I love the entire white theme, and how you envision your renovations, adding the distressed look. Your accents with a little bit of slate blue grey, and the green overhead lights in our kitchen with green plants, against the white furniture, and dark brown wood beams.
It fascinates me that you can sew and make furniture and crafts and my goodness you can make anything look fantastic!

I made kitchen curtains with some kitchen towels from the Magnolia line at Walmart. I love them.
I make a lot of skirts the same way. The only difference is I think I would have made the skirt ruffle go the opposite way, to add interest.

Mary, I love each makeover you made. Your skirt is adorable. It’s got just enough ruffle to it. So clever! To think it started out as a shower curtain cover. I would love to find a skirt like that. I would mess it all up if I tried to make one. I can’t sew a straight line for the life of me. The pillow, I liked how you ended up closing it…. cleaver again. I’ve always admire those type of chairs. There actually pretty comfortable too. You lucked out as the fabric was in good shape n nice design to it. As for as I’m concerned you hit a home run with me.

After watching your videos. I want to paint all my furniture. I have a high boy chest of drawers. That is over 30 years old. That is 7 ft tall. So we took the top part of it off. About 4 0r 5 drawers tall. And I sanded, primed, and painted it a cream color. Everyone fell in love with it. ❤ my husband added feet to the top part so now I don’t need a step stool to get in the top set of drawers. Being 81 years old . My family needs both of my feet on the floor.

That chair was a FIND! It was in excellent condition, and cleaning up the fabric plus removing the stain made a huge difference. It went from looking like a dated granny chair to a soft and elegant chair.
All of these thrift flips look amazing. I’m about saving money and the environment, and all these dated pieces need is a little tweaking to look amazing. The added bonus is it’s made to my taste AND it’s coordinated with my home decor.
Yes, my secret to finding beautiful frames at affordable prices is getting them at the thrift store. I don’t always have to do anything with the frames, but sometimes all they need is a little tweak like painting it or adding a little gold/silver leaf, and it looks like I paid way more for the frame than I did.

Absolutely love the chair!! Also the table and the picture turned out pretty also! The skirt was so pretty!! You would never know that it was made from a shower curtain! And then you had enough to make a pillow!! Unbelievable!

My goodness so many beautiful items made from your thrift trip! I can’t really choose a favorite, but the chair turned out so beautiful. An idea came to my mind when you made the pillow, you could sew buttons to close the pillow instead of tied. Buttonholes already there for you with a shower curtain!☺️

I have a table that height and square shape that has a chessboard inlaid in it and a little storage part underneath the chessboard that has backgammon inlaid in it. It probably a card/game table.
Probably a bridge table. I have linens for that size.
