I mean she's not a bass bass as in she is obviously a woman obviously. But she's doing the bass part so she's the bass of the group. Bass (or alto, tenor, soprano) can refer to the part a certain person is playing in an arrangement. Obviously she doesn't have the resonance a true man bass would have but she can do the job with a microphone and just being able to hit those notes as a woman is already pretty impressive. They better take care of that girl, there's not many in the world that could do that.
Me as of 2:00 PM yesterday: “Never heard this before, but I have to listen to it for my a cappella group’s set list selection tonight, so…” Me as of now: Mainlining this banger (and preparing to sing it for my a cappella concert next fall ;). )
It’s genuinely the only thing I can focus on….you could replace every other member and I probably wouldn’t notice, it’s the bass/beatboxing that’s standout and memorable…also, can you imagine if little mix would’ve had her as a fifth member?! Omg.
This is taking me back to my high school days. Practicing with friends and developing our vocals. This is also giving me Pitch Perfect vibes. I can see them doing a number like this. With the same title too!!!!😀😀😀
tamanna 1221 It’s any female that sings lower then alto and has a masculine sound to their voice. I’m a contralto for instance as I sing in the tenor range despite being female or in her case she’s much lower, but a lot of people like that are also just low mezzos.
I have become "obssessed" with your group. I watched (and listened) to Killing Me Softly, about a year and a half ago, here on YT. I was in awe of your harmonies on that cover. I can't even tell you what happened in the last couple of days that I have found myself becoming more and more of a fan of your music. Know this too, I am a 69 y/o woman who lives in a small town in N.C. My only musical background is that I sang in chorus all 4 years of high school. Sang solos in weddings during that time, solos and duets in church and for two winters, I sang at a resort on Saturday nights (up in the hills of the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains which you probably have never heard of before). I have always known what beautiful voices sound like and I do take pride in telling that fact. My vocals have long since changed (not for the better) and I rarely sing at all anymore (just in the car to oldies on the radio). I've been noticing with comments on this and other videos of yours that they are from 1 to 4 years ago, as are all of your videos that have now made me a "re-newed" fan. Why is this? Where have all of you been performing and will you replace the young lady who left your group? I hope, with all my heart, that CQ keeps going because you're phenomenal!! And even at 69 y/o, I love ALL of your perfomances. Just a reminder that your talent and incrediblly beautiful and unique voices draws all ages to your music!!! I do hope you read this, ladies, and the admiration and support of ALL of your fans will keep you going forward!!
Are each of their outfits from a different decade of fashion? Cora is 2000s with the white crop top, Kaedi is 90s with the ripped jeans, Hannah is 80s with the ruffled denim top, Kaylah is 70s with the bootcut jumpsuit, and Nina is 60s with the factory style jumpsuit.
I think this is actually a group he helped set up. A few years ago he wanted to do a project creating a new a-capella group and I thing this is the result which is bloody brilliant
Why is no one taking about what an amazing singer the girl in ripped jeans is? I'm a VERY low alto, to the point where everyone asks how I can sing that low, and I can't sing as low as that girl! She's amazing!
Arabian Flower I’m a high soprano and I hate that everyone always assumes that we have the hard stuff. Like no, talent flows on ends of the spectrum. That girl deserves so much more attention than she got!!
They use an octave pedal for some of those bass notes! The vocals in this video are recorded on a sound board and put over the choreography. The low alto is definitely still a really talented singer and has a great range, but some of those low notes are accomplished with a bass pedal on her mic.
You've gotten yourself a new fan, this compilation has me hooked. The low voice is absolutely carrying the group ((but in a good way)), the harmonies in this are amazing, all of the voices blend so incredibly well, and i love how all of them are getting the spotlight. I'm obsessed.

Obviously she doesn't have the resonance a true man bass would have but she can do the job with a microphone and just being able to hit those notes as a woman is already pretty impressive. They better take care of that girl, there's not many in the world that could do that.
CMON CORA, how can you beatbox while slaying those choreo? WHAT A QUEEN.
miko kocrunch because they’re miming
she is, but they record the song before filming and then they lipsync for the video (like for every music videos made)
Who’s gonna tell her
Jesus, these vocals are on point
Me as of 2:00 PM yesterday: “Never heard this before, but I have to listen to it for my a cappella group’s set list selection tonight, so…”
Me as of now: Mainlining this banger (and preparing to sing it for my a cappella concert next fall ;). )
You could see that they're having fun even though their feet hurt
daggersisaweeb they could be used to heels? Why make a weird assumption like that
Missy Raine they said it in the behind the scenes that their feet hurt
Dancing + Heels = Ultimate Death Wish
Welcome to everyone woman ever
@@corrighane5949 dancing in heals is nothing compared to pointe shoes. Those are the ultimate heels
The girl doing bass is the absolute backbone of the group, holy crap her voice is amazing! Also her tooth gap is next level adorable.
Yep! Adorbs 😍😍. It's almost unreal
It’s genuinely the only thing I can focus on….you could replace every other member and I probably wouldn’t notice, it’s the bass/beatboxing that’s standout and memorable…also, can you imagine if little mix would’ve had her as a fifth member?! Omg.
thats ms kaedi! with a mix of cora
@@Miss_Camel If LM had Queen Kaedi they'd still be together and Jesy Nelson wouldn't have done All That.

Kaedi and Cora beatboxing deserved more screen time. Kaedi’s solo was fantastic, would love to hear more solos!
Totally agree!
so true(o・ω・o)
100% agree with you. The beatbox was the heart of every song and should have been displayed as such.
Moon Sugar Yes!❤️
This is taking me back to my high school days. Practicing with friends and developing our vocals.
This is also giving me Pitch Perfect vibes. I can see them doing a number like this. With the same title too!!!!😀😀😀
me changing the song every 10 seconds when i got the aux cord in the car
Frensie Bangalan same tho... my family looks at me like I’m insane... but my little cousin takes after me! I’m so proud of him!

The chocolate gurl with ripped Jean's singing bass, is a QWEEN!!!!
Shes soooooo beautiful 😍💜
Is she trans or a contralto?
BowlingBall Animatics Not trans. Contralto
@@entpanimatics8070 whats contralto?
tamanna 1221 It’s any female that sings lower then alto and has a masculine sound to their voice. I’m a contralto for instance as I sing in the tenor range despite being female or in her case she’s much lower, but a lot of people like that are also just low mezzos.
You can’t talk chocolate, she is a afrodescendente
Are they the muses of Hercules?
Roselyart 😂😂😂
Finally, a great comment.
For the live-action? Yes please!

If Disney doesn’t at least ask them if they want the part, I’m gonna loose faith in Disney...!
Okay vocals, bass, beat, and moves! I love this.
Katie B woah i just realized this!!
So true , I just realized now

I felt like they were going for different eras of cloths
Your comment deserve to be pinned.
Never heard of them before today but I'm so glad I clicked on the video

Shout out to Cora and Kaedi. I could listen to them all day.
Anyone else notice that Scott Hoying (from Pentatonix) helped arrange this? Dude I love that!
I think this is actually a group he helped set up.
A few years ago he wanted to do a project creating a new a-capella group and I thing this is the result which is bloody brilliant
Lisa H Oh woah, I didn’t realize that. That’s actually really cool!
He’s the co founder of this group
Yeah they all met at the acapella academy that Avi and Scott do. Scott was one of the people who got the whole group together.
Aaaah! So that's why a lot of parts have Pentatonix sound and feels
Why is no one taking about what an amazing singer the girl in ripped jeans is? I'm a VERY low alto, to the point where everyone asks how I can sing that low, and I can't sing as low as that girl! She's amazing!
Arabian Flower yeah we care....
Dude like everyone is talking about her. (But yeah she’s really amazing, and the girl who I beat boxing is awesome too)
Arabian Flower I’m a high soprano and I hate that everyone always assumes that we have the hard stuff. Like no, talent flows on ends of the spectrum. That girl deserves so much more attention than she got!!
I'm an alto with 3 full octaves and I heard those lows as soon as she started and was hype as hell. She's a goddess. @n@
They use an octave pedal for some of those bass notes! The vocals in this video are recorded on a sound board and put over the choreography. The low alto is definitely still a really talented singer and has a great range, but some of those low notes are accomplished with a bass pedal on her mic.
So good!!! I do wish they showed the girls doing the bass and beatboxing more :( just seems like they weren’t shown enough!!!
Honeygirl yeah I agree
Agree!
ikr
Agreed
Tell me about it call it what you like but who ever was doing the bass was the best! That’s the most difficult part hit that bass and beatboxing!
You've gotten yourself a new fan, this compilation has me hooked. The low voice is absolutely carrying the group ((but in a good way)), the harmonies in this are amazing, all of the voices blend so incredibly well, and i love how all of them are getting the spotlight. I'm obsessed.

the girl beatboxin got some clean K snares
Rewatch the camera work and compare how much 'focus' she got compared to the others. Shame. :
What amazing talent! Close harmonies like these is one of the purest vocal artforms. Brilliant!!!
Everything about this was amazing, from the singing and choreography to the bass singing in the background. Very creative
Cameraman: Manly focusing on the 3
Comment section: ok let's talk about their bass and beatbox
Me: I see what u did there cameraman
I'm sorry I didn't get it someone please explain
@@clipitty Well the person is assuming that the cameraman focused on the three singers in the middle on purpose to make people feel like it was unfair to the other two so that they would focus on these two more 😊

These girls are freakin amazing . Their harmony is out of this world . Can’t understand why a big company hasn’t nailed them with a music contract .
I just love how all the girls are different color and shapes singing so perfect in harmony
They don't represent the skinny people like me. And three out of five of them have almost the same shape

they still represent diversity even if your body type isn’t here tf
Conclusion: girl groups have always been and will always be fire
especially this one
There aren't many of them in our generation little mix are the only girlband that still exist and popular i'm so sad

@@zaynahadi2699 in k pop there’s a bunch, but it’s sad so many of them have disbanded in Pop.
@@zaynahadi2699 Theres a whole plethora of girl groups or groups in general in K-Pop theres just more options there which is a reason I got into K-Pop in the first place because I'm a fan of pop groups!
