    I have never been able to stick to a bible reading plan. Now I find myself not wanting to stop. Thank you God for opening my eyes, ears and heart to your Words.
    Thank you Dr. Manny for helping me get a better understanding.

    Day 8....reading and episode COMPLETED! I'm glad PM spoke on it, but it stuck out to me when reading. The centurion (outsider) "saw" what happened and immediately pointed to the righteousness of Jesus, yet in Ch. 24 Jesus ran up on two disciples (insiders) who didn't immediately recognize who He was. One the biggest themes I've gotten from reading Luke's Gospel is the notion of insider/outsider. Thankfully, Jesus loves both! The timeless truth was also strong - falling in love with the Word so that you fall in love with the correct version of Jesus.

      The insider-outsider theme stood out soooo much to me as well! It was also convicting me to take on more of Jesus like behavior of acceptance and welcoming in people who I may view as outsiders in my own life, especially since our lives and how we treat others may be their first interaction with the Bible. Soooo many good gems!-

    I am about 2 days behind trying to catch up but this is very good. I did this last year in Arma and started late and got defeated but I am glad I can do this again and do it alongside community.

    One thing I think about ia how I too can miss Jesus walking alongside me. It can take an aha moment for me to give him glory reminding me he is always working on my behalf for my good.
    Mind blowing nugget did me is the relationship of Jesus blood dripping on the ground to restore what was lost at creation.
    Lastly the Holy Spirit allows our hearts to know when something is not true or aligned with Gods word.
    Looking for Jesus!!!

    Day 8 done and I’ve gained a new perspective on how to read the Scriptures. A comment on Luke 23:44 I believe it was only dark from noon to 3PM during the day time.

    Don’t get people to fall in love with Jesus, get people to fall in love with the Bible because all scriptures lead to Jesus! That’s very powerful ❤
    That makes so much sense!

    I don’t understand the Isaac and Abraham reference.

    • @sheryllloyd5145
      @sheryllloyd5145 16 днів тому

      The only thing I can think he was trying to say is both went voluntarily. Issac asked his dad where was the sacrifice. He knew they didn't have one when they went. I'm assuming he didn't fight his Dad when he went to sacrifice him either. We know sacrifice was not a strange practice in those days with the idol worship. Isaac believed his Dad when he said God would provide. Jesus didn't was in agony about his coming death. We know for the joy he endured the cross. Also because it was the will of his father so we could be redeemed. Just think if Jesus would've turned back we would not have any hope.
