I did control arms on a 2010 Camry in the fall and it was a little more complicated than most cars. The engine mounts had to be removed to gain access to a bolt that secures the control arm. That's when I discovered that one of the motor mounts was shot. Some good points to remember in this video, thanks Hector.
Thank you ManicMechanic007 for the information. I don't know if I would be doing this job but it's great information. As soon as I get home I'm going to 📌 your comment
You really did an excellent job showing what is actually wrong. I have a 2006 Matrix with 165k which I work on myself and it still runs perfect thanks to people like you. Subscribed.
Great vid man. I've watched a few before yours & they didn't give very good information. Yours was straight to the point with good info. Thank you. I appreciate your work.
Those sway bar links goes on all the cars that have them! It's very difficult to see what the problem is when you don't have someone there to watch the front end while you're shaking it, and letting us know about checking the axle is a good call because i actually had a car that was shaking, and it came out to be the axle, and it wasn't even ripped! Great job Hector, LATER!!!
Sway bar link, not control arm. Good video but would double check part name first. Don’t want to cause confusion or have people order/replace the wrong part(s).
I have a 2012 Camry in changing the Axel's in the morning when I got it I knew it needed breaks but this shaking is something different I got a gut feeling it's them and this main road in my city did a number on my car this month
Excellent suspension inspection. Very helpful. Good video. But don't you want to start vibrating steering wheel analysis with potential out of balance front tire/rim or tires/rims? I thought that was the orthodox sequence. What is your thought on this? Thanks!
@nonemechanic101 When I turn my steering wheel from a stop wheel reversing, my passenger side makes a clucking/boom sound. Could this be the tie rods? I had the outer tie rods replaced two years ago

Thanks for sharing, my old Grand Caravan ate them sway bar links on these bad roads. Thanks for sharing.

good job, but you should check the struts also bad strut will make a lot of noise also.
You're absolutely correct. Thank you
That is sway bar end link…not control arm…the sound you when moving at 9 and 3 position is steering wheel moving.
You're absolutely correct

I got a 07 Avalon
It can also be the axle
It's called stabilizer bar link not control arm
Thank you
Sway bar links
Were they hearing noise at low speed?
Sorry I don't remember.
What about if you have rims?
Not understanding the question
How many miles did it have on it
If I remember correctly it was about 150,000
Thanks buddy
You're welcome👍
at 2:30 thats not a control arm its a stabilizer link
Thank you
Isn't that a sway and links
Yes my bad
did the tie rod replacement fix the steering wheel shake?
The tie rod did the job
