Mary, I just LOVE that your son is so willing to help whenever you ask him. He seems like such a a great son, which is a testament to you and your husband ! I have a 23 year old son and a 20 year old daughter, both in college, but they never want to participate in anything I do. It makes me sad, but I know they're transitioning into their own lives at this point. Great job, mom!
My son is 50 years old and my daughter is 43.

What nice pieces he picked for you! I like the mirror the best. Helpful hint, cutting foam is so easy using an electric knife, you know, the kind that you use once a year for Uncle Bob to use to slice up the turkey.

I absolutely love this idea.
When I add transfers to drop cloth I spray a light application of polyurethane first then add the transfers. They go on so easy :) Loved all the things you made!

Glad your guys are willing to jump in and participate in making beautiful things with you. The ottoman fabric with the transfers was worth every bit of time and elbow grease. All the pieces were great finds, so kudos to Kenny for great shopping. I love all the pieces and what you've done to them.

A tip on cutting foam, I use an electric bread knife, it is hassle-free and cuts very tidy

The thrift store finds 'makeover' turned out so lovely! I really like the two-tone candle sconces, and the Ottoman. Your idea to make the storage end-table into an ottoman is genius! The bird transfers on fabric was well worth the time and effort put into it.

"Highroller" Kenny did a great job with his selections. And your make-overs are so unexpected and lovely. My faves are the soft and dreamy mirror and the candleholders, so tender with spring optimism.
The mirror made me wish I had a tiny beach cottage in which to hang it. Everything upcycled so well. Your son is such a nice young man.
