- Hello,
This is just the fun bits from the much longer video I did, cutting out the town and motorway clips, to concentrate on what the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is really like on the open roads.
I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I did.
Thanks for Watching !

I've ridden an XJR 1300 for the last 11 years, thinking of downsizing. The fun you have on this bike makes it very tempting. Thanks for your continued enthusiasm.
Oh it would be so different…..you have to be in the right gear, otherwise it bogs down, but so much fun playing with the gearbox, even dropping down when we don’t need too 🫣😂. Thanks for your support.
Enfield have nailed it with this beauty
Definitely 😎….very “un-Enfield” in the way it rides and feels, which has traditionalist’s crying 🙄, what a machine 👍 Cheers
I haven't heard a bad word said about this bike.
Bingley wheeler blown away and, as with you, it's now on his list of bikes where he had nothing to say about it
Looks like another winner for Royal Enfield 😂
Thanks for the ride mate.
When I watched Dave’s review after I did my long one, I couldn’t wait to see if his opinion was similar to mine, though I couldn’t imagine it would be any different really. It’s a great bike. Roger (the dealer), said I can take it out for a day when I want to. So hopefully sometime around mid September 🤞Glad you enjoyed it, Cheers
Definitely brings out the “naughty boy” Ian 😂 looks like you were having fun with it, it would appear that they have hit the sweet spot, light, nimble and enough power to be fun, that’s a recipe to make you giggle and we all need that from time to time, start saving buddy 👍
Thanks Mike, it’s certainly fun 😂
You Ian, speechless, never. I can see the old wallet coming out soon and a new bike coming to the channel. Bring it on.
Working on it Ian, believe me 🤞😂
I thoroughly enjoyed that ride with you.
Thank you, it’s a great bike. Ownership is very rewarding……..smiles per mile are priceless 😎
Just as good viewing the second time! Clearly a fun bike 👍👍
Thanks Gap. I made this video for my benefit really, as I didn’t want to keep having to scroll through the boring bits 🙄😂
@@ianhughesroyalenfield It worked out well!
Great video Ian, one of the few UA-cam testers that can actually get a wriggle on, love it mate, keep the good work up,me thinks you want one,😊😂
Thanks Kenneth, I do like to be naughty occasionally 😈😂, but not silly so 😉. If I can get the finances sorted, there will definitely be one joining Clementine 😎
It's the sound that matters 😊 thanks for the mention Ian xx
Only fair James 😉 Imagine it with a “naughty” can on, it would sing 🎶 😎
@@ianhughesroyalenfield 😆
Just a cracking little bike with some pep to boot Ian , have you ridden the Triumph to compare it would be very interesting to see . I reckon this could possibly knock the Speed 400 of top spot next year in this class 👌👍 enjoyed again.
Thanks Mal. I haven’t ridden the Speed yet, but a wonderful subscriber has offered to let me loose on his Speed 400, so it will hopefully happen next month 🤞. I have asked him to put a few miles on it first 😉 Cheers
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Excellent !! Look forward to that one Ian 👍
This bike gave you a lease of life and pep that is priceless…by all accounts a great machine, and exceptionally good value. I can see these going up in price though
Morning. Mr TAYM mentioned that the baby Triumph’s have increased in price, I hope the Guerrilla doesn’t follow the same🤞. Amazing value as it is 👍
@@ianhughesroyalenfieldYeah but that is Triumph we are talking about. RE are a totally different company that have respect for their customers.
👍
I took one out for a test ride I am 6 ft tall loved it
It’s so amazing Stephen, I only went and bought one 😎 Cheers
Beautiful lanes on a great bike! Too gratifying!
Absolutely 😎
Yes, the replay was as much fun as the original, Ian. 👍 I strongly suspect that one might be joining your stable at some point soon. 😉
Thanks Chris, yes at some point 🤞
Thanks ro your review @ianhughesroyalenfield i test rode the guerrilla 450 and bought a playa black on my return luckily still available in Appleyards. Keep up the good work buddy 👍
Wow Dave, that’s brilliant. Should I consider myself to be an “influencer” now 🤔🫣😂 Thank you.
great review thanks
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Morning Ian 😊 I've even started to like the filler being on the right 👍
Morning James, really don’t notice it, especially when being “on one” 😈😂
@@ianhughesroyalenfield I've been on one just didn't go anywhere 🤣🤣🤣
Royal Enfield really are on a winning streak , I have an interceptor 650 and a classic 350 , and this could be on the cards to join the pair
@timboharty7325 I used to have the same, but sold the Interceptor as it wasn’t getting used enough. It went to finance our caravan 🙄😂
@@ianhughesroyalenfield I am in the same position, Im very lucky to now live in southern Austria ( formerly from Kent) and the 350 is the perfect bike for the twisty mountain roads , but I used the inter last week when a mate was visiting and he rode the classic , and I fell in love with the inter again , I’ll never sell it as it shares a garage with some classic Hondas , 2 stroke Suzukis and an MV Augusta that’s as old as me ! , keep up the great work , your channel will just keep growing , I have a channel on UA-cam Timbo Harty @timboharty7325 if you fancy seeing what Austria is like , cheers,
Very spirited riding Ian.... you're liking it, for sure. It's a bit tall for me, I'm a short arse.
Thank you, I do enjoy getting a wriggle on occasionally, still life in the old hooligan 😂. That’s a shame 😢 Have you tried one for size ? I am 5ft 9” with a 30” inside leg, stopping at junctions with both feet flat and slightly bent knees.
Just for a minute, Ian, I thought you had been out on another test ride ....... wouldn't blame you 😁 All things being equal, I pick mine up a week tomorrow (Playa Black) ...... I'll keep you posted. Cheers for now, Phil (Somerset)
Sorry for the disappointment Phil, though Roger has said I can go on an all day ride, which I am really looking forward to 😎. Do you have a countdown timer set in constant view ? I would 😂
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Too right!! Problem is though, the timer seems to run slower and slower the more I look at it ☹Yes, Ian, go for an all day ride and post the video ......... please 😊 The weather seems to be improving over the next week or so and I can't get enough of Guerrilla videos. Unfortunately, most of them are in Indian and I even struggle with English 😁Cheers, Phil
@PAGallagher 😂, sorry Phil, it won’t be until mid September at the earliest, as we are home now (95 miles away), and you will have yours well before then 🥳
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Well, on the up side, it'll give me more time to watch the 'countdown' for mine 😁😁
@PAGallagher 😂😂😂
She is one gorgeous looking motorcycle Ian.
70 is just over 5k; Enfield have certainly upped the performance compared to the 411; luv it
Totally chalk and cheese, can’t really compare to the 411. The 450 is a brilliant engine, and with the remapped ecu, the Guerrilla is wicked 😈😂 Cheers
Second viewing , Yes a bike you can use all of its capabilities.Perhaps i need a second viewing of the Guerilla. albeit if believe its heavier (48 LBS) than my Hunter. Ride safe bfn Mike Sunny wales.
Morning Mike. I cheated a bit with this video, as I was fed up of skipping through the boring bits to get to the lanes, thought others might feel the same way 😂. Definitely think slightly bigger Hunter, but the increase in enjoyment (for me anyway) is enormous. That’s not to say it won’t do slower stuff, but it really needs to be in the right gear, otherwise it bogs down, whereas the 350’s just pull through. All the best.
The hunter NEEDS DNA stage 2 air filter. I was surprised on mine what difference it makes.
….but it still won’t be close to the Guerrilla 😉😂😎
What an enjoyable video, well done. Out of interest did you notice the MPG when riding spiritedly?
To be honest Tim, I didn’t. It’s not something I have ever bothered with, but rest assured, next time out, (yes we will be taking it out again), I will have a look, as I appreciate it is important to others. Cheers
What an excellent re-visit video Ian. 👏😌. I think l know the answer but.... this or the Shotgun? 🤔 Regards, Mo 😊👍
This all day long Mo, just for the fun factor. The Shogun is a really great bike, but for what I want, it has to be the Guerrilla. 😎 Cheers
@ianhughesroyalenfield l guessed right 😄👍. May your dreams soon come true sir! Cheers lan. 😊
Hi Ian, you’re clearly getting one 😉 as you’ll have your finger on the pulse so to speak, have you heard of any reliability issues with the new Sherpa engine on the new Himalayan ? I haven’t myself, I’m thinking of something new for next spring based on this engine.
I haven’t heard/seen any issues regarding the mechanicals on the 450’s, only niggles with people struggling to get the tft screen to connect to their phones, and one Himi 450 owner finding an issue with the fuel gauge.
that seems to be a right little rip snorter , , better looking than the new himo ;;
Thanks Simon, it is. They do different things, but that same motor in the Guerrilla, with its 17” wheels, altered ecu and gearing…oooooo 😎😂
The Guerrilla or the Himalayan? Looks like the Himalayan was more practical and sensible...but it looks like you had a lot more fun on the Guerrilla!
The Guerrilla for me, as I can comfortably flat foot on both feet, plus I don’t do off road. Also, the different mapping gives a more “exciting” ride. The Himi would probably be better for touring though, but I don’t do that either. Cheers
Sounds like your thoughts match mine...off to test ride the Guerilla today...thanks Ian!
Hope you have fun………what am I saying……of course you will have fun 😎😂
Seriously considering one of these
Test ride seriously recommend 😉😎
I know its old hat but give it twin clocks, chrome and non offset tank. I want to love RE but cant. Lovely review though.
I think the single clock looks ok, except being off set. Suits its style ! The tank filler just doesn’t bother me at all, which is a bit odd in itself 😂. I think the Bear (latest video), would look better with twin clocks though.
You know it's a good bike when get to turn off to go back to bike 🏍 shop & keep on going.
Also did that guy not indicate turning right when you say "The brakes are good".
I really didn’t want to take it back RR. Yes, the chap did indicate, but I wasn’t expecting him to flash the red car out…..someone with my years of experience should have seen that one coming 😉
You're a f*ing diamond Ian
Thank you, nice of you to say so 😎
Yes but if you had the money, this baby or the new Himalayan 450?????
Morning Ian, with any hesitation, it would be the Guerrilla. Reasons being ; I can flat foot with ease, I don’t do off road, and I don’t do touring (which the Himi would do better in my opinion, though obviously, you can tour on anything).
Brilliant thank you Ian, I want a bike in under 500 range dropping from my NC750x and this looks the baby. Wouldn't mind a screen and topbox and sorted. Thank you, great reviews 👏👏👏👏
@ianjames3218 happy to help, but as always, what suits me, may not suit you, so highly recommend that you have a blast on one yourself to make sure it fits 😉 Let me know how you get on 👍
I certainly will do and yes I will, thank you
Clearly the Guerilla if you don't want to go heavy off road. I will change my modified Hunter for this next year.
I hate that letting cars out of junctions when the rules of the road are that the car leaving the major road has right of way, it causes so many accidents, stupid. You're not doing anyone any favours, you're just confusing the situation.
Indeed, though with all my years experience, I should have expected it really, but the adrenaline was up 😂😂 Cheers
I think when you're filtering on the nearside you're obscured from the incoming car so it's up to you to allow them to proceed.
@girlinagale you are more than likely right, no harm done 😉
@@ianhughesroyalenfield It's similar to boating - even if you have the right of way, you're obliged to avoid a collision in any case.
@girlinagale My wife and I lived on narrowboats for 8 years 😉
Think you need one in your life Ian, sooner rather than later. Have you thought about setting up a "Go fund me" page?😉🤔🤣🤣👍
😂 thanks Jonathan. If you look closely, there is a “Thanks” button between “Share” and “Download”, where lovely, kind viewers can donate, a bit like “buy me a coffee”. I haven’t promoted it as I don’t want people to think I’m begging, but it’s there anyway 😂
