Idk, saying luffy will get a new power is like the basics of this kind of anime, and considering how many characters there are I think it's almost inevitable that famous myth and legends will inspire some of them. Nine crew members is not too far from their number in this chapter, and being a small number it makes sense that most of them should have a role to be considered part of the crew ( It would probably be weirder if there were crew members with absolutely no purpose). With this I'm not saying that she's not analysing enough/correctly, but that there's an astrolgy-like effect going on, where she says things that can be interpreted in many ways and people who know things are connecting the dots in a way that make them see what they want to see.

This has been an eye opener as to what the average iq of the average op fan is Even without an expansive background in literature, knowledge of traditional symbols alone is enough to kind of come to a lot a points she has come to. I've seen friends say similar things and a lot of what they concluded mostly came from the symbolism in the story and the real world lore oda is retelling. I love the series and the fact that theyre sharing her input but honestly nothing that she's saying is necessarily ground breaking or revolutionary. Odas storytelling is lost on most of us but that's fine as it's very easy to like op even if you only understand it at a surface level

i hope this hits the algorithm of every person who picked up one piece in the last month and are working their way through it like me. this series has a great format with it's in depth arc by arc discussion, but the visual element of watching a piece of art come together over the course of an hour is also satisfying and makes it unique.
It’s funny how some people automatically categorize others by their occupation and not by the individual. As if a math teacher wouldn’t know how to teach other subjects or something. i hope this hits the algorithm of every person who picked up one piece in the last month and are working their way through it like me. this series has a great format with it's in depth arc by arc discussion, but the visual element of watching a piece of art come together over the course of an hour is also satisfying and makes it unique.

After a certain level of knowledge, you come realize that every discipline are connected and worked in conjunction with each other on a fundamental level
