As a happy owner of M9 Ultra. Your reviews hit the points spot on. But guess what... I take the most out of this screen by using it as a curtain for my daily nap at noon... it works soooo well at blocking the sun hahahahaha
I think the reason it is in high demand is that it has real luxury that people can enjoy, but it does not scream luxury from the outside. Low prifile wealth in vogue right now in China, in sharp contrast to great gatsby style ostentatious displays from decades early
What’s incredible about Aito M9 is there’s nothing really wrong to it. And it is a really well built large SUV in general. Therefore it has become the most well selling above 60K USD car in China (16000+ in June alone). Out-selling same class competitor two or even three times fold.

The only problem is the warranty is given by Aito, not Seres and not Huawei. So basically Aito can disappear next year and the customers are f.cked

This car also have another feature that no other car has, that is sound privacy for second row seats. when this privacy mode is on, the driver cannot hear any conversation in the second row, by cancelling out sound waves
Kinda “cancels” that feature out being a Huawei. It’s def listening to EVERYTHING.

When I was in China in Nov 2023, I saw the M9 in the Huawei stores and sat in it. A very comfy car. Even saw a group of Russians looking at it

The projector screen is used like the chauffeur partition. You’d use it as a barrier between your driver and yourself
High frequences are very important in my music rich with instruments. I like to clearly hear my bagpipes, organ, hurdy-gurdy, etc.

In China, this car is called Wenjie M9. It has good sales, with nearly 20,000 units delivered each month. The price is about 600,000 yuan. It is very smart, safe, luxurious and cheap.

I bought one, I must say it bring the woderful driving experiences compare with my before X5 ,althought it look big size, when you drive it , like the the elephone with wings. swiftly. but until now, I donot enjoy the second line king seat one time.
The wood in mercedes Is from the creeky meadow so that's a good thing that its not the same❤😂

The third row of seats can be hidden. If you hide it, it will be a four-seater car with large trunk space.

You’re telling me that little projector screen is 32”? The one in the back of my i7 is 31” and stretches from one side to the other of the car. Hard to believe that screen is actually bigger.

You touched on the sound system, is it good? How does it compare to say an, Xpeng G9/X9 or Nio ES8? I think 30 mins is about right between 20-30 is 👌 love seeing these Chinese vehicles, we're slowly getting more here in the UK, I'm sure we'll never see this one though due to the Huawei links! "Jungyong", that's the word I need in my vocabulary. Every time I make a comment about SOME Chinese cars looking bland, looking like they're trying to please everyone, I get jumped on. I'm not dissin' the manufacturer, I'm just saying it's "Jungyong", like a Camry 😅

Less torque probably because in a pinch the electricity on the EREV can feed the motors from both the battery and generator. More current may result in more torque. But that's just a speculation.
The rear of this in side profile has an eerily similar form to the Mercedes GLS. Even the rear 3/4 view.

appreciate the lengthy video but could you also change your cameras to something like a flagship smartphone? The shallow depth of field blurs the car or parts being discussed and there are multiple camera focus issues under 12min of watching.
car is alright but does not stand out to existing MVPs and SUVs in this segment. I'm wary of that huge glass screen, high risk of damage, expensive and part availability is poor

It is a very smart strategy by Chinese government to standardize vehicle tech, essentially creating something like Bosch(ony Huawei), so that all the manufacturers can benefit.
As far as I know there are at least 3 automatic drive system in Chinese market, Huawei(3-4 companiez make the cars), Baidu (Geely makes the car), and Saike Intelligence (Shanghai Auto makes the car).
Interior is excellent, BUT the front headlights and back lights need a MAJOR upgrade in style, from the outside it looks like a Chinese version of the London Taxi.
The London taxi is already Chinese. So....

For the big price I rather have a big oled or LCD screen even if it's little bit smaller or even if you loose headroom or that others option like you said about screen on the back

Absolutely I liked
I wouldn't agree with the ride quality though~ I think M9 beats L9 by a lot
I hope one day to see a manufacturer make a truly cyberpunk\steampunk car. Not like Tesla's disaster but something that's actually functional and cool. Cyberpunk influenced styling on the outside, and steampunk influence on the inside. Hyundai N vision meets old school Rolls Royce interior. Edgy on the outside, classy with real materials, dials, button, levers inside. No LCD screens or plastic. Hitech inside but doesn't look high tech. Like the Nautilus sub in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I just got out of hospital so that may explain some things about this post.

If you know anything about the automotive industry then you know there’s plenty of Chinese cars that are questionable and Huawei is considered the Samsung of China in terms of reputation and product. I'm not particular about car looks, (I drive a people mover/mini van) but this car struck me as a cross between an older London black cab and a modern hearse. 😂
