RZA on the topic of Hip Hop legends still saying his opinion doesn't matter is showing you how a true master thinks about his craft! This man is an absolute pillar of Hip Hop. He created a style that transformed the genre for decades to come. His style is what bared fruit to dozens of carreers. And he is still out here saying his opinion doesn't matter. Dude if his opinion doesn't matter, we should just fucking do away with them as a whole! Lex, thank you for this podcast. I love how this shows the pure raw intelligence of the most successfull people in the world. This was awesome!
Much respect! Wu-Tang Forever! I've been a fan since 36 Chambers, and am still a fan. In 2013 I read Rza second book, while in a dark place in life, which introduced me to the power of possibility. Thank you both for this one. Instant classic! The genuine curiosity, and mutual respect between these two men, bring a depth and weight to a seemingly loose, and open talk. This conversation was like a meditative chess game, eyes slightly open, both men deeply breathing, taking their respective turns, melving together like the passing of white clouds on a blue sky, action without movement is flow, where only silence can be heard, while in absence of a word, only whispering winds are observed.
All love all the time
respect 👊
Well said mate
"Study those who have already done what you want to do." - RZA
Great interview! From the pace, the questions asked by Lex and the jewels dropped by RZA.
This is a podcast I never could have imagined in my wildest dreams. Amazing!
100%
I would have never expected but it is like the dream podcast I never knew I wanted!
As human…. You should dream bigger.
Sunshower was such a big reason why I got so mesmerized by Wu Tang when I was a kid, to this day it's crazy to me that it wasn't on every edition of the album. If you don't know it, it's as good as he says it is 👐🏻
Seriously! I've been listening to Wu since '93 and just heard Sunshower for the first time about half an hour ago.
First time i heard it i had to replay a few times cuz its so greAt
Sunshower was dope. But tragedy was rza best lyrical song ever to me.
This was my favorite interview of, not just yours personally, but any podcast.
Wow the diversity of guests at this point is legendary. Cheers!
THIS!!!! Is what I fkn wanted, an in depth philosophical interview/ podcast with the abbot without a fool like Donnell Rawlings mocking him every 10 seconds. Thank You Lex Fridman, please bring him back as soon as possible, and again after that.
The episodes I love the most are the ones where the guest is completely unexpected.
The balance of this conversation bruh… so fucking beautiful it has me in tears
S/O to RZA for even paying attention and being aware of lex Fridman!!
RZA so sharp man... When you hear how he talks and thinks you understand where this eternal music come from.
Yes! Bring on more musicians and creative artists. So few interviewers are able to do them justice
Never expected RZA to explain the plot of death stranding on lex fridman's podcast but there's a first time for everything.
RZA is a true poet. The way he connects abstract ideas with his own experience is beautiful.
I’m just getting into Lex’s work and I love the podcast so much! I’m grateful for this, Wutang is one of my all time favorites.
This episode was very intriguing, there's fond love when you mix art and science
@Zero Wall: ...because there's a #SCIENCE to art and an art to #SCIENCE. 🎤🤵🏻🎤😎 Much ❤️...🙏
Thank you Rza for 25years of positive artistic influence on me. Sincerely thank you. Thank you ahead of time LEX for dozens of years you will be expanding minds!
"Live a thousand years in a day, without opening your mouth you can say everything you wanted to say. " RZA👐
... attracted to the core of the earth I stay grounded. The sun in the centre of this - I'm surrounded, by planets in the midst that spins the wind chill, but my light melts a snowflake from 93 mill'...
this is probably a top 5 podcast, the RZA a chessboard, lex, my man, a prophecy fulfilled for me. thank you.
Lex… thank you my friend! Im only a few mins into it but I’m already feeling good about this one. Love your positivity and your broad outreach. I love science and hip-hop and am so excited about this episode. You and wu-tang have shaped my life. Huge love!
the RZA is one of my all time favorite idols. great on so many levels!! thank you for this one lex.
I lost my Mother in 1983, when I was 15. I recently learned that the strongest familial bond is Mother-Daughter, and it definitely left me feeling broken. However, having endured that allowed me to appreciate life, and I've never really stopped getting to know her. Also, I've found that I can be there for people who are going through the same thing - because as you say, Love wins.
Who decides that’s the strongest family bond? Why stronger then mother and son or father and son?
@@rasmusgreen6254 hmmm..., if bond strength is proportional to the intensity of argument between parental and child, then I concur with Op's observations
@@rasmusgreen6254 Sounds like something unaccomplished psychologists and sociologist make up to justify their existence.
B1G ups Lex. Wu Tang will survive. Long live ODB. Lex we would be honored to have you bless us by hopping on to The Self Luv Show ❤️. Vibrate Luv.
bro i literally just started doing sample based production, (classic hip hop). i use alot of what i learn from his podcasts to implement in my daily life to be more productive. thought the other day it would be so cool of he interviewed some hip hop artists and sure enough he does it. thank you lex!
This is the interview that certifies Lex as a true legend of the highest tier
Wu Tang is more than just rap
These guys are so wise
Lex, you should let your guests prepare a couple questions to ask YOU too! It would be great to see what questions they ask and your answers!
He did have some questions about AI and emotion, but yeah I do like hearing the guest ask Lex questions as well.
Great idea
This interview is going to be highly underrated. Epic.
i love the spectrum of guests, but they also almost all fit together. youre something else, Lex. keep it going!
I love how ringing rza's voice is
Wow.. RZA was completely unexpected. I'll have to set aside time for this one.
Do not try to multi task doing anything more complex than laundry while trying to listen to this. Have a good day!
Loved the short vegan question. He put it so simply: "I don't need to kill animals in order for myself to live"
I became a vegatarian after I heard the RZA say this on Rogan. Wasn't the only reason but that simple piece of logic sealed the deal.
@@lievenyperman9363 I bet you feel healthier
it was kind of odd and ignorant for him to say the cow or bull is so big and muscular just from eating grass like that applies at all to humans...cows have four stomachs...all animals are different...a cat sleeps 16 hours a day and never works out yet they can do amazing athletic feats any time. Because that's how they evolved to be.
This is where RZA is utterly wrong.
@@binary Why?
God damn lex, we needed this. Thankyou yet again for another amazing conversation, can't wait for the film.
Thanks for having RZA on here Lex! It’s awesome how you guys went through so much different topics in discussion!
This might be one of my favorite conversations. Thank you both!
I've listened to this 4 times now... It's amazing Lex, thanks.
The age NAS made Illmatic has always amazed me
This dude Lex is the man! He has some of the most authentic mind blowing intellectuals on his podcast. What a great host!
Lex thank you from the bottom of my hiphop heart for this interview
Why did I not get notified for this episode?? The man is a genius.
Also wu tang has been a huge part of my life and my childhood. Respect
I helped them get together, respect
"Alright, time for me to go to bed."
"Ooo! Lex dropped an episode, AND RZA!?"
When RZA laughs, I feel like the world has become a better place for humans.
I know I'm going to have to watch this multiple times in order to extract the most knowledge as possible from this interaction 💯
I love Wu-Tang so much, also the Rza himself. You started the interview striking a powerful chord with me. My grandfather Roberto Martinez is now my guardian angel. Thank you so much for this wonderful interview. Respect
This is the crossover we needed! Thank you
This is the youtube chanel of miracles and gifts.
Lex is full of surprises.
Damn, you have the best guests ever. Awesome podcast, Lex.
Every man has two lives. The 2nd one starts when he realizes he has only one.

His authenticity is making me cry. In a world of fakes, he’s real. I needed to hear this.

@@shawnfaison5118 I believe in you. Stay strong.
RZA under rated this is the Leader Hip-Hop should listen too... .. .

LEx and Rza.... My jaw has dropped. I am so thankful for this, and you, I hope you see this Lex as you're my idol. Work hard play hard. Sending appreciation and love.
I could not possibly describe what this podcast means to me man I couldn’t be more grateful
Thank you Lex
I saw the Rza at the nyc winery in soho and he asked for requests at the end of the show. I was front row and asked him to perform sunshower to which he replied “Ahhh that’s too deep” I respect that but I was disappointed. One of my favorite rza joints
Saving this one for work tomorrow. You’re doing something great here Lex!
I do this all the time…cant waste these gems in idle time.
RZA. I know he has created one of the best groups of our lifetime but when he speaks he takes his time to get his thoughts out. I really understand him. He’s a human that understands that we will be going to a next realm. Wutang is for the children👐🏾👐🏾👐🏾
RZA: "Are you thinkin' there's an algorithm for emotion?"
Lex: "I made my roomba scream"
Best interview ever
I have to give you propers on this! Great interview! Great job getting him on the pod! Keep it up 👍
No wayyyy you got RZA on the show!!! Legendary!!! 🤘🤙
One of the most enjoyable pods I've listened to in years.
It’s official, Lex is just smart Joe Rogan.
Ryan Sickler #honeydew is the best Joe Rogan. Listen to Filipe Esparza change your life.
(&sober)
And he made sure Rondell Dawlings wasn't here to ruin it.
@@rickycouture7224 hmmmm. Interesting! Well as a mom, I hope he got to see his son. This podcast made up for everything !
No need for a comparison
Another example to never meeting your heroes because they will let you down.
Now this one… i didn’t expect. Lex getting mad style points for this one
RZA is a role model for any art student. RZA is the man!!
Next level lex!! Fairness all around!! Nice professional work sir!!
I'm from East Oakland and I watch your pod cast every day ...and this was great asf for me to experience this interview
The best and most unexpected guest you'e had. Huge fan of RZA
I'm in the middle of reading The Tao of the Wu for the second time this timing is perfect
bro! you’re a legend Lex ty for building this interview
I appreciate, so much, the thoughts on grief of a parent/loved one passing on and coming through to realize the profound joy of our own mortality.
RZA and Lex Fridman, what a unexpected good combination
This has to be one of the best podcasts ever made of this channel
