The Quest 2 to Quest 3 graphic difference is like going from a PS2 to a PS3. Its very significant given the form factor of the headsets. I'm super stoked for it. Totally worth the upgrade!

Just an FYI, nobody has done a test of grid legends yet. It looked janky af on the Q2, but it does have the option to change graphical settings in game. Possibly a good option for showing the difference between how the two sets handle the game?

I cant wait to get mine. i ordered it during connect but it hasnt shipped yet sadly. I have a quest 2 and really look forward to getting the quest 3. I saved up all year for this. LOL. probably going to have to get a different headstrap eventually. probably an elite strap. that is what I have had on my quest 2 for a long time. Since I won it from you actually. Served me well the last few years but that will have to wait and I will have to save up for that. LOL. Thank you for the video.
Your Quest 2 looks new compared to my Vive. zip ties, tape, etc 6000 hrs on the OG Vive.

I play Rec Room and I used to play on PSVR. Then my VR broke for some reason and switched to Oculus Quest 2.
There was one game in Rec Room called Crescendo of the Blood Moon but it wasn’t on Oculus Quest.

Are VR Games on the Quest 3 now almost the same graphics as on the old PSVR (1) ?
This is the question I'm wondering. Really looking forward to the FOV but wondering if the graphics will be much of let down coming from PSVR1. Of course, going from the move controllers and camera to just "grab real controllers and play" is gonna be amazing! lol
My birthday is in a few days.. Definitely going to save up the money I get from that to upgrade my quest 2!!

How are the controllers? Any lack of tracking in certain situations, or does it seem to be a 1 to 1 comparison? Any improvements (besides ergonomics)?
personally for me, the tracking seems pretty good with not too many problems.
@@Kendricks_biggest_fan Ok sweet, because I heard there were some issues compared to the Q2 controllers, like tracking near the head and behind it being lost, etc. with certain motions, particularly motions that the Q2 didn't have an issue with. I guess they ironed those out. Good news.
As an AFOL (adult fan of LEGO), I actually would love it if Wolf did some toy reviews. 😁
What I will personally be interested in, is VRChat, and that might seem odd but the limitations of the Quest effect everyone. Many of the people I hang out with use PC only models, myself included, and the current limitations of the MQ2 make it so others can't proper RP or hang with us as they cannot see our models at all. The MQ3, depending on price and availability with Christmas coming soon, could open up what Quest users can see, the gap between PCVR and Quest could be closed a bit and open up better RP and community interactions with a game built on social interaction.

The Quest 2 had a fancy box so it's likely this is just what the Quest 3 will be available in.

Why is your box so much bigger than mine just picked it up today even a completely different box design we just get the small box.
My quest 3 arrived today, and i immediately tasted the three things i want to check. Fov, black level, and the quality of the lenses. And i surprised how good Quest 3 was. First about fov. Compared to quest 2 with 92° for me, i get 104° in my quest 3. Very good jump from my old quest 2. This is really feel wider and more open compared to quest 2 with binocular look. 😃
Next, the pancake lenses. Wow, the sharpnes and the quality of these lenses are great. Also, because of the better resolution of quest 3, you can easily read the texts. When you use these lenses, mark my words,you can't go back to fresnel lenses in quest 2. 😄
And finally, about the black level, i surprised how good the black level was. I even compared it with my quest pro with local dimming on, and the black level is really the same with quest pro. Im surprised. Of course, because the diplays of quest 3 are lcd, you have not the oled black lvl.but for a lcd display this is really good.😃
Overall, i really liked Quest 3. It's a really big jump from already good quest 2 😮

I been tinkering with Earth quest which is a google earth VR standalone. I need the ram so going snag a Quest Pro with 12GB of ram.

Are there any visual improvements in PC games for Q3 vs Q2? I play primarily PCVR, so wondering if it's worth upgrading to Q3, or are the improvements only for native Q3 games (on the headset vs on PC).
yes you would get improvments on pcvr with the quest 3, because of the better lenses higher resolutuon and higher fov it will make a huge difference in clarity

Is the motion sickness better,worse or the same?
I assume it'll generally be running at a higher refresh rate which means less motion sickness. The wider FOV could cause issues for some but of course most games offer blinders so no problem there.

The compartment controls for this strike me as the kind thing that's going to break under stress. As opposed to the magnetic system used by the rift s at least. I don't have experience with the wireless meta stuff
My Quest 3 arrives tomorrow. I have done extensive research, and I can't believe I actually have to ask this question but...... does anyone know what Quest 3 games I can buy NOW?
It is absolutely insane that there is zero information on what new or even upgraded Quest 2 games are available at launch when I just dropped $500 on the hardware.
Red Matter 2 is the big one that'll be available at launch. You'll get Asgard's Wrath 2 for free with the device, but it doesn't come out until winter this year. I'm sure more will have updates that we just haven't heard about yet. I'd look again tomorrow.
