Recently I've really started to like this song, and one day I'd love to cover it when I get good enough, and if possible I would really like to use your lyrics if that's alright, I'll certainly credit you but this probably isn't going to be anytime soon. Hey! Not at all. You don't really need to get permission!
To explain it a bit more, UMG/Ado release the official instrumental on the original for covers. If you click the description on this video, you'll notice at the bottom that there's a copyright claim (this will be the case for anyone who uses the official instrumental) because UA-cam ContentID will track the instrumental and anything made with it. Any revenue made on this video will then go to UMG/Ado automatically. So even though my account isn't monetized, UA-cam/UMG places ads on the video because that's what their terms allow for copyright holders.
This is also why a lot of bigger cover artists or monetized cover artists use unofficial instrumentals (which pushes the cover to fall a bit more under fair use/parody, I guess)--otherwise, they wouldn't have much revenue to keep going on UA-cam tbh.
Regardless of whether you use the official or not, I always recommend linking the original song and giving credits to the original singer, producer, and video artist (if you use the video from the original--the original video is also tracked by ContentID btw), in your description. But otherwise, you don't need to get special permission, from what I know!

Is it just me or do translations of this song vary a lot? It different covers the lyrics are different, but still similar enough to where y'know they're the same song, it's just that it gets confusing seeing covers and they're all different ahha
A lot of the other people who cover do more interpretive covers, so they might not match the original meaning all that closely! I personally translate the song myself as close to the original meaning as I can because that's just my style ^ ^=

@@rororocchi Thanks. Yeah, I meant mic. What recording software too? I have been wanting to do narrations or singing on UA-cam for a long time.
I use Cubase now for vocals. I started off in Audacity/Garageband (free) but moved to Logic when I got serious about mixing. Really recommend Logic if you're on Mac, it's fantastic and affordable. A lot of the tutorials on mixing I watched were on Cubase though so I eventually saved up and switched, and now I'm used to it. It's great too.

あーそれはですね、英語版歌ってみた作る方々はよく歌詞に自分らしい意味を含めて歌いますね。そして、日本語わからない方もいて、ネットで翻訳を探してその翻訳から歌えるような歌詞を作る方もいると思います。ですので私たちの英語歌詞には違いがあるかと思いますね！
実はある友達もこの曲の英語版最近投稿しましたが、友達は日本語分からないが野球大好きで、翻訳見て野球的な意味・用語含めて歌詞書いて歌いました。それはその友達の歌詞の魅力だと思います！^ ^= 私の場合には原作から直接翻訳して、できるだけ原作と同じ意味を持つ、歌える英語歌詞書く目標です。考えたらクリエイティブじゃないが頑張っていますw（長い説明申し訳ないです！英-->日翻訳できますが、日本語を書くのが本当にまだまだで、日本語間違っていましたらすみません！(*' ')*, ,)）

why do english covers always differ between people? one guy has entirely different lyrics than this one, am about to google translate some lyrics
I translate my own lyrics and try to match the original as closely as possible! I know others like to take a different approach and interpret it to the translation they read/the story they see from the music video, or change words to add more rhymes
@@rororocchi I noticed it with many different songs, bad apple was the first, so many covers, all with different lyrics when translated, thats what caused me to ask
