Wow, 3k km over two years indeed doesn't sound like much.
I've hit 5k km mark after two months of ownership, and it's not my only bike.
That being said - thank you for the review! It's always intersting to learn other's point of view and their opinions and experiences.

Got mine last year Tourno version - fantastic went from the Midlands to the TT and rode it and toured - fully comfortable and enjoyed every second, what a bike , no need for a 1000cc this missile is light and versatile proper ride , the imu and quick shift are great , don’t plan on changing it . Service costs are cheap- only dislike is sat nav plays up sometimes

I also have the Tuono 660. I got mine in 2021. Only thing that I wish it had is a bit more low-end torque. I am going to upgrade the Exhaust (with the ECU tune flash), the quick shift and the IMU. I have over 8k miles on it.

As always, great vid, Dave. Also had my RS for just over 2 years. Acid gold is the best looking colour for the RS, and that is why I got it. Some mods: Akra full race exhaust, Gabro velocity stacks, Gabro tune via Upmap, levers, rearsets, Racingbike screen, tyres (Metzler M9RR), Oxford heated grips. Done just over 23K km now and I am in the same mindset as you about it. Best road bike I have owned. Zero issues so far, and it gets taken to track days now and then (I have a dedicated track bike as well). Oh, and I am also of the "older" riders. 53 years young.

Did you have a difference in top speed? How was the power band after these upgrades? A huge improvement or just so so?! Ty so much if you take the time to answer ❤

Morning Dave, The RS660 is a fantastic looking and sounding bike but the new RS660 Extrema in the red, green & black colour scheme has stepped it up a level in the looks department 😍 The 660 Tuono edges it for me tho as the slightly more upright riding position would be easier on the bones and joints 🤣

Mirror vibration trick: Get Pelican pick-n-pluck styrofoam, and take the individual foam strips and stuff them in the gap between the mirror’s ‘can’ and the movable mirror… I’ve stuffed about 8-9 in each using kabob sticks, and it has worked amazingly well…

Great clip Dave, thanks very much. I bought the same bike/ same colour, 2 yrs ago., it being the first sports bike I had ever had. It’s taken me a very long time to adjust to the handling characteristics, ie it feels “ twitchy” compared to the GS which I also ride. However, after much tweaking etc of the suspension, any doubts I had and thoughts of getting rid, have completely gone: it’s a beautiful piece of motorcycle engineering, which ticks most boxes. That said, the GS is still reserved for the more rugged rural trips, whereas the RS is more suited to that late evening adrenaline rush on wide open rural roads.
    Have fun.

Thanks a lot for your review, very interesting and very honest. That's the reason I bought the Tuono Factory. Perfect all-round bike... good or bad roads, city or twisties, short or long range without being tired, and I bought additionnal bags when traveling. And of course a track-day from time to time. And thanks to their complete equipments (imu, full adjustable suspension, full 100 hp, quickshift and blipper, shorter demultiplication) an absolute joy to ride. Just changed the tires because I ride all year-long, and the original tires are good, but not for bad winter conditions. Thanks for your greats videos.

Good video, Dave. I'm (kind of) glad to say that I'm of an age where my RS660 is the 'toy' of my bike stable. I've got around 74k on the FJR (acquired 2017) and 32k on the H2 SX (acquired 2019) and only 4+km on the Aprilia (acquired 2021). The reason being, I'm kinda spoiled for choice.
The FJR is the one I would ride around the world on, the H2 is the one I would go for outright speed on the autobahn (nowhere else, of course!). They are both comfortable for my old man's bones (FJR first, then H2 SX) and can cope with the shopping at Tescos thanks to integrated luggage.
The Aprilia though, is the most fun on a twisty road on a nice day (though wind protection is great any weather). It sounds lovely, is comfortable in comparison to other sports bikes, and makes me feel like a young hooligan (not that I act on such impulses). In short - I love it. Not one mechanical or electrical issue to date, either. And it looks absolutely gorgeous.

Coming up to three years with mine. Stock except for Dymag wheels and aftermarket discs. Wheels was a cosmetic decision because I don't like the dayglo red stock ones, discs was a mechanical decision because the originals warped. At 14k miles now the bike is brilliant and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. It's my only bike so gets used for everything well except commuting. The worst thing are the mirrors, planning on fitting aftermarket blind spot monitoring system as an adjunct. I use heated gloves as i read fitting heated grips was a nightmare and the lack of a hazard indicator switch finally bit me the last time the bike was serviced as the software update removed the hold left for 10 second function. The MIA is brilliant and I use it all the time, I never mount a phone.

So, I must be older 59 because I went Tuono 660 Factory so I'd have all the 'goodies': IMU, adjustable shocks, quick-shifter & all under warranty! But, like you, I love everything about it (except the ⚫️ 'colorway') & would love to sing its praises as a well engineered sports(y) bike. Even that doesn't show off any of its behavior on the road. It is so good- it's almost a secret. Like KTM's Super Duke R 1290- until you ride it, you don't get it. I think it takes a long-term rider to appreciate the poise, balance & panache it brings to the table. Well, on a short dealer test loop, at least. Thankfully, I have a good dealer only 20 minutes away - peace of mind is a priceless gift..
