watching
Randy specializes in so-called “junk” and he puts them back on the road. Watch another channel if you don’t enjoy it like the rest of us.
Stfu he is doing great for "just buying junk."
Don’t watch if u don’t like it lmfao
There's other channels you can go watch then, see ya bud 👋

Nick did great. What a great bonding moment. Great family teamwork. You are truly blessed Randy.
Love when nick helps. Your a good dad/step dad. That Hyundai will make a great car
The Colt seems like a good car to start teaching Nick how to drive. He seems like a great young man that won't do anything he shouldn't do.
Man i am 13 and i learned how to drive when i was 12 and i learned on the stickshift.
Man, I don't care what anyone says, that Colt is a cool, unique car. Something about the 80's Japanese styling is just so neat
Yeah it is
Call me Crazy! It'll Always be a Plymouth. I know she's a rebadged Mitsu, but thanks to Diamond Star Motors, which was right here in Illinois, it's an American car!! That's my Story and I'm Sticking to It!!❤😊😊

I love watching these old car finds. I'm amazed on how Randy can get these cars running and looking good.
What a good doggo, she's worried that Rosie is drowning
I don't know who has more fun in a car wash, Randy or my 8 year old niece :-) Good for you man, enjoy life!
Great content Randy!

That Plymouth is cool! It's a Colt Classic!
17:17 it’s a whole a lot easier taking the air box out, but you got it.👍😂
see if you can find an old Nissan Pulsar in your Copar hunts or an old K car
Nick has a great future, with that kind of attention to detail.
In reconditioning a car. It is a real art to know when to stop!
Cheers
I gotta say I am still strangely attracted to that Colt. LOL. Cool that the Tibby was able to be fixed so cheap. Awesome to see your boy out there learning and getting dirty with you. The world needs more of that. Take care.
Nick is an awesome kid. Good to see him start wrenching on his own. Good video.
Thanks for the amazing videos you put up for us to watch. It’s a great distraction from the stresses of life. Your son is adorable. 🥰
I always remove the air intake filter. In your case, removing air box gives access to the slave cylinder and requires 9nlyan extension rod for tge socket tools. Great job though!
Great job to teach Nick how to...remembers me when i was young and helped my Father... keep it up guys..

whats the cost to do it all compared to the differeence in selling prices currently and fixed

Awesome randy. Keep up ur great work
Maybe move the pond pipe along the fence to the other side of the gate.
I love the dashboard display of Hyundai. I should say very bright which is very very important for driving at night.
I don’t think you coulda done it without nick! Great kid.
I was impressed with your aligning the trailer hitch up, that was good. I bet Nick would love you to give him that Hyundai, sure sounds like Nick likes that car. Nick is going to need a car and that Hyundai is a good looking car.
Send it off like it is along with buffing out the front bumper and a good detail.

That Colt would make a hilarious sleeper with an SRT4 powertrain and good suspension.
You could probably put in a DSM powertrain though.
@95Chevy Heavy everything on the planet does not have to have an LS engine!

That sound takes me back to the 80’s when I mowed yards for a living! 😂😂
Gotta feel good to fil up that cheap ! Here in Vancouver the gas price is 4.63 us/gal for just regular gas 😤

Cool video again Randy Lad 👍🇬🇧
Hey Randy, The gas club gas good gas as well. Should think about stopping there. Pretty good gas.
Nice work handy Randy
Nick is a good kid Randy, you're blessed. Send the Hyundai back through the auction as is.
Lol at 6:07 I thought Randy's mower was running, it was the Colt!
Randy that was funny 😄 when you said people look at me like I am broke 😂😂 Thanks I needed that today I was having a terrible day and you made me laugh 👍
Send it to Auto Spa LLC for a detail. Have the bumper blown in with paint by one of those mobile guys.
Then “Down the Road Motors”
Cheers
I dig that truck man 🤘
I love that old Ford truck and I can't stand the color blue.
Randy, there are a lot of Eclipses in the junkyards and a lot of them were automatics so the dipstick should work for the Vista.
Get a quote from Maaco before you decide. Nick seems like a fine young man and the Tiburon would be a great starter car for him. Great video, as usual. 🖖🙏🇨🇦

Randy, take the Hyundai to MACO and let them give you a bare bones estimate! Fixit if cheap enough. Repaired will then bring you top dollar!!!
I keep telling you you need have a screen enclosure over your pool, best thing I ever did for my pool.
Those old doors spring a little on the top corners. Especially the drivers door due to years of being opened and closed from that top corner. Grab it at the top corner and where it meets the body of the door and push in until it stops leaking.

nick came in just in time!
Dude thanks for the hardwork youre putting into making content for us to watch.
U are lucky gas is Wisconsin is 3.69 for regular
Can you get a fiberglass repair kit for the bumper and DIY it? Is the fork damage very bad?
Use the RainX headlight cleaner, you will love the way it works.
Turtle wax is much better...
Send it out as-is, unless you are doing a wild color paint job and throwing rims on it. Nice car, but content well may be dry 🤷🏿♂️

Perfect car for Nick ❤️

Love my Hyundai Tib, 08 so looks the same as this one but black, such a nice car to look at and runs like a champ
Liking the blue dash. I put blue switches and a blue stereo in my (UK) 2001 Ford Mondeo MK3.
Good job Nick!!!
Always an Adventure. Nick is an Awesome kid👍
Randy - update on the electric BMW?
Great fix and video, like all the cars and the truck😎😃
Cute dog too🥰

Love how you spent all that time with the colt first. Lol
Also good job nick
Nice seeing u and nick working again together
Scrub the marks on the bumper with a magic eraser should take the marks right off
The Colt is retro and cool!
I can’t believe nick was behind the camera did a good job.
Hey Randy go to your local wrecking yard and look for a Mitsubishi galant it should be the same trans dip stick
Idk about where you are Randy but here where I’m from we put a tarp over the pool overnight to keep stuff out of and to keep some heat
Is there anyway to pipe up a drain to drain that water
Love the old ford truck. Would buy it in a heart beat
Awesome video but even better you got Nick helping you. Start them young.
My Dart had the internal clutch slave with the genius design of using the master cylinder reservoir for fluid. $1800 at the dealership. I traded it for an Outback.
randy you save a lot of vehicles that probably would go to the crusher that just need minor parts! keep up the good work
Love the tiburons glad shes up in rocking, there dam dependable cars mines at 140k runs like a top
Another great video Randy
Dude your soo much more happier at your new house and are enjoying your garage.
Find some car lots to buy the cars. Maybe get bids on them.
