@ATribeCalledCars, you can put the Tayga King Mud Tires on the ANK MK38, and that's what I mainly run on the truck, with the acception of Running the Dually Chained Tires for maps such as the set of maps based in Amur, Russia because of that steep icy hill you have to conquer shortly after you leave the garage in the first of the Amur, Russia maps.
The ninja winch technique can also be used to captain sparrow turns like a boss

Gotta agree with the YAR 87 but it's wicked tippy. I found the Paystar 5070 and the Caterpillar CT680 to be workhorses. I'm a truck driver by trade and have driven many different civilian and military trucks.
I actually thought the YAR 87 was a middle-stability truck. But it can't reach the stability of a Loadstar, so bring autonomous winch on every trip.
Interestingly enough, my favorite part about this video is how you point out how do-it-all trucks get boring. Because I agree with that. Unless there's an actual time limit, i see no reason to go with the trucks that make things easy and fast.

@@ATribeCalledCars Exactly. And, the longer runs give you MUCH more time to get a feel for the trucks, to definitively find out what works where and what you simply do and don't like.
At least, that's what I do in SpinTires and MudRunner. I'm personally still waiting and hoping this'll come to Steam at the end of April.
Love it. This had me SOOO pissed off trying to get it started and figured out, everyone told me this was much better then mudrunner but I never got to deep into mudrunner. After watching 2 videos of yours, I'm set and know what I need and how to get it. Thanks !

I personally started putting the high range gearboxes in most my trucks cause, with the Voron AE for example, you start off in Automatic, get going and literally half a second or a second after you get going in 1st gear you drop it into H(igh) and it’s GONE! I haul trailers or loaded flatbeds etc. Uphills at almost max speed and people just stare in amazement and ask “how you do dat doe...?”. Give it a try, y’all won’t be disappointed! Btw, just saw you say how the Azov is slow, bruh, put the highrange gearbox in that and it becomes a speed demon! I use the other Azov tho so maybe it’s faster.

Azov 6 can only have Special and Advanced Special gearboxes, so no highway boxes available

I love when the mud makes that unique sound like it didn’t have time to catch up with the speed at which you went through it?!?!
For me the best scout is the International Loadstar. Even when its wheels are too small or it's not tall enough for certain terrain, this beast has so much power it just takes some damage and plows through anyways. Plus it has a very appealing retro look.
It uses way too much gas though
Great review, I agree with you 100% on the Tayga. When you have a minute, check out the snub-nosed Derry Longhorn. It's a heavy truck capable of pulling the biggest loads, but is very capable off-road with eight wheels and the front and rear steering tires makes it have a VERY sharp turning radius. Makes it much easier to get in and out of places and control unwieldy trailers.

Yes used the tayga for a while. Then got your number two. First thing i noticed was it was quite a bit slower than the tayga. So i certainly agree with what you said.
The Cat CT680 has been my go-to hauler for just about everything after upgrades. 2nd biggest motor has plenty of power while still retaining some fuel economy and you can add pretty much every type of add-on to it. Before that, it was the White-Western Star because who doesnt love an old beast of a truck?
Both cool trucks! Just a shame that CAT can take a while to unlock.

I agree so much with your #1. Plus the fact that you can recover it a the really beginning of the drowned lands. Only lvl 10 here and explored all the russian map with the AT tires and it does it like a champ. Note that it is better with 10 wheels instead of 6 when it’s time to chose rubbers. But, Did not tested the big offroad ones yet.
Let's also remember, or be informed of, the fact that the Caterpillar's Container attachment can actually haul up to 2 points worth of other cargo. Which is basically everything other than large containers and specialty cargo.

I've had the most fun recently with the Western Star Twinsteer, jumping into coop and shipping cargo to the guy's garage to help out. That thing with the highrange gearbox is OBSCENE. Zooming back and forth like a fucking rocket! The sense of momentum is hilarious to me, blazing down the highway at ~1000mph with a full bed of cargo. Love it :)
I've not used the highrange much on this, I'll add it to the list!
@@ATribeCalledCars Do you mean on this game in general? I HIGHLY recommend the HIGH-RANGE gearboxes :)
Between the 3 additional high gears in Auto, plus the fixed High gear, you can maintain much greater speeds. Downsides are the fuel consumption, and the lack of low gear options for the trickiest of terrain.
Personally I love the Western white star its with really helps it
Yup, incredibly stable and powerful and the thin mud tires dig straight to solid ground. Gets beat for swamps though.
My games bugged with trailers so this truck in the only way I can move big items.

Mines bugged too. If I dump the contents of the trailer while the cargo is still packed, no matter where the cargo is on the map, or the trailer, the trailer recognizes it as being in the back still so when I try to load it back on, it falls thru the trailer. I've even tried to load that same cargo on other trailers then go BACK to the one I lost it with, and I still get the option to remove it even though it's on another truck and trailer. Then the cargo floats at the top of the map sometimes too and can be seen on the map way above everything else.

I rescued the white western star with the tayga flatbed fully loaded for some extra grip, no problem its my fav truck iv got so far

I used the Tatarin to pull the "stuck truck" that went off the side of the cliff in the second or third snow map, that thing is a beast. Also it can't attach trailers but it can tow them just fine as part of a mission, I've used it many times to deliver scout and truck sized trailers
Good point! As long as you drop something in the mission end box it counts as far as I've seen.
I also used the tatarin to get the truck out but it suffered on traction on the road because mudtires on ice roads is a recipe for disaster, so once i pull out the stuck truck into a little hill which the tuz tatarin could not get over, i called my other truck and hauled it to the garage
My Navi ate up that hill and pulled that truck out without hesitation. Great truck! I did get it free though. 140+k is a bit steep.
I started playing Mud Runner again after initially not liking it a couple years back and now I'm loving every minute of it. Can't wait to pick up Snow Runner now.
SnowRunner is a great game, definitely worth playing.
Nice work. The ANK was a huge surprise when I first drove it, cheap and beastly! I have the Tayga but use it sparingly. I'll definitely give it another go, she whips that's for sure

Hammer is definitely good at this game. I also liked Soviet and Russian transport very much. In General, most of the KAMAZ trucks and armored car are simply gorgeous.
I love the Caterpillar CT680. S+ power. Decent fuel efficiency. Decent fuel tank size. Solid truck. Twinsteer 6900 is also pretty good upgraded when you want 4 cargo slots but don't want to use a trailer. P12 is my favorite recovery truck. One of the only 2 trucks that can use the large maintenance frame. You also should've mentioned VORON D 53233. Almost a carbon copy of the Voron AE but its raised suspension upgrade is available. It has slightly less power to weight but has 20 liters more fuel capacity. Regardless, pretty much every truck in this game is perfectly usable once upgraded. Tires make a huge difference.
Tyres really do. I pretty much run mud or off-road only, given the terrain in SnowRunner.
I have found with the ANK, putting on the raised suspension but leaving the original tyres that it comes with on, keeps it quite stable and it still gets through pretty much anything with ease. The standard tyres it comes with are 47" anyway, so they are as big as most trucks bigger wheels.
Very true. De-tuning some trucks is a good thing actually, I do it quite a lot myself.

Best scout by far is KHAN 39. Some might argue it's OP.
Also my favorite off-road truck is International Paystar. Almost as awesome as the ANK MK 38 but can have crane and flatbed and a trailer. And is the first truck I ever got from the store.
The KHAN 39 Marshall has the smallest fuel tank out of every scout
I've just started playing this game and got told to buy the voron d straight away that thing shreds through everything in Michigan. Really enjoying this game, not enjoyed a game this much since red dead redemption 2

Same, I Got The Game A Few Days A Go And Played Half Way Through Michigan And Alaska And When I Went To Russia I Found The Tayga And I Love It, One Of My Favorite Vehicles, After I Get Half Way Through Russia I'll Go Back To Michigan, Then To Alaska, Then Back To Where I Am Now
So many lovely vehicles. Never played anything like this game but I'm having trailers of fun! Glad the P16 got a mention. So damn stable and reliable for mammoth tasks.

Only thing that's dead annoying is when cargo drops through your vehicle/trailer. And I wanted to transport my scout on a big trailer but I could not 'Pack' the load. Damn.
The Tayga and the Azov are my top 2 also. They do make the deliveries too easy sometimes lol. Great video and review, thanks 👍🤙

The Tuz 420 is freaking amazing. That giant mud pit that splits the paved road on the drowned lands? I stuck so many trucks in there, this thing drove through it with no winches and in around 15-20 seconds. Only negative is that it guzzles gas like crazy

I like the Loadstar, Fleetstar, WWS, Royal, Tuz 420, Cat 745c, Tayga 6436. These are all fantastic trucks in their own right.

Thanks for the video. So far my favorite truck is the Hummer H2, but that’s because I haven’t unlocked that many. Pretty much the only one I did unlock so far from your list is the number one, which I won’t spoil. Looking forward to the detailed video on that one. Later.
The Hummer H2 is great hence being in the intro, I just felt like it would be more interesting to show the weirder stuff. Plus it struggles in Russia's deep mud even if you put on the largest mud-specific tyres. Cheers for avoiding the spoiler!
Try the loadstar aswell. Having a scout (although thirsty) with a crane is a meme and a half. But it has the pulling power to do it. I did the mission with rescueing the big containers in drummond island with that scout.
I picked up the hummer and dropped it off the end if the pier where they all belong.
Few absolute beasts probably should have gotten a honorable mention but your list 100% on point
Yeah would be a slightly different list more than a year on. But that was what we had back then.
my go to trucks at the moment are the western white star and royal bm17 (did ALL missions and tasks in michigan with them),for alaska im running the ank38 and pacific12 (rescue truck), will dip my toes into russia this weekend :)... and i have now subscribed also GREAT VIDEOS :P

The ANK and the Tayga are the two most versatile trucks with speed in the game. I have both of mine upgraded to the max with the best engine options and mud tires available for both and have yet to get stuck in either truck. Anywhere, they’ve walked everywhere, the only thing holding the ANK back is lack of many frame addons, but it will still drag a trailer and heavy cargo in the bed anywhere, just have a fuel truck on stand by if you don’t wish to recover after every mission. The Tayga is beast, I use the crane add on and a side board flat bed everywhere I go with it. I unlocked it and all it’s addons before I did anything noteworthy in any of the maps. And it’s nonstop balls to the walls everywhere. Got me all the way through Michigan. I sold the Twin Steer and purchased the p12 and upgraded it to the max as well. The P16 and P12 if you can handle their slow nature are the two best trucks for all the heavy trailered mission, and refuse to get stuck anywhere, even in Alaska leaving the dreaded Port through what is probably the worst stretch of mud so far in the game.
It's hard to get stuck in either, whereas my Voron Grad with a trailer can be annoying! Had to redo a long mission because of it. I need to use the P12 more, that's today's mission. I'm hoping to make videos about every truck but we shall see.
The Number 1 truck for me is the Zik-605R! It doesn't easily tip and can get through extremely rough mud, snow, and ice very easily where other trucks can't and it looks bad ass!

Chevrolet CK 1500 pickup truck. But now got to rescue it out of flood in Michigan.
I personally love the Azov one which is on Second position in your video. It made lof of missions easy for me till the time. I sold 3 trucks from Black River to get it.
It's a beast, slow and steady wins the race after all. What my exes used to say anyway.
What about the other Azov that is faster but has a very short range?

Tayga is amazing, even with stock with no upgrades i was able to pull heavy trailers to its destynation. Even if it wasnt easy but if you dont have P16 and low lvl its my favourite.
And if you need to use smal crane you can always use flatbed low trailers with 5 slots and they are more managable if you need to back up a litle or turn around its not hard at all
Someone gets why the Tayga is king.
The Voron AE and the Tayga in this video are als my best friends. I find them even better than most of the much bigger trucks. Because they can equip most of the important stuff, are more handy and quicker. And they don´t miss the power f the bigger trucks. They are the "go anywhere"-trucks of Snowrunner.
I like the starting international ypu get by the first garage that thing is awsome
Same, put the chrome stacks and the visor on it and its killer sweet, but i put the lift kit on it and it has a hard time steering with any kind of trailer
@@raphaelandrade7295 well that starting international is a work horse i played through majority of the game with that as my primary its alittle tricky on climbs but once its figured out it does the job
My game experience changed like night and day when I got it. I was tired of getting stuck in the god awful GMC

My favorite off road vehicle would be Hummer H2; I loved it in the game which inspired spintires and mudrunner imo, the 4x4 Hummer. Still playing it.
Has mostly same stats as starter Chevy pickup truck. KHAN 39 is the best scout

I love the cat truck. Upgrade it fully and it can be a beast! It’s good for most offroad but it’s lack of wheels and shortness make it a lot harder in deep mud.
The Cat CT-680? Cause that’s one of my favourite trucks, mainly cause of the 2 straight stack exhausts with the 45° angle cut on them. Makes me a little annoyed that there’s no Peterbuilt in the game, or more options for tall, thick and dirty lookin’ exhausts...
@@LJT9393 I agree I use the cat ct680 and the paystar5070 alot I have them both fully customized and I think they do awesome. However my opinion on the paystar is kinda biased because I spent most of my childhood riding in my dads international paystar and have since fully restored the truck since he passed away. So naturally I love that truck. Also I would love to see peterbilt come to the game. I own and drive a 02 pete 379 so it would be awesome to see it come to the game!

white western star 4964 with max upgrades and 8-speed gearbox is the beast, it can handle big loads just like p16 but much faster

P16 is the best truck! Prove me if im wrong, because tayga is in the list.
No loadstar love😭 breaks my heart. It's such a monster when you put some work on it. Can haul anything at any weight with just a winch.
There's a chance it will appear in a follow-up truck round-up video, I'm looking into it.
i agree its my second favorite scout truck
The Loadstar is my go to. I named mine Rowdy. Wide wheel base low center of gravity means no more worrying about tipping. I've upgraded everything on it and now all I gotta worry about when i fire it up is hanging on.
@@ATribeCalledCars Just put a liftkit and big tires on it and it will never let you down. And its fast with the right gearing. Try jumping the Airfield in Alaska. I reached far into the Water with it. All other barely reached the water.

He is not fast but i don’t mind which is weird cause i always want to be fast 😂
And for Scouting i love the Yar or the Tatarin
I personally like the KRS 58 "Bandit". It can hold a sideboard/flatbed and a crane at the same time, and while it flips over easier without the correct tires, the lifted suspension kit and some 51" AMHS I Mudtires makes it a beast.
Thanks for the tip. I hated this truck because of how much it tipped over with the crane. I don't think there's a suspension upgrade for it but the tires were enough to make it through an area that I couldn't get past before.
@@llandy123 No problem, however I know there is a suspension upgrade for the Bandit, it might be an upgrade on the map however.
Problem with Bandit is weight distribution, as all weight is at front. Added fact front axles are wider than rear ones makes it feel like nosediving into mud which is pretty bad.
Once you place some cargo on it, it behaves way better as it ballance out.
Having no problem with tipping over, really. Caution advised but its not so bad. There are worse trucks in that regard.
Only exception is crane loading/unloading as anchors arent wide enough and truck's light weight makes it tip easilly if you try lift cargo too far from the truck centre.
Still, best truck for hard mode missions. It just need bit of skill and patience.
Yes cat and p12 are underrated mk38 dominates tho
gotta admit my personal favorite is the F750, things a beast in any terrain once you snag all the upgrades

My personal fav truck is the zikz 605r. It’s powerful, it’s got great tires, 8x8, and can go through mud with out a problem. Of course if the mud reaches your bumper than it may get stuck or in my experiences, keeps going at a slower pace of course. I will admit though it is quite a task to get it though.

Quite simple then. Get a trailer. Attach to Zikz. Get truck with crane on trailer. Take have Zikz take truck with crane to thing that needs crane. Problem solved

Same, I use it even to scout if I just want to get the job done fast. Highrange gearbox, those mud tyres and away you go.

If top 10 American trucks, I think International Fleetstar and Loadstar should be on list. Among trucks with or capable of both AWD and Difflock, Fleetstar is the only one that can tow sideboard trailer properly when both crane and sideboard bed installed thanks to its long frame. Many people don't like it because of poor stability especially with raised suspension, but after get used to it, it's very handy for me. Load star, with Fleetstar's engine, transmission and axles in a scout vehicle and always-on AWD and difflock, this thing is a maniac, like ANK MK38, they are fuel thirsty and small tank, but always reach its destination before run out of fuel because of its crazy speed.

Paystar is my go to and it can have crane, flatbed and pull a trailer.
I used the MK38 from the start, well when i was finally able to afford it. I'm not sure what the difference is with my snowrunner version but has 2 versions of MK38. One is the ANK MK38 Civilian and the other is ANK MK38. I havent been using it much lately as i use it as a scout as well as pulling large trailers when i do use it. Ive been using the crap out of the Caterpillar CT680. My other favorite is the Paystar 5070. I use the Pacific P12 mostly for recoveries and very few deliveries where i need brute force. Ive recently started using the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer and im slowly starting to use it much more for deliveries. Seems to be better in some cases than pulling a trailer. If it had 8 wheel drive (i know about the optional collectable in one of the DLCs) but it would be nearly unstoppable. I also agree with the Cat 745C on the list. Insane power and extremely hard to get it stuck.
Good list Tayga is my fav and most used truck as well. Though I think Derry 4520 should get an honorable mention I find it to be the most fun to drive as managing the gears well makes it a beast.
I do like both Derry trucks and the 4520 is better than the 3194 when things get really tough. The problem was I'd end up listing basically every truck unfortunately!
i havent unlocked all the trucks yet but the ANK is my all around favorite truck so far though it is very easy to tip

I quite like the Cat Ct680 I'm using it in alaska almost fully upgraded and it's just so easy pulling large trailers full of heavy meterials with ease, not great in mud but it's not particularly designed for that it's more Road and off road.
I tend to favour the mud-friendly trucks more as there's so much of it in SnowRunner, but yeah the 680 is a beast in other conditions.
A Tribe Called Cars I’ve noticed when using the 680t that the only 2 areas it cannot operate in is the deep parts of Russia, like really deep, and the mud pit connecting to the survive hub in north port. You know the one.
Good list but in my opinion the best truck for me is the Pacific P12 it has the power and off road capabilities and is a beast overall

The P16 is nice, but I prefer the p12. I traded in for it. It's got AWD and the same engine, plus it's a touch faster. Though it isn't as heavy. I was still able to tow two 4 slot dolly-steer trailers through the swamp in Smithfield dam at the same time with no real issues.
Yeah it was a close call, but I went with the styling of the P16. P12 is definitely good, as is the Kolob I mention. Probably my least favourite class of truck in SnowRunner, but they are sometimes necessary!

I highly recommend the civilian ANK to. because it’s the same truck but supports both the high and low saddles.
The camouflage azov is great as it is fast and stable also if you crash you dont take engine damage as it is in the rear so you can bomb down dirt roads without a care in the world
i got the azov today and its slow but it drives so well. my gmc turns so bad. this azov feels smooth and amazing. gos over tarrain like a boss. but cant pull heavy loads. cat trailer mission.
Personally my favorite is the corona and the international paistar 500

Love the video, well done. I do think the KOLOB 4941(err...I think that's the number) deserves a spot. It's slow....I get it. I own, or owned every truck here. But if I'm really struggling, I get the KOLOB. It'll get the job done. Every time. And I don't have much doubt it would have more pulling power than any truck on this list. Obviously, it's your favorites in this list. This is just my 2 cents worth
I think the Kolob will get a video as it's one I could've put in the list, but if I'd done a best 15 it would've made sense just to do them all haha. It's a great truck.

I just found out about this game, and it looks pretty sweet. I do wish there was more factory street and recreational passenger vehicles that you could customize. Imagine another 50 trucks that you can buy bone stock, and build. Into a Formula Dirt climber or a. Heavily suspended rock crawler

Btw, the almighty TUZ 420 can winch trailers meant for trucks with ease, he can climbe Alaska's biggest mountains(for fun) and he can pull exactly: 238 trucks at the same time, while going trough Taimir's DEEP mud

It gets a little rough to use in russia. It doesnt need much power for the other maps but it starts to struggle in the muddy hills of russia.
Still love the thing but I ended up going with the dan more just for the power
Just an fyi the raised suspension for the VORON AE-4380 can be found in Russia it's one of the 19 hidden upgrades across all of the maps

Really hoping we get a good set of new trucks, upgrades and more customizable options with the DLC’s coming. After completely all the contracts I have my set of trucks that work well for me. I’m kinda disappointed there’s so many trucks that just aren’t good enough to use in late game contracts

The Tayga 6436 can be pretty good in most of michigan, but other than that, Azov 73210 takes the top spot(if you have the active suspension DLC for it)
Both are great, 73210 is probably the king of joint king of SnowRunner...
Just today i traded my Tayga in for the Grad and its definitely the better truck in my eyes - it looks cooler, more modern and both AWD and diffs are switchable too and also with the same size fuel tank so better efficiency, although the Tayga is definitely the winner early game as the Grad is locked, the grad feels slightly lighter and faster and sounds so much better too
Well, switchable diff isn’t exactly a good thing because then you can only have a locked diff in low gear.
@@theorangeofallahpbuh1840 Dont know about that man, saves alot of fuel on road when not needed and also gives you more of a challenge when not using it - also having a switchable diff lets you turn better when switched off on tight trails with a trailer - the tayga has a much bigger turning circle due to the always on diffs
Redeye ROB Always on AWD is not very good, yes, but always on diff lock can be good because it helps you go faster through more diff-icult terrain

You should take a look at the azov 73210. It can have a flatbed and crane and still haul a trailer, it's the truly do it all. The only con is that the front of the truck it's low and it hits almost everywhere and it slows you down
After my best scout showdown video I'll be looking at everything, including this. That versatility is very tempting!
is noone giving the royal some love? it helped me upright one of the biggest trailers.( the mission ones) and helped pull my main truck whilst being fuel efficient. its my go to truck. give it some love.
