Yours is the video I turn to because I know I won't have to fast forward through a lot of useless chatter. This was one particularly snappy. It felt like you had a car running outside or something. Thank you!
Thank you for such a concice video! Most of the things I learned in knitting, I learned from your videos, because the delivery on other videos couldn't quite keep my attention. I very much appreciate your content, as it's brought me untold hours of joy.
I am just starting a pattern requiring this bind off. The written instructions have left my head spinning! I knew I would find a video from you that was simple to follow! Thanks again for an excellent tutorial!
OH MY GOSH! After I researched looser bind-off techniques and then figured out how to tink my traditional bind-off - which made my square baby afghan look like a trapezoid - I watched your video. This bind-off technique is marvelous! The baby afghan looks terrific now!
Just used this with great success to finish off a lace scarf were I didn't want an obvious-looking bind off, since you will see both castor and bind off edges of scarf next to each other when you wear it. This worked beautifully! And it was super easy to do.
Thank you! You always help me with the questions on the patterns I knit. Your explanations and demonstration are always very clear. Thanks s lot!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
I love this method of binding off, thanks to your video because you explain it so well! Unfortunately, my very first time of doing it and I forgot to do a purl row per the pattern, and it is HELL trying to undo! If you know an easy way to do that, please let me know! :-D
@annieament You can really use this for anything. In fact, I recently used it on a ribbed scarf, because I didn't want the harsh line of a normal bind-off. Just watch your tension as you do it, and make sure it matches the rest of the work.
VeryPink Knits Is there anyway to rip it out and start over? I watched another video and apparently was confused put yours on and it was perfectly clear as always love the bind off but the beginning does not look good where I first started. Hope you can help me. Thank you🤓
Help! I’m doing the Italian bind off for the first time and I misjudged my tail…(I thought I had 4 times the width of the sweater ribbing) can I add to the tail? How? Please! Thank you!
I have a pattern with nearly 400 stitches to bind off using this method, how on earth do I work out how much of a tail I need? and is this at all possible anyway?
I just used the sewn bind off for a sweater edge and it looks great. My only problem was that it does take a long time to do plus I was using acrylic yarn and as the bind off went along, the yarn itself changed/started to unwind and by the time I got to the end (fortunately!), it completely came apart. This is probably just an issue with acrylic yarn or possibly the manufacturer (Sirdar)? Has this happened to anyone using wool yarn?
I have to bind off 1,074 stiches in silk yarn. Not even going to try this, ha. I don't think it would fare any better than your acrylic. This is probably best used on projects with a small edge.

Perfectly compatible with twisted ribbing. I wasn’t sure but it looks great!

Just learning to knit but desperately needed an alternative to a regular bind-off - thanks so much!! :)

Everything about Elizabeth Zimmerman is magical and so, of course, she was the originator and proponent of this amazing cast off 🦄
Hi! Thank you for another lovely, succinct lesson! Question: How long does your yarn tail need to be for this bind-off? Please and Thank you!
Guess what I am going to try next time? Thank you for another informative video.
Love your videos---so clear and helpful!
I just discovered this video and I love the way it looks. How do you know how long of a "tail" you need when you break the yarn?
Three times as long.
I used this on a shawl earlier and love it! Although it took for freaking ever lol!
I think your tutorials are great! Could you tell me what pattern your hoodie is that you are wearing in the sewn bind off tutorial?
It's called Central Park Hoodie, here is the Ravelry link to the pattern. www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/13-central-park-hoodie

I love this bind off too. What do you do when you have the one stitch left on the needle? Thanks.
When you have one stitch left on the needle, go through it as if to purl and slide it off.

So if I am doing a fingersless glove or top of sock, doing magic loop, I assume nothing changes. :) love all your videos.

What knitting pattern is the cardigan you are wearing please? I love it.
It's called Central Park Hoodie, the pattern is available on Ravelry.
Is this technique good for binding off a sweater with a K1P1 rib with 339 stitiches?
How do you end the row with the bind off?
PS ... I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you. :-)
Can this be used to bind off K2P2 ribbing, or any other ribbing? I am making a cowl and it has a ribbed edge. Thank you!
Yes, you can use this bind-off with any fabric.
THANKS!!!!!!!
Thank you, AGAIN.
