  • How do you trust God even when life isn’t fair and you suffer for no good reason? Job’s story invites us to consider what it means that God runs the world by wisdom, and how this truth can bring peace in dark times. Job is the last of the three books that explore these themes of biblical wisdom.
00:00 Overview of books of wisdom in the Bible
00:50 The satan inflicts suffering on Job
02:14 Job curses the day he was born
02:26 Job's friends come to offer help
03:28 Job demands that God explain himself
04:40 The point of the story of Job
    05:20 God restores Job

@@taqtikal1941 I don't put my hope on that. I know my pain has a purpose. It's for God's purpose and God's purpose is for the ultimate good. So even if I suffer eternally I'll do it willingly and not blame or accuse God of anything. Just thanking him for being there and doing what is necessary for his ultimate good. If I didn't know God I would have killed myself which may have deprived someone else finding his truth through me. I'll still try to fight the suicidal urges for God's sake because suicide would go against God's purpose for me. I even see myself having this pain in heaven. Of course I'll be at peace with God's presence and satisfied by his grace but that's satisfaction keeps me going on and is sufficient for my existence. Happiness I won't have. People have faith because they suffer. They suffer under a ruthless globalized capitalist system, and because of that we need comfort in our day to day struggles. I know this because I've read Marx, and the rich ruling classes(who also own and influence organized religion) don't want you to understand Marx, religion is very useful to them.
I'm not saying God isn't real, I'm saying that the powerful forces at work exist because of the system, the humble hard working masses, unbeknown to them, generously give their power to the capitalist class when all workers don't fight for decent standards of living.

The engine seized not even 5 minutes from it. All I had to do was pick up some light items. i was depending on that job I have $10 to my name. Currently not sure what to do all of my money is self generated and requires my car. i'm likely going to go knock doors in my neighborhood bcus I have a bit of a sales background. I have a family member I'm hoping can borrow a car from but I'm not sure how itll go. Regardless, God is in control. Atleast I had some food in the fridge have a pot roast going but uhhh.. yeah lol. He needed to understand. We all do. He came to understand by understanding that God's wisdom is beyond his understanding.
He refuted the "friends" explanations as Jesus refuted legal explanations that did not come out of an awareness and relationship with God.
Both Job and Jesus had that relationship.
They both could do this because their love for God was unmovable, deep, part of them.
In a way I see Job as a prophetic figure of Jesus.

God did not restore his first children. Because they were dead. God gave Job three new daughters and seven new sons. Neither did he restore his wife. She was dead. So those children came from another mother.
Surely God gave him those human beings in his life to love, to look after them, and not as posesions.... Frankly it makes for a hard reading, considering I am a woman and a mother... ...if God had done that to me... how could he "replace" my children?? no child can replace another...
It would interesting if Job had written what all this new children and possessions ment to him. Maybe he had known all the way that they were only there to praise God.

So back in July 2019 I was a mess. Drinking, crying, just upset at God for taking both my parents by the time I was just 29 y/o. I was so sad & lonely. That night I prayed, I asked God, “what should I read in the Bible?” (A friend suggested I ask Him this). Kid you not...as I’m sleeping, I heard a voice-very calm, slow & just soothing whisper in my ear, “Job”. Never heard of Job before this. Never knew anything about Job. I woke up & remembered hearing “Job” & let me tell you...it restored my trust & faith in Jesus like 1000! Ok! Been on fire for Him ever since & it’s been the best times of my life living for Him! I lost my 29 year old son just 2 weeks ago. I'm struggling. I keep asking God "why?!" And "why now?" My son had 2 young daughters. My son was just beginning to really become mature, becoming a good dad to BOTH his girls, and he and I had the past year of getting to a great mom/son bond that had eluded us for several years. Why God WHY? I hope and I pray that my son had received Jesus in his last unconscious moments before eternity. Therefore, he hates and despises what God loves, which is you and your son. It's why Satan torments you with these thoughts. Satan knows he can do nothing to God, so he (Satan) works constantly to hurt the things that God loves most...which is you. Father in Heaven, please give this good man and good father your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give him strength, courage and wisdom to face each day knowing that you are in complete control, and that this good father will one day see his good son again with you in eternity and where no harm will ever come to either of them again. This I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

When my mother died I was 16. I used to pray every single day for her. When she died unexpectedly, I lost my faith afterwards.
Now at 21, I've regained it stronger than ever before. I'd never even opened a bible before, and now I've been exploring the word of the Lord more and more each day. I can truthfully say that my faith did waiver, and for that I will always be sorry to the Lord. But He will never lose me again, at least I hope not. I hope I am strong enough to persevere through life's struggles and always stay humble and kind.
Please dear Lord, give all of your loyal children the strength to persevere through life's miseries, and to praise your name when things are bad AND when things are good.

Before I actually became a Christian, this was one of two books of the Bible that I had read to genuinely understand - because they were required readings in a (secular) course on the Bible at a completely secular university. The other required book was Genesis. And so, when I started seeking God, for purely selfish reasons, 10 years later, these two books Genesis and Job - weighed heavily on my understanding of the Gospels and Christian theology. I get the sense many people who fall away from Christianity - especially young seminarians, some of whom seem to enter their professional religious studies with well-intentioned, but ultimately self-defeating pollyannish beliefs about Christianity - may not have a strong grounding in just who God realistically is, and what his rights realistically are. But with Job and Genesis rolling around in my head the entire time I was a self-professed atheist then agnostic, I think I was fortuitously prepared to meet Jesus with realistic expectations . I think this was indeed God’s plan for me, the way he prepared my heart to accept the Gospel. I came to Christ at age 29, am 60 today, and hope to die within the faith.

Hi, James, Thanks for your thoughtful comments. I grew up in a Christian home, attended church every Sunday enthusiastically, and the thing that was most challenging to my faith was attending a liberal Christian college where religion courses typically looked for ways to stir up doubt rather than faith. I have a hard time understanding that to this day other than the observation that an overly intellectual approach to the Bible and our relationship with God is counterproductive.
In the years following, through much prayer and additional study of God's Word, I now have a much stronger faith now than had my faith never been challenged. As Joseph said in the book of Genesis (chapter 50, verse 20), "What you (his brothers who sold him into slavery) intended for harm, God transformed into good and for the saving of many lives."
In terms of understanding the book of Job, I might only add a verse from the letter of James, what I consider to be the Wisdom book of the New Testament:
"So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession." (Chapter 1:16-18)

As a little kid, I was diagnosed with asthma, and pre-diabetes both gone now. When I was in high school, I had really bad anxiety to the point where I didn’t wanna leave my room had to take medication for it. Thank God I don’t have crushing anxiety anymore. When I turn 21 I was diagnosed with glaucoma in both eyes three years later after praying to Jesus to be healed. I don’t have glaucoma anymore. I reach 30 I was diagnosed with diabetes. Pray to God, I ate well and I exercised, and I don’t have diabetes anymore thank God. Throughout it, all, I have learned to love the Lord with my entire being. Because no matter what I go through it’s his presence in my life that brings me peace.

      ‏Dear recipient,
‏I invite you to read this message because it is very, very important.
‏We kindly request that you take a few moments of your time to read this letter because it is possible that this letter will open up a new dimension of your role a human being in this universe. We hope that you are a free, broad-minded person free from prejudice whose goal is to find the truth. Before we continue, let us declare to you the purpose of this letter - that it is an introduction and invitation to the lifestyle known as Islam.
      ‏SOME FACTS
‏Islam has approximately 1 billion followers known as Muslims who follow the final revelation to mankind, known as the "Qur'an", revealed to Prophet Muhammad about 1400 years ago. Contrary to the common misconception, only about 20% of all Muslims are Arabs, the rest are Indians, Indonesians, Bosnians,Africans,Chinese, turkish and so on
      .
      ‏WHAT IS ISLAM
‏Islam, unlike most other religions, is not named after any man. Instead Islam means the submission of one's will to the only true god worthy of worship "Allah" and anyone who does so is termed a "Muslim". The word also implies "peace" which is the natural consequence of total submission to the will of Allah. Islam is the religion that was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of Allah, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind like Jesus and Moses
      .
      ‏THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM
‏The most important message of Islam is the absolute Unity of God-that there is only One Supreme Being who has no partners and is not dependent on anyone or anything. He is the creator of everything and the whole universe is under His control. Since the total submission of one's will to Allah represents the essence of worship, Islam is the worship of Allah alone and the avoidance of worship directed to any person, place or thing other than Allah. In essence, Islam calls man away from the worship of creation and invites him to worship only its Creator. Allah is the only one deserving man's worship as it is only by His will that prayers are answered. Hence prayers to the non-living such as the sun, fire, and to humans whether they be Jesus, Moses or even Muhammad are rejected, as Allah informs us in the opening chapter of the Qur'an, known as Soorah Al-Faatihah, verse 4:
‏"You alone do we worship and from you alone do we seek help."
‏A Muslim believes that Allah and His creation are distinctly different
‏entities. Neither is Allah His creation or a part of it, nor is His creation Him or a part of Him. Ultimately, it is the belief that the essence of Allah is everywhere in His creation or that His divine being is or was present in some aspects of His creation, which has provided justification for the worship of creation. Islam, hence, is a clear call to the worship of the Creator and the rejection of creation-worship in any form.
      ‏THE MIRACLE OF QUR'AN
‏"And if you are in doubt as to what We [Allah] have revealed…then produce a Soorah (chapter) like thereunto"(Soorah Baqarah 2:23)
‏This was the challenge put forth by Allah in the Qur'an 1400 years ago. As of yet, none has or will ever come close to meeting this challenge. Hence, as a result, multitudes throughout the centuries have believed and continue to believe in the Qur'an as a revelation beyond any human capacity. Modern scientists, for instance, have been amazed by the accuracy of scientific information presented in the Qur'an. Here are just a few examples:
‏In his book of embryology-'The Developing Human' [W.B. Saunders Publishing, 1982], Dr. Keith Moore added a whole chapter to discuss the scientific accuracy of the Quranic discussion of this science. Another eminent scientist, Dr. Maurice Bucaille wrote in his book-'The Bible, the Qur'an and Science':
‏"I could not find a single error in the Qur'an…if a man was the author of the Qur'an how could he have written facts in the 7th century A.D. that today are shown to be in keeping with modern scientific knowledge"
‏Facts about astronomy, the animal world and other natural phenomenon, that were alien to modern science not long ago, are scattered among the messages of Allah's Unity and His Attributes throughout the miracle that is known as al-Qur'an
      .
‏WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER RELIGIONS
‏There are so many sects, cults, religions, philosophies, and movements in the world, all of which claim to be the right way or the only true path to Allah. How can one determine which one is correct or if, in fact, all are correct? The method by which the answer can be found is to clear away the superficial differences in the teachings of the various religions, and identify the central object of worship to which they call, directly or indirectly. False religions all have in common one basic concept concerning Allah: they either claim that all human beings are gods or that specific individuals were Allah or that nature is Allah or that Allah is a figment of man's imagination. For example, Prophet Jesus invited his followers to worship Allah but those who claim to be his followers today call people to worship Jesus, claiming that he was Allah while Jesus himself would deny this as Allah says in the Qur'an:
‏"And behold Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary Did you say to men, Worship me and my mother as gods besides Allah; He [Jesus] will say-"Glory to You I could never say what I had no right (to say')" (Soorah Al-Maa'idah- 5:116)
‏Even though false religions might teach some good things, they all, however, teach the greatest evil- the worship of creation. Creation-worship is the greatest sin that man can commit because it contradicts the very purpose of his creation, which is the worship of Allah as explained in the following verses:
‏"Verily Allah will not forgive the joining of partners with Him, but He may forgive (sins) less than that for whom so ever He wishes" (Soorah An- Nisaa 4:48 and 116)
‏"I have only created Jinns and men, that they may worship me" (Soorah Zaareeyaat 51:56)
Why do I have to be muslim ?
‏Since the consequences of false religion are so grave, the true religion of Allah must be universally understandable and attainable, not confined to any people, place or time. Within the central principle of Islam and in its definition, lies the roots of lslam's universality. Whenever man comes to the realization that Allah is one and distinct from His creation, and submits himself to Allah, he becomes a Muslim and is eligible for paradise. This is the essence and the corner-stone of Islam:
‏"Laa Elaaha lllallaah" (There is no god worthy of worship except Allah)
‏Its repetition and the sincere belief in it automatically brings one within the fold of Islam and guarantees one Paradise. Thus, the final prophet of Islam is reported to have said, "Any one who says: there is no god but Allah and dies holding that (belief) will enter paradise." (Reported by Abu Dharr and collected by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim

God ordains whatsoever comes to pass - even the suffering we experience due to our own sin and the sin of others. However, our sins, the sinful actions of Satan, nature, and other secondary causes (God being the first cause) are used by God for our good and for his glory.

      1) Why do you not deserve punishment? If you are a child of God, you are no longer a child of wrath, true. But we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We, everybody deserves wrath, not grace, but God does give us grace. The rain falls upon the just and the unjust.
      2) Why do you assume that God hates you because you were not given the role of a priest. To be clear, I do not know what denomination or beliefs you hold to whether that be Roman Catholicism or Protestantism. God may have a better plan for you, or He might have a different time for you to become one. I would not say God is hating you because things did not go as you intended.

Sorry, I will correct my statement. Just because you chose not to do what you believe He may have called you to do, doesn't mean He hates you. There are other ways to serve as well, but for some things, you may have to step away from something you currently have. Jesus does tell us that we must hate father, mother, sister and brother to be true disciples of Him. I'll clear up the statement though, since some interpret it incorrectly. We must still love our family, but we must love God the most. God is first and foremost, everything else comes after.

@@georgehernandez7732But if you look at The Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, you can read that if be believe in Jesus, that He died for our sins, resurrected the third day defeating death that through Jesus Christ we can have eternal life. We can be reunited with loved ones, but we gotta believe in our hearts that Jesus died for our sins and resurrected, confess this with our mouths and repent of our sins. The Bible says God wants us to have a hope and a future.

I had cancer in 2012. It came out of no where like a thief and a murderer. I was attending a small college and was doing well. I tried going on a medical leave but I could not keep up. I reluctantly left. I never ask God why this happed to me. Instead I trusted him to bring me through. I stood on and prayed his word on healing. I read Job and other scripture daily. I read Job from a retrospective. This was because God knows the end from the beginning and I believed all things were going to work for good in trial. It was this that brought me through. I was supposed to get surgery to have a goofball size tumor next to my superior vena cava removed, 8 rounds of ABVD chemo and radiation. I opted for and trusted God with surgery and chemo much to my oncologist protest. The Lord was merciful and healed me after only 6 rounds of chemo. Now I am being challenged by the housing oligarchs and may face becoming homeless because of no rent control. My rent skyrocketed and extra $500. I will fast and pray and continue to trust him. I am also a veteran, and disabled. My God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Amen

I found myself suffering serious anxiety earlier this year. I practically couldn’t recognise myself because of what anxiety was doing to me daily. I struggled, couldn’t sleep and had to use prescription for many months. Although I still struggle sometimes, as I have now come off medication by doctor’s advice, God has been helping me. We don’t have all the answers to why things happen to us the way they do. We can simply trust that God always has our best interest at heart. May God show His mercy to anyone who like I was is struggling with fear, anxiety and sleeplessness. Stay strong, we had God with us and we shall overcome in Jesus name.

I remember I was in a season of losing everything last year. Job, house, friends & family, nearly homeless. This pastor told me I reminded him of “Job” in the Bible. I thought of what he said today and start studying the Bible. I’m glad I seen this video it made me understand why he said that. No matter what happened I stayed close to God. Even though my disobedience got me into those situations but the storm ended like Job, God restored everything plus more. God didn’t do it to me but allowed it. I found identity, I found pain in that purpose. When it feel like I was losing on the outside I found myself within. If I never experienced that I wouldn’t had the urge to go feed the homeless on the weekends.

God makes a bet with the devil and fucks up jobs life big time. He then almost loses the bet and intervenes. Not wanting to let job know that the reason he killed his family was a bet, he told job that he is could not possibly understand any immoral action that god allows since job is not able to see the bigger picture. God convinces him by showing him cool shit. Then, because god felt bad for killing jobs children, he gave job double the shit he had before which totally replaced his previous family.
The moral of the story is that god can do any shit he wants no matter how fucked up and we must accept it because he is god. Also, that the choice of the jobs previous children to not abandon god is completely worthless and they are just pawns just to prove that god was right.
Y’all are a naive and ignorant cult hopelessly brainwashed shit.

@@Onlinepower1 I like how christians go on and on about how atheists cannot say they have objective moral values. Look at this story. It basically says that all evil is justified for a greater purpose. Think of the most evil event that has happened in all of history. Maybe it is the persecution of the jews by Hitler, maybe its slavery, maybe it's the imbalance of power, or abortion. Whatever it is that you are thinking about, the christian is compelled to say that this horrible tragedy is the best such as, "Abortion leads to the greatest possible good". This is because everything god allows, as shown from this story, is good. Not only good but the best. How can you possibly have any sense of morality if the most immoral thing you know necessitates gods plan?

God is so complex but I still trust on His wisdom. I don't understand Him most of the time but I believe in Him. I relate a little with Job, asking and getting angry with God, I've done it before. I always pray on Him and I don't feel His presence. I got disappointed because I always talk to Him. I feel that He forget me, He still didn't answer my prayer 😅 I'm so lost and I don't know what to do in my life. Because of desperation, I read the Bible. I know that I should read the Bible but it's so hard to start reading it. I did try before but I keep on stopping and abandon the idea of reading it. But now, I regularly read the Bible. I feel the motivation to read it and I'm so happy that I did! I'm still lost at life but my worry slowly fade away. I'm very thankful that I read the Bible seriously. I feel mad at myself why I didn't do it before 😅 Hearing God's word heal my anxiety. I still don't get Him but I feel at peace now.

    This is my interpretation,
Haven’t you notice that when we struggle, we can RELATE to one another. People show more empathy the most at the lowest point in people’s life. The more we accept God, life and all it’s challenges. The more we respect one another. You don’t know a person until you know they’re story.

    • @biancalord488

I like your interpretation. I, myself believe that relating to each other is a choice, not regarded by how low we are, but our perspective of how equal we perceive each other. “At your highest point, no one is below you, at your lowest point, no one is above you”! Remember that and share it! Empathy and sympathy cannot be taught. It is inherently there or not. All man are equal. From the homeless, to the homeowners, and the extremely wealthy all the same. God is the only higher power. Not man! “No one above me but thee”!

So I'm not the most religious human being in the world. I don't pray to anything, and I don't attend mass. However, ever since I was younger I was always intrigued in the stories within the Bible and the messages they held; I thought of it purely as a long, historical fiction and philosophical commentary on humanity through the eyes of multiple writers. But that made it all the more interesting to me. So far, I've only really been looking up specific stories but, now that I'm older, I'm tempted to actually read the bible page by page. It's thanks to your videos that I've actually gained the motivation to do this. The beautiful animation helps too. ; )

Your comment was sort of just this long sarcastic rant about information everyone is already aware of, but the issue I have is that it isn't completely accurate. There are multiple developments of God throughout the Bible, and the one you're primarily referring to is the one from the Old Testament. In the New Testament, God is, in fact, different and mimics more of the 'just, pure, and glorious' description you sarcastically mentioned. I mean, just look at Jesus; he has four completely different iterations based on the varied perspectives of the people who wrote about him. Four different stories, four different personalities, etc.

I really resonate with Job cuz despite all the suffering he still looked to God, personal story, I grew up in a very violent houshold and both parents were abusive. Sad thing is that I was never a troublemaker as a kid(Always quiet and still am). Looking back it was like as if Satan was using them to test me if I would keep searching for God but of course in the end it didn't stop me thanks to God. Whenever I went on walks alone especially in nature it felt like God was giving me that virtual tour and it was always peaceful. Moral of the story is to put your full trust and pray to God as I have always done and he will exalt you to a whole new level, he's done it with me and he'll do it with you🤗🕊.

Why is it, via this story we have been told, nirvana is always after suffering you didn't ask for in the first place. Isn't all of existence his "fault"? HOW did he allow this screw-up?
Either way I'm done being "thankful". These abusers would beat their families and then literally go to church and "praise the Lord" on Sundays.
      Ahh Religon.
I'm supposedly dealing with the fallout of a decision I didn't make. Since when do we punish everyone for the crimes of one? I sure as hell didn't eat any apple, but unless I accept this story I have no proof ever happened, I get to go to hell.

@@mememan2344 Sir you missed the point, one thing humans get wrong is that God is careless in managing the world (and on the side I never mentioned religion at all in this) the point was that you have to be able to trust God even in dier situations, when God gave Job that virtual tour he was showing how he is taking into account every detail on earth and he was basically telling Job 'why not you manage the entire planet for a day' and that's when Job got the hint because
what people see and know about the world is not a quarter to God's understanding of his creation. Despite how enigmatic earth is we have to trust that God will pull us through and not worry constantly of what might happen.

    • @mememan2344
      @mememan2344 Рік тому

@@johnekunode All of christian theology is constantly making excuses for the FACT that GOD allowed this all to happen. He's omnipotent, knows the future and the past. So he KNEW what would happen when he let a demon HE put in earth slither around and talk to his pure innocent creation- and supposedly that's somehow "my fault". B.S.
What, was he asleep or something? A negligent parent letting their child drink poison or fall into the fire is more like it.
The story is a bunch of witchcraft archaic self punishing b.s.- the whole Bible is a constant reinforment of "thanking God", for being merciful and just awesome in general when ALL of this is his fault.
Job was supposedly Gods best servant, and God flippantly makes a bet with the very same demon who he KNOWS isn't gonna change his mind. God knows that whatever he allows Satan to do to Job, Satan is never gonna change his mind, so essentially, he allows Satan to kill Jobs entire family for no reason. But oh, it's ok, because he got a bunch of new crap and new family to replace the old, because JOB like US RIGHTEOUS CHRISTIANS is the main character, and therefore is actually important, in the same way christians worship jews. God created Jewish Jesus Christ perfect, and since God wasn't able to create ME perfect like he did the jews, I need to prostrate myself mentally to somebody who doesn't exist and I have never spoken to.
These stories make ZERO sense. God needs to do better, because he (the jewish God you believe in) did not consult me before subjecting me to his screw-up, so he can f off. And I won't be guilted into believing such a God exists. He does not.
I am a diest BTW, but all this "read this book to learn about God" is an obvious lie, because the jewish/islamic/Christian God's are all EVIL, and the texts are a bunch of evil psychotic babble.
So God couldn't get it right the first time- so I'd better believe in him so that when he comes back the SECOND time, I'll experience the "new heaven and earth" 😆 nope. And I won't be scared into believing either- because all you recruiters are taught to use the same tactics, and it's confusing. Why doesn't you guys have another god contest like Moses did to prove the true God. Oh no that's right because if I don't just MAGICALLY believe this b.s. I'm told, I'm an unbelieving wicked generation looking for signs and wonders -.-
      How convenient.
Yes, I could indeed run the earth better than the Jewish God, because I would have killed Satan right off the bat. Unless of course he isn't truly all powerful and couldn't do that for some reason. Idk.

I always had this idea in mind that our family has been cursed, that my generational bloodline has done unforgivable practices or acts which angered God. Every time we encounter painful trials like consecutive loss of my siblings and other misfortunate events in our family. The Book of Job has been my hope that whatever happens, God is always there for us. He deserved to be praised in whatever season. By watching this, it reminds me that God's wisdom is unfathomable. Every thing works according to His will. Therefore, I just need to trust in His ways even though the pain is so unbearable.

@@cleangoblin2021 I almost got myself into a bipolar medication and even somewhere along the line any lazy medic would have diagnosed me with something worse. Luckily, I hesitated and was too afraid to become reliant on medication, so I kept postponing. The reason was to get myself enough time to meditate and then resolve the smallest eaiest habits that I caused to myself. Part of the habits was refusing to learn about myself and my mind. God helped me learn about CBT and notice every little tangent that was messing up my entire cognition. I then got the right diagnosis of unadvanced ADHD (treatable even without medication). It's wild to me that kids with mild (not severe) ADHD are all put on Ritalin or adderal. CBT and psychosocial improvement did it for me. At one time when my symptoms were fading, I decided to try half a pill orf Ritalin. The drug ws so powerful, I decided to never use it. Moral of the story: Trust God, always get a third doctor's opinion, go wth the least aggressive opinion, and focus on your thinking and socials. if you feel off, find every reason to get help or retreat and note down your thoughts. If you have a good prescription and a proven plan to wean offf it, be very very disciplined with it.

Had not realized that because it never came anything to my feed. In the midst of me doing I sometimes I shouldn’t have, thinking God can’t exist when there is so much suffering so I can do whatever and it wouldn’t matter. This video came up. I thought I had erased every Christian channel, but maybe this is from God. So I watched. Did not understand this video at all and I thought it probably was just accident that this was on my feed. So I went through with the decision. I now realize it just was a destructive move. Regretting that move was what led me to God. The first thing that read was Job and it made perfect sense to my life. It was not accident it was God himself. I am a witness, God is good 🙏

i was so lost in life. i’d been praying to the Lord for a sign, and while i didn’t know when it would appear, or what the sign would even look like, i was on UA-cam last week when i came across a video on Judgement Day. i felt God wanting me to watch it, and that i’d understand what he was trying to tell me when it was over. it was about 20-24 minutes long, and i couldn’t help but stop watching it at 9 minutes in. my faith strengthened incredibly after that. i used to be somewhat ashamed of expressing my belief to people, but after that video, i’ve been actively telling anyone that will listen, reading scripture on a daily basis, instead of a handful of times every year. it genuinely is a very nice feeling to experience, to know God is watching over those that trust in him, no matter what. he wants me to take my time, reflect on what it is he’s telling me. he helped me realize that if your friends are willing to judge you based on your beliefs, are they even really worth keeping in touch with?

Compare the numbers at the beginning and end, the livestock. But then notice the children. The pattern breaks and it is not an accident. There's something important implied there. You don't have to believe it, but there is much intended by that final passage.
There's also much to be gained by examining the names of the daughters and the unique position they received, being granted an inheritance, but that's another matter.

Job was self-righteous at the beginning, and humble by the end. That's a pretty powerful lesson right there. So much of our "humility" is self-serving and fake. Listening to people complain about God is a sure sign that they think they deserve something for their "faithfulness." But the only thing we deserve is hell. God's love for us means we don't get what we deserve. THAT is humbling to consider. And meant to challenge our self-righteousness by recognizing that God did for us through Jesus Christ something we can NEVER do for ourselves. He saved us from what we deserve. Trust God no matter what, people! Real humility is a trust that surrenders to God's Will... even though we don't fully know what it means or where it will take us. Be Blessed!

i have watched this video quite a few times. at first, it's just a really beautiful graphic depiction that really helps me summarize and simplify Job's POV on what has happened in his life. How God let not just good thing but also bad things happened, even without any purpose at all. As a human, i complain and doubts God's wisdom SO MANY TIMES. We human tend to forget the goodness of God when we're not in a position of receiving blessings, instead we often enraged with things that don't go as we plan. Somehow, this evening i watch this video again, paying attention closely to the narration and realizing that i am fully dumbfounded by the way God willing to humble a man just by making him realize; His life is just a small particle in this huge universe. the Word "humble" finally got me to tears; i can't help but starting to silently sob. Over the hardship of life; ONLY God's wisdom which will help us prevailed. Thank you for this beautiful depiction, God bless you guys.

@@dezertfox3130 because it goes back to the second book, on how we will never coprehend god in this physical realm or even spiritual because he is the creator and we are his creations, he is the ultimate therefore he knows more and will always know more at the end of the day we dont know anything history has been re-written, stolen, burned, we dont know anything to begin with we only know so little about a world that to me and you is considered "big". So imagine if we even knew HALF truth to ANYTHING! The moral is that god is unpredictable and from my assumption, we wouldnt be able to coprehend god even if we tried at least not fully unless he chose to.
