One thing that's important and that no one ever mentions in video is what truck is available very early in the game that enables you to get fast XP and money. For me the answer is the Voron AE-4380, because unlike most of the trucks you name here we can buy it pretty much from the start if we have enough money. For someone with an unupgraded Fleetstar or GMC how you gonna get the Tayga deep inside Taymir ? There is simply no way to have those. The Voron AE-4380 can be simply bought in garage, it is fast, powerful, can run through many terrains, is stable and performs well without upgrades. Currently it's even replacing my Khan to explore Michigan and other places, and do some tasks at the same time. And as always don't use the off-road types of gearboxes, they are not worth the increase of fuel consumption imo.

@@WellEnoughToDrive you have to find this mission before it is shown on the map. Drive up to the north over those bridges passing the factory then there is a little camp in the middle of the forest.
I don't think this mission is more efficient. Already getting there from the garage with the APC takes quite some time and you need to have repair and fuel placed at the start point to make an ongoing repeating grind possible. I also find this mission also very boring and slow. This is not fun. I doubt this is more efficient on the long run.
Since I bought it I’ve been a die hard azov 64131 fan but I recently took the tayga down to island lake to do deliveries and I have to admit that thing is an utter monster. It’s ungodly fast and nearly as strong as my azov!
for me the easy way to get more money and exp instantly is to repeatedly do consumables delivery on drill factory, because it is easier to do and the not time consuming though.. only less than 5mins and it's done..
Try using 2 trucks (wenching it) or just one twinsteer (I don't recommend it though) at a time and do food delivery contest at Black River. It's more efficient and maybe earns more cash too. Each round gives me 700 xp with some decent cash in around 4 min of time. I believe it's much easier than those treacherous roads of Drowned Lands. I generally use azof 5319 and tayga, and put up a scout at the contest location to reset it everytime. My best contest finishing time is 1sec. Beat that :) Edit: Maybe it works only pre-level 20. Because now it doesn't work for me anymore.
Guys you can literally do this in coop and just have your friends continuously drive containers to the lumber mill getting up to 4x the amount of experience a hour. Host just needs to accept the task right after the others completes it

but i find that you cant progress much, for example in the final contracts on michigan or when you go to alaska,or when you need to rescue drowned trucks you need better tires im on driver lvl 10 and i need the mud tires
heavy burden, smithville dam, at the bottom of the hill keep going straight across the right side of the field where the fence is, get an upgraded twinsteer, i got consistent 1:50-2:10 in contest, recover and cargo pick up is under a minute. so about 3 minutes a run, so 20 runs an hour. at 370xp and i think 3060 currency a run. 7,400 xp an hour and 61,200 currency an hr. i noticed nobody has done a video on this contest.
The Tayga 6436 seems to be the best truck for doing that repeatable delivery. Just remember to keep the tire size as small as you can, to reduce bouncing around too much and tipping over. Pretty much use High gear for the whole trip, except for the 2 short cuts - go low gear there. 5:20 is my best with all terrain tires.
@@FishyFelix It's amazing how many real truckies play a truck game, although I guess off-roading is very different to on-road. Assuming that's what you do.
I'm going to come forward as That Guy and admit that I do this with the Mastodon. It does the job very handily and despite it being rather slow, I can usually turn in an average time of 5:05 because it just doesn't slow down for anything, and is very hard to tip. Accordingly, it makes this route very low stress. I'm quite sure I can get below five minutes with practice. [EDIT: Got it to 4:51, in the fog. I think I can knock it down to under 4:45 with a new race line I'm developing that doesn't require the three-point at the hairpin. Can't get it every time, but it's definitely there.] One point for my fellow Pay2Win sellouts is that you HAVE to take the full length of the first hairpin turn. That's the only route that doesn't get the overhanging cockpit buried in the stream bank at the crossing. You have to three-point it, and this is the only really tricky part. I've not tipped yet, but if it'll happen anywhere, it will happen here. The rest of it, you can follow Dec's route.
I went from no damage to fully damage in less then 2 minute (from garage not ready to jump off the cliff) and I'm quite sure you can't beat my time..... Michigan - Smithville Dam.
If you buy the Season 5 Build and Dispatch update with the Tatra Factory Grounds and Antonovsky Nature Reserve and eventually acquire the Tatra Phoenix, the Tatra Phoenix is perfect for this job here if you equip it with a high-range gearbox.
Nice vids. Trucktastic game. Have you done a quick guide to getting out of scrapes without returning to the garage? Like what to do when you stall? Why won’t the thing restart after it’s stalled? I thought stalling was not that serious until ‘norunner rolled up. How can you refuel en route? What do you do if you find a big truck and youre running on fumes in a scout? What is planning all about? etc.
I have thought about it hence the two tips guides, but I could be more specific. I know they for every viewer that complains these things are too simple, 10 probably will find it useful! And thanks, it's definitely trucktastic.
Yea but the flatbed sits slightly lower than the sideboard. I was using the sideboard bed at first but lost cargo often, switching to flatbed made it happen less but I also stopped trying stupid stuff so maybe I just got smarter about traversing the terrain
I know that everyone is going to call bs but I have the raised suspension for the Voron AE it isn't as good as the tayga 6436 and before you ask I am on PlayStation with no updates which means three things 1 my upgrade locations are switched 2 my p16 has all-wheel drive always on and 3 I have 5× more "features" than a Bethesda game.
Russia's first contest is impossible. 45 degree banked roads are a definite rollover fest. Add to that, I need two minutes to draw up a route on the map. Without doing that I'll be lost and take every wrong turn in a panic. I can't function when rushed.
@@ATribeCalledCars we've always done that. The problem is pulling out. With a stick I can shift in a fraction of a second and at a higher RPM. It sounds like its got an automatic car transmission and the turbo is still wound up. when empty i can out accelerate minivans and economy cars. With the automatic its shifting like they teach truck driving students and can't beat anything. Every shift takes a full second, it eases into the power, and the turbo has to spool up again. The scary part is pulling away from yield signs in busy areas. If you see a hole and try to quick jump in, sometimes, it will just drift into the intersection flipping through the gears, not knowing what to do. And there's nothing you can do but sit there screaming at the truck to go and cursing out the morons that thought this was a good idea. What really scares me with this automatic is snow and ice. When I have full control of the engine, transmission, and brakes i can make any vehicle dance on snow. Now that I only have control of the steering wheel, I know I'm going to get stuck at some point.
my problem is getting xp to get to the only logical tires to use, mud tires and offroad tires, which is locked behind several hours of play time of almost suffering without them
Damn, I actually managed to finish this contest in under 3 mins with 2 min 41. I used the Tayga with highrange gearbox. I was all the time in highrange gear , modulating the throttle only. Truck was going so fast that I almost rolled over in certain spots and of course it took a beating on the suspension. There's a spot where you cross the creek that's not too deep and if you hit it at the right angle, usually 45 degrees, you won't lose momentum. 100% the best contest to earn money and xp.
I shall try to take the creek at a different angle, it's definitely not the most efficient how I do it but the gathering of trees on the right is annoying.
@@ATribeCalledCars I improved my run and I still think it's possible to get it in under 2:35 or close to 2:30 here's my video run lol , made a few mistakes that made the truck bounce, I messed up the entry angles. ua-cam.com/video/NdbrJAMeWxc/v-deo.html
nice content i enjoy your videos :-) perhaps some inspiration for playing around. test out some scouts handling w/ without add-ons. as in: take 4 x hummers in different colours, 2 with stock and 2 with raised suspension, each group have 1 with and one without add-ons (truck supplies-roof rack) and then test them against each other.. I have found i enjoy my hummer with stock susp. and no add-ons. it also prevents it from tipping over doing donuts. i only put add-ons on scouts if it serves a specific task.
I was thinking of doing more detailed versus videos, just depends on time. I'm looking into it. You're definitely right, sometimes I remove the raised suspension upgrade if I don't need it.
I’ve never used any exploits or glitches, because the game does these glitches for me. I just exit the game at night when I’m done, AND THEN WHAM I JUST HAVE DOUBLE CARS! My snow runner grind was killed because the game glitches itself.
As good as the game is they really need up the dmg numbers when u crash/fall of mountains. Reson 06:30. That fall dident cause any driving hindering dmg atall. In mudrunner that truck would have exploaded. Given the size of the map recalling as an option is nearly mandatory, but why not add a timer for repairing. The more dmg u got the longer the time untill u can use that truck again.
That's not a bad idea. I think a hardcore mode would be cool so the more casual gamer can enjoy as is while those who want the full-on offroad simulation experience can switch it on and everything is tougher.
Hmm it's better to do this container job with long haul axle trailer than you can pick up 3 containers. And second thing is when your tires are more wide then your stability is Lower. Best truck in game oskoshkoshos
Hey Ben... tried today with the Tayga... 2:57 was my best time, but i believe if i can put all together, can delievery in 2:52-54. Mostly of time i did it in 3:03~3:07.
Run some basic tasks or find a truck or two in the wild and sell. Your level restricts your progress - offroad and mud tyres make the most difference but take time to get. Some trucks get you there sooner.
Hi Maybe you can help me. I bought the Hori Steering Wheel for the Snowrunner game. How do you set navigation points and connect them? The steering wheel goes east to west but not north to south to connect the waypoints.
@@DieTabbi if you can manage to get the western star it's a good all round truck or if u want to make it easier go to russia and recover the tayga.or sell some things and buy the paystar.i personally liked the challenge of using the average trucks at the start tho

Hi I've just added you on UA-cam and I like how you do things just like me lol. I'm driving a ANK MK38 and a Hummer H2, I've been playing this game for sometime now and some of the map's on here is OK but some is a pain in the rear end. My big problem is the Kola Peninsula map it's hard to get around on there and you get one vehicle because the other vehicles you got to look for them can you help a old man out please 😂
Thanks for joining the tribe! It's definitely a pain sometimes, especially when you're new. I would suggest getting the DAN 96320 or Tayga 6436 from in Russia (these are in the wild so can be rescued) or buy the Azov 64131. These are good, stable trucks although they do really shine with some upgrades. You can usually see where trucks are on a map by looking around once you've reached some watchtowers. Or you can get a little help and use MapRunner.info as this has everything, but it's less fun. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@aditya5729 really? cause i can do it in 2:45-50. and even though the pay is little. due to the quickness of the mission, wouldnt it be 2 of this 1 mission ?
The easiest way to get money is just have the game duplicate trucks for you. I don't know why but it keeps duplicating at least one truck every time I play. Singleplayer, co-op (hosting or joining) it just keeps duplicating trucks. The extra money is cool but makes the game sometimes very unstable.

I said any timed contest will work so people can pick and choose :) Also I like the speed element of this one as I say in the video, but you're right you can stick to other maps.

Great video! Tried it out in the Tayga and finally got down to a 3:03! Thank you for putting together all of your vids :)
You are welcome, this is pretty old but definitely still works.
Collect the crate before starting and aim for that small dirt road saving a bit of time ; )
for me the easy way to get more money and exp instantly is to repeatedly do consumables delivery on drill factory, because it is easier to do and the not time consuming though.. only less than 5mins and it's done..
Good tip, cheers.
which map is that on? usually after a job to send consumable over it ended and can not be repeated isny it?
Try using 2 trucks (wenching it) or just one twinsteer (I don't recommend it though) at a time and do food delivery contest at Black River. It's more efficient and maybe earns more cash too. Each round gives me 700 xp with some decent cash in around 4 min of time. I believe it's much easier than those treacherous roads of Drowned Lands.
I generally use azof 5319 and tayga, and put up a scout at the contest location to reset it everytime.
My best contest finishing time is 1sec. Beat that :)
Edit: Maybe it works only pre-level 20. Because now it doesn't work for me anymore.
Guys you can literally do this in coop and just have your friends continuously drive containers to the lumber mill getting up to 4x the amount of experience a hour. Host just needs to accept the task right after the others completes it
I'm pretty sure they fixed this. When I tried it in coop everyone got his own xp and money. Please confirm.
White Valley - Weather Forecast - Tatarin - 4 mins to complete for $6950, but you can take up to seven.
I don't think this mission is more efficient. Already getting there from the garage with the APC takes quite some time and you need to have repair and fuel placed at the start point to make an ongoing repeating grind possible. I also find this mission also very boring and slow. This is not fun. I doubt this is more efficient on the long run.
Snorwunner is all about the journey imho. Plan every movement to cash in trailers or move fuel or preplace cargo...
but i find that you cant progress much, for example in the final contracts on michigan or when you go to alaska,or when you need to rescue drowned trucks you need better tires im on driver lvl 10 and i need the mud tires
Uhhhhhhhh I just grab some ATs find where the cargo is then gas it am I playing the game wrong?
@@EB_musik if it works then I'd say no
@@zachsteele6964 ohhh it works mint 👌
heavy burden, smithville dam, at the bottom of the hill keep going straight across the right side of the field where the fence is, get an upgraded twinsteer, i got consistent 1:50-2:10 in contest, recover and cargo pick up is under a minute. so about 3 minutes a run, so 20 runs an hour. at 370xp and i think 3060 currency a run. 7,400 xp an hour and 61,200 currency an hr. i noticed nobody has done a video on this contest.
You can do this about 7 minutes with Tayga and universal tires. So if you are low with cash and exp this is option for you.
Thanks for making a guide for money and xp without hacking!
Not a problem.
Nice, it really does do a good job. High gear for the win!
@@ATribeCalledCars I'm a real life truck driver and you need zero experience to buy decent tires and chains. Lol, silly SnowRunner game mechanics.
@@FishyFelix It's amazing how many real truckies play a truck game, although I guess off-roading is very different to on-road. Assuming that's what you do.
@@ATribeCalledCars I used to off-road... Strictly highway now. I like being clean too much to go back.
@@FishyFelixwhere at? I've always been fascinated with off road trucking.
Can't get it every time, but it's definitely there.]
One point for my fellow Pay2Win sellouts is that you HAVE to take the full length of the first hairpin turn.
Three spare parts delivery to the Farm near Smithville Dam garage is super fast it's about two minutes max, but you need a decently upgraded Twinsteer
Nice, I'll have a look.
Awesome, splicing in I saw a tiger...lol..great video man!
It had to be done haha.
Also you can already have the cargo container before you start it lol. makes it so much faster.
Yeah I think sometimes doing that and going the other route is faster.
Smithville Damm Heavy Burden contest with the twin steer takes about 1:45, recover and repeat make about $3000 every 2 min not to bad
Thanks for the heads-up. I love the TwinSteer.
Awesome first video of yours I've seen, will definitely be checking out more thanks!
Welcome aboard, I have made quite a few SnowRunner videos so feel free to check them out! Thanks for the nice feedback.
I ran it in 2:32 with Crazy's...Icebreaker. I went from rank 8 to 30 in a day. I never want to do that time trial again! I added that run to my YT.
Tayga...nicw versatyle trucj...9ne of my favs
Thanks for the useful and entertaining video as always. Cool vehicle at the end.
Cheers! Yes, the latest Jimny is a magnificent beast. Should be in the game.
Yea but the flatbed sits slightly lower than the sideboard. I was using the sideboard bed at first but lost cargo often, switching to flatbed made it happen less but I also stopped trying stupid stuff so maybe I just got smarter about traversing the terrain
I agree, it does seem to help lower the centre of gravity.
@@ATribeCalledCars thanks! That's reassuring
Yup, I prefer the flatbed. Finally got off-road tires and got a run time of 4:40.
You can also preload the item in the truck then start the timed run
Yeah for my speed runs I do exactly that.
You are just the best person ever!!!😀
Well maybe not the best but I am glad I could help lol.
Great job on the video, very informative.
Cheers, hopefully you like my other videos.
Russia's first contest is impossible. 45 degree banked roads are a definite rollover fest. Add to that, I need two minutes to draw up a route on the map. Without doing that I'll be lost and take every wrong turn in a panic. I can't function when rushed.
It's definitely tippy but I find tapping the steering instead of full lock is enough and helps you avoid rolling the truck as much.
Heavy Burden can be completed in less than 2 mins using the Twinsteer
Impressive!
We NEED!! Gravel and sand to improve the roads we USE.!
I love the mechanics of this game
So, so satisfying!
It is indeed
Don't worry about the automatic fiddling with gears and slowing you down. That's exactly how it is in the real world and its a real pain in the neck.
Haha yeah I can imagine some truck drivers screaming when cars slow them down unnecessarily.
Now that I only have control of the steering wheel, I know I'm going to get stuck at some point.
my problem is getting xp to get to the only logical tires to use, mud tires and offroad tires, which is locked behind several hours of play time of almost suffering without them
ive been playing for hours and still havent unlocked a single fking tire that can be used for anything
Great content. 🤘👍
Thank you!
I'm starting to see that money is almost pointless in this game
Yeah levels are more restrictive than cash, you just need to rescue a couple of trucks and away you go. Or do this a few times.
Yes for sure. Rescue a couple decent trucks you got 200-300k and that's really all you need since you buy and sell for the same price.
Zimnigorsk got a challenge delivering 2 metal planks that hands 1000+ xp, doable within 5 min.
Good shout!
A Tribe Called Cars No problem, check it out!
Be cause of you I'm actually going to try these challenges,I played since release and skipped them..... my bad
I didn't know they were repeatable for a while, you're not alone.
I wonder if a upgraded CAT would be a good choice for this challenge ?
It can work definitely because of the cargo slot, but it's quite slow. Worth a try with the Highrange gearbox, see what you can do.
I like it that it isn't a glitch
Same, I know you can edit files and glitch but I don't want to break the game. Just make it easier for people to get where they want to go.
You freaking kill it dude
Thanks so much!
Lost my saved game had to start over,
Used this to get my level up to 14 an almost $200.000 an only have 4% completed lol
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful.
A Tribe Called Cars : You do a great job with your videos,
Full of very useful information!
Your my go to for snow runner information!
A Tribe Called Cars : The first thing I did was catch a flight to Russia and Tow home Tayga 6436! Lol
nice content i enjoy your videos :-) perhaps some inspiration for playing around. test out some scouts handling w/ without add-ons. as in: take 4 x hummers in different colours, 2 with stock and 2 with raised suspension, each group have 1 with and one without add-ons (truck supplies-roof rack) and then test them against each other..
Well if you didn't do it on purpose! Having one or two duplicates isn't soooo bad as that's two or three upgrades trucks basically.
I have the International Paystar. is there any other truck that will help in Michigan?
That one is decent. Especially when upgraded. The DAN or Tayga from Russia are also great, or buy the Azov 64131.
I under the idea, however I'm not even through 1 area in Alaska and I have $550,000 spare? 6 trucks total. only level 17.
If you're making good money, enjoy the game. The glitch is more for anyone struggling or wanting a cash injection.
Hmm it's better to do this container job with long haul axle trailer than you can pick up 3 containers. And second thing is when your tires are more wide then your stability is Lower. Best truck in game oskoshkoshos
Can you release a guide for the most "fluid" playthrough? Really really not interested in grinding a contest over and over
Hey Ben... tried today with the Tayga... 2:57 was my best time, but i believe if i can put all together, can delievery in 2:52-54. Mostly of time i did it in 3:03~3:07.
How about using the apc on the mission called weather forcast in alaska white valley
I'm at the beginning ! I have a stock truck and hardly any money ! What can I do to beef up truck and make money ?
Run some basic tasks or find a truck or two in the wild and sell. Your level restricts your progress - offroad and mud tyres make the most difference but take time to get. Some trucks get you there sooner.
Hi Maybe you can help me. I bought the Hori Steering Wheel for the Snowrunner game. How do you set navigation points and connect them? The steering wheel goes east to west but not north to south to connect the waypoints.
I can't believe you like money too!
It's better to cry in a Bentley.
Great tip. But I am on Smithville Dam map, so how can I use your tip? We need XP and money at the beginning not only in mid game
DieTabbi do the food delivery contest. Something like $3700 for each trip in about 4 minutes.
Yeah I used that one and then the alaska weather time trail and I'm level 29 and have all the trucks I want.only took around 3-4hours of grinding
Sam Parnell which is a good starting truck? I use the first fleetstar what next? And thank you
@@DieTabbi if you can manage to get the western star it's a good all round truck or if u want to make it easier go to russia and recover the tayga.or sell some things and buy the paystar.i personally liked the challenge of using the average trucks at the start tho
You can travel whenever you want using retain and the global map? I skipped to Alaska and Russia early on. Search around for watchtowers to help you find vehicles or check the description for a useful location tool.
What is the name of the orange truck that was towing the trailer?
have u tried exploring parts of map that are gray even after all watch towers i’ve heard there are upgrades and tasks in there and you should mention double clutching for getting faster times on that contest helps alot
I found a great website that shows all hidden upgrades. I would never have found them through normal gameplay :)
Yeah there are hidden upgrades, I use a map tool because of making videos but it's nice exploring for some of them.
A Tribe Called Cars how bout the double clutching
I did a run in 2.57 minutes on my first try with the tayga
Speedy!
“~$60k an hour...” *me selling an engine* 70k in 3 seconds 👁👄👁
I believe the farming mission in michigan is quicker
Not really you can really do it under 3 min with highrange gearbox and some fast trucks and also it doesn't give high yeild
I've not had this happen yet, not sure why!
Any tips for XP/Money early on in game?
Check out my essential tips video. Finding and selling trailers and unwanted trucks is a great way. Find a repeatable challenge for XP.
Apparently there are limited attempts to this challenge. Does that mean that after the attempts are used up i gain no more xp/money?
I think that's only on hard mode or New Game + setting. Unless the devs changed it in normal mode. In which case, you'll have to play normally.
@@ATribeCalledCars Wow thanks for the quick reply! Ends up, it still works i just got scared from that text on the task. I'm still ranking up after a couple of completions! Thank you for the great video!
How do you use diff lock while in high gear?
You can't, which is why the highrange gearbox usually works best with trucks that have diff lock always on.
i can't see contest. do i need to reached certain rank before doing contest?
It might be that you have to find the watchtower or physically drive to it, I can't remember.
We want episode for best trucks at yukon
My cousin came over the other day n he wakes me up saying he's buying me snow runner so we can grind n I was like na don't do that n he said u don't undersrand... u take 4 hours doing 1 trip .. well I started a mission later that night . At like 10 30 ish . He went to bed I was like ok well I continue my story mode or w.e long story short .... It was almost 4 30 am .. N i didn't finish the mission ACTUALLY I got about a 100 in game yards if that. Prolly 30 m .. from said destination to COMPLETE the mission and the fucking truck rolled n all the cargo was everywhere n I ran out of gas AFTER I got the truck flipped... ya .. this game is on another level... just buy that jeep add on. A Mixture between Mud mud and mud😂
I like to be specific. Did I mention the mud?
I'm low level and don't have decent tyres :( tired of getting stuck in the mud :(

How to increase fuel capacity?
By fitting addons or dragging another trailer or truck with you. There's no fuel tank capacity increase.
@@ATribeCalledCars thank you for replying 😊
Why you like to complicate your life? There is the same "xp machine" in Black River. 300xp every 3 or 4 minutes. Here you gain more xp but the route looks less easy also for experienced players. In Blac River content in 10 mins (2 runs) you can gain 600xp in a pretty simple route ;)
I said any timed contest will work so people can pick and choose :) Also I like the speed element of this one as I say in the video, but you're right you can stick to other maps.
Just clocked a 03.02... what's yours again? Edit: 03.00
2:48 with the Voron AE, bit more with the Tayga although I've not done a clean run in that truck yet. 3:00 is fast!
Review Azov 73210 pls
Let me add it to the list of potentials :)
i got nothing super secret or fast to make money, just take the big jobs, take your time, plan your routes, sell trailers when you find them, sell trucks when you find them to boost the money you have, and just keep picking up jobs to do.
So what was your time you never said it I did it in 5 minutes and 36 second and I use the white Western star 4964
I think I got it down to under three minutes in the end, not tried for a while.
Edit your save game file. Max level day one
