😆😆😆😁😁😃🙈
@Owl Recon 😆😆😆😂😂😂😂😂🙈🙈🤦🏻♀️
Lol I wonder if she has hens inside too
the lil clucks made this video even better
she is calling for a roo. city people dont know that!
@@hard-truthsbetter-than-swe6543 what's a roo??
@@hard-truthsbetter-than-swe6543 rooster? I just looked it up. 🤗 but she's cute!

Your apartment must be like an oasis in the dead on NYC winters! In LOOOOOOOOOOVE with your plants!!!
😂😍
Yes but I wonder how expensive the heat is to keep her plants healthy!!
@@cutiepiedaina I bet she saves on ac in the summer to compensate, though. The plants so close to that window probably cool her apartment just like trees cool a house.
@@ajesusencounter8261 Yeah, sadly, that's not how it works lol
I love the sounds the chicken is making in the background!
Please don't ever stop doing what you are doing! Please! The quality of the material you discuss is extraordinary and detailed. I love your road trips and all of the plants you discuss and show us. You are a true collector's dream come true! Please keep up the great work you do for the rest of us plant freaks!
14 ft height on 10 ft ceilings. Summer's green thumb is so good its literally crashing into the neighbors apartment upstairs.
Well, at this point it's more length then hight, it grows along the ceiling because it's too tall
„This is the moment
Tonight is the night, we'll fight 'til it's over
So we put our hands up like the ceiling can't hold us
Like the ceiling can't hold us“
Ur chicken is so vocal. Lol.
She's lonely and looking for company :(
Love watching these old episodes with your beloved chicken.
I love how your chick has something to tell all the time during the video
Yes that is cute. She feels relaxed to.
Hey Summer, your apartment is amazing! I've been watching your videos and seen no signs in your plants of low humidity. How do you keep the humidity so great in an indoor living space, without attracting damp or mould? Is it just a well-situated apartment or do you do anything specific? Many thanks!
My fiddle leaf loved the sponge bath! I knew you were supposed to clean the leafs but I never really knew how, thank you!
I wish you'd showed us the size of the pot !!
05:16 ..sort of..
I agree. I was hoping the same thing.
Beautiful tree, it's definitely on my wishlist. I love your outfit by the way!
What an enormous fiddle leaf fig, mine still has many years to get bigger, I would love one that is a tree, for now mine are just fig plants. Your chicken is funny, and I loved the cooing sounds she was making in the background. Thank you for some great tips on care of the fiddle leaf fig.
What a wonderful person! We need more good people like you in this world.
I am constantly watching past videos of yours just to refresh my memory about care for my own plant babies. I know how much you miss Kippetje. we miss him too. ❤️
Haha 'Kippetje' is dutch for little chicken. But you probably know that :).
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Yes! Really enjoyed the chicken in the background. So cute!!! They are so adorable.❤
Your chickens sound so happy :-)
I love that your chicken is commenting on what you're saying.
Aw I wish I had more friends who loved plants the same way we do!
I love your chicken! She is so amazing and so pretty. Her little clucks are so soothing! 🥰
Just got a Figgy from a friend that couldn’t care for it much and am super excited to learn and make her happy :)
I just found one on the side of the road. I hope to make it healthy again.
I've just discovered your channel and I absolutely love it. I'm planting a small fiddle leaf fig tree in an apartment in Bangkok, and I hope it will grow like yours!!!
Love your Ficus! Love your whole apartment!!!💚
Fantastic, yeah they grow huge given the right conditions.
I love the fiddle leaf fig it’s so beautiful 😍 love your chicken sooo cute 🌿
you're my kind of girl. i'm concentrating on making my little mulberry tree survive now.
I love chickens! I am kinda new to your channel and fell in love with your apartment! But when i saw u kept a chicken in your apartment i am fangirling
How did you end up with a chicken ? It is so Wonderful , I recently saw one of your house tour interviews and your chicken was “pinching” you it is so sweet !
Beautiful tree, beautiful house, beautiful Summer and presentation
love the clucking!!
I like how you repurposed the bottle as a water nanny! Well done!
Wow, I have three Fidler Figs and love videos on caring for and those that appreciate these beautiful plants like I. Rarely do I watch a video and my fixation transfers from subject to host but SRO is stunning.
This video by Summer Rayne Oakes on Plant Care ranks among the top 5% of high quality instructional videos on UA-cam. Good job Summer. The chicken is so adorable.
I'm lucky enough to live in Florida. My fiddle leaf fig grew like a weed outside (15') in the ground until we had a freeze last winter. It died to the ground and this summer grew back with several branches. I'm preparing to pot it up for this winter. It will probably tolerate the cold in my enclosed porch.
Hi Summer and Kapitza!
I recently purchased a Fiddle leaf fig around 3 feet tall. I actually rescued it from a chain home improvement store... It was struggling a half dozen leaves with brown spots. It is in the nursery pot. it has roots growing on top of the soil in circles! I have gotten different information on line. My questions are repot or not? Should I add additional soil and cover the root on top? Thanks so much for Homestead Brooklyn channel. Love it. 💚💙Brooklyn is just a few minutes away from me now - and I was born there! Thanks
hi! how's your fig doing now? I was just wondering since you posted this a couple of years ago...
I am just seeing this now. I do hope you re-potted that tree. Wishing you much luck on your plant journey.
Therr is a nursery here in my hometown and the ficus lyrata has grown into a 3 strorey tree. And it was producing tonnes of figs
I love your videos! They are so informative and entertaining.
I too have a Teenage hen in my apartment
Along with dogs and rats😊😊😊
At first I thought it was a person laughing while you were talking and wondered what the hell was so funny. Never dreamed it’d be chicken.🤣🤣🤣 You’re amazing!
I like your style!
I just got one of these (was envious of the one you have and had to have one for my own). Thank you for this video.
Now hen 🌾🍀☘️🍃🌿🌹💐🌷🌺🌻🌼🌳🌲🌴🌵🐔 I respect her passion 👍
I hope you own the apartment..and don't need to think about moving it out..it's beautifully huge..and clearly loves its home..🙆

Beautiful fidle fig leaf tree 🎄
So helpful as we were thinking of getting one.
I love you & your outfit in this video. Very informative and helpful, thank u goddess.
In your vast plant collection do you have a Chinese money plant? Would you consider doing a video on it? -- Malcolm
Two jobs with your 14 foot plant, one is polishing the leave in the top third of the plant and how would you replant such a giant plant without causing damage. Of course nice to see your chicken brings back such memories all good.
thanks for your tips...I got my fiddle leaf fig today! I hope it grows beautiful like yours! love the room...Looks like little amazon!
hello summer very nice tips really thanks
Can you please mention the size of pot that you're using for your tree?? And what potting mix have you used for it?
Is that a chicken on your lap? 🐔
Big help, thanks
I can't stop looking at the red necklace 😍
In love with this treee!
Love it
How do you keep a chicken indoors? How do you handle the potty situation?
Love the outfit in this vid!!
O.m.g your fig is amazing!!
Love your vids. You're so creative. Good stuff keep it up!
Lovely 😍
Your pet chicken is super cute!
I have a fiddle leaf ficus and I've been concerned about brown spots/cracks showing up on the lower leaves.. it seems worse at the bottom and gradually climbs up the tiers. Now only the top 3 leaves have no brown spots. Should I take off the ones with the brown to avoid the ones without it getting "infected"? I don't want my plant to die :c
Wowww you have lots of plants 😍
That water bottle comes from where I live!!! I love sparkling Vichy Catalan water. Today I just bought my first ficus lyrata, and I think it's to tight in the container.
How large is the pot currently?
Beautiful!
great video- beautiful tree
OH! Kippy is still with you!.....cute
What do you use to fertilize and how often for your figs? I love all of what you are doing!
Beautiful fig!
Thank you again Renee. I trimmed it pretty heavily this year!
I noticed you have an air conditioning unit in the back, does that affect the plants at all? Personally I love setting mine to freezing
Lol I like am I hearing a chicken or what. I'm so glad you show her . I was focusing on the sound of a chicken. I had watch the video again.Thank you the information.one more thing I was wondering if you had any pets .
Wow, you live in a rainforest
I have a gigantic one in my back yard. It’s about 15 metres tall.
What temperature do you keep your house and how long do you recommend leaving a humidifier on . You mentioned you water your ficus 3 times a week 🤯 i feel like i was told to do opposite for mine.
kippetje
Perfect thank you for this video!!
love chook noises 💚💜🌿
Nice bags
Thanks for the tips
Your fig is so beautiful
That outfit is epic!
Any chance u would upload a video related to how to take care of a chook in an apartment? i'm really keen on this idea :)
thanks for this video.
Three times a week? I’m under watering mine then.I thought the advice was to let it dry out between waterings and then soak it? I was doing it once every ten days. 😳 I’m going to have to step it up!
How is your plant doing now?
Once a week is enough
I water mine once a week and it’s doing just fine. If yours looks to be doing alright, then you’re doing just fine.
Wow
I love your videos so much your home is beautiful and I am slowly growing my collection in hopes to one day have them flourishing like yours! Do you have an tips on taking care of monsteras? I also know you have your one palm in your tropical closet, do you have any tips on taking care of those as well? I have mine outdoors now but will be bringing it in soon and I want to make sure it is getting enough light and ideal temperatures and such. Thank you!!!
Thank u for this video. We have this plant in the office and never knew the name of it. Now we do, yay. Question though, there is no branches. The plant was curling under the ceiling and we cut the top off hoping it would would branch out. But it didn't. Do u have any suggestions?
You’re beautiful and so are your figs!
Quick question for anyone with experience. I live in Phoenix AZ and I looked at a house with an in-ground (S facing shaded porch area) Fiddle that was at least 15 years old. It was massive and thriving! I put my Fiddles outside in partial/full sun until end of March (90's by then) which then I move them to the N face of the house where they stay all Summer in full shade through the 100's (HAPPY!!) Do you think I could put them into the ground here in full shade? We see 2 weeks of frost prone mornings in Jan. It sure would cut down on moving heavy pots and their water demand in the heat. Thanks
Hi Summer, love your channel and especially the Hoya episode in Sweden, watched it numerous times! Please could you help me, fiddle fig doesn’t like to be touched but does it matter if other plants touch him? As in being close to them and leaf from other plant touching his leaf? Magdalena
A real pet chicken in NewZoo York? unreal no zoning issues here we need a big coop and grass in city.
Your dress is very suitable for the summer season....
Fig forest ...good maintenance
I want your knowledge of all these beautiful plants. I am also growing a jungle (it's not as thick as yours yet) in my apt in the northeast as well and winter worries me with the heat on and how dry it is here. Humidifier here we come
I'm growing taro root and sweet potatoes in pots outside (no yard, just a rooftop). How am I going to know when they're done growing? I'm a little afraid to dig them up and check on them. I'd hate to ruin perfectly good plants out of my own curiosity.
