I have more respect for him than any other living musician and his documentary on schubert is my favourite music documentary and a master piece in itself. Andras is very very special. He's an absolute gentleman and his insights are second to none. Every single word he said in the schubert documentary I was in full agreement with. He's a modest man. No ego at all. He's the humblest musician, almost awkward when he speaks to the audience. He's a gift to the world of music and will live forever.

If there is one thing about Andras Schiff's playing that pianists should aspire to accomplish, it is his gentle and relaxed touch of the keyboard. Watching him play, I feel like an ape banging away at the keys in comparison.

If it makes you feel better you are both apes, he's just doing less banging.

Not just inspired playing, Maestro Schiff is completely rethinking the layout of classical music concerts by combining works by two great composers according to key signatures, then dividing the concert into three parts. Really exceptional work, in all respects.

Maestro Schiff really crafts his recitals as a journey through tonalities and thematic relations🎶 And I really love that in the recent years he as embraced this new “narrative-approach”!

Extraordinary concert - brilliant really. Very illuminating to hear these two masters juxtaposed with the key signature relationships. Thank you Andres Schiff and Wigmore Hall!
