I really love reading through the Bible plan this way. I’m so glad that Pastors Will and Deborah Bullock from Jubilee suggested this in morning prayer. I’m in Kansas and I’m glad I’m starting the New Year 2025 with God’s Word. I’m expecting great things this year.
Reading the Bible this way has been incredible. Not only just reading the Bible, but being able to learn history and context has been so impactful. Thank you Pastor!
The timeless truth is so powerful. Judas wanted Jesus to be something he told him he was not (Military leader). It cost Judas his soul and his life. Bad theology had me looking at God as my Genie. The "prosperity gospel" almost had me believing I was not saved enough is the reason it did not work for me. What a word! The Bible shows me who Jesus is. God help me to accept who you are and not try to make you into something you are not. Then blaming you for failing me when it is not even what you said it would be according to your word. Thank you Dr Manny such powerful truths and I sight. I'm learning to find Jesus all the time in reading. The context of the insiders and outsiders is truly bringing more understanding. God bless you for sharing. I do look forward to taking course in ARMA. My appetite is wet and I'm hungry!!!!
Day 7 ✅ I am grateful for a plan to follow to help me stay consistent. The last time I read the Bible front to back was the first time I ever had. I had read the Bible a lot but never in its entirety so I was motivated to complete it, this time I am reading it to dig deeper and learn more so I am very grateful for this plan to follow and the podcast to watch and listen to for context. Keep it going strong y’all
Day 7 - Reading and episode completed! I was excited about reading 20-22, especially 21. Thanks, PM, for the nerdy nuggets, context clues, and timeless truth. In speaking about Jesus, I'm glad you ended it with mentioning Peter. It's as if Jesus is suggesting for those who think Judas committed such a heinous act in betraying Jesus. Well, Peter could be labeled as "the worst offender" by his actions. Following....but at a distance!
This has really blessed my soul. I first heard him preach at Social Dallas he just finished his doctorate if I'm not mistaken and the message was so latent that I understood every word he said so I knew if Dr. Manny would be covering a bible class I had to attend. Cant wait to start reading his book Brain Washed-Overcoming Toxic Thoughts! Blessings ALL!
@thebibledept In Luke 22:36-38, Jesus instructs his disciples to sell their cloaks to buy swords. When they say they have two swords, Jesus replies, "It is enough." Then, in verse 49, when they try to use those swords to defend him, he says, "No more of this." What is the significance of the swords? ⚔️
I LOVE reading the Bible this way! This is transforming my mind.
