- In this video, I challenge myself to find a few items in a local thrift store and redo them in a day! So much fun. 😁
**NOTE: I ended up going back to the thrift store and getting the rest of those pretty clear cups. (this will make sense once you watch the video)😉

I got a chuckle when you said you must be getting old because you’re so attracted to glassware. Me too! I’ve said the same thing. I used to roll my eyes at Mother for thrifting so much of it. Great projects today!
Me too! People are donating their old glassware; I can’t resist it! 🙀
Janey Jane Dee That's too funny. I'm 72 and started collecting milkglass about 5 years ago. Recently while dusting a number of these pieces I had to give my head a shake!! WHY am I collecting this stuff. My daughters don't want it. So I stopped. Somehow a weight has been lifted! LOLOL At my age, I'm supposed to be purging, not collecting! Have a great rest of your day!
Love the new look you gave these pieces!! You do a great job!!

Minimalism has really help me‼️‼️… still need to do more and MUCH EASIER TO CLEAN AND DEAL WITH… after I had done a real decluttering, I dusted one day and got through pretty quickly and it was like… “what do I do now”😂🤣😂🤣I LOVE THE LESS STRESS OF SOOO MUCH STUFF … and more room I’ve heard it called “real estate”… like that wording 👍🏻😁no coffee table etc …I’m 73…👍🏻 AWESOME DAY TO YOU👏🏻😁‼️
LOl! Me too! I love glassware who care of their mismatch.
The chair is my favorite piece. I love the way it turned out. I won't be afraid of those nice sturdy pieces now. Thanks for the inspiration.
Oh Mary, the chair just needed polishing. I cried when you painted it white! 1930 classic barrel chair. SNIFF :D
The way you paused to acknowledge the bird’s singing while you work is just one of the many reasons I love your channel. The projects are awesome. Thank you. 😊
The socks, though...ADORABLE!
I'm so glad that you show some of your items that you sell on your etsy shop, from time to time, because I forget to look on there! Great trash to treasure items!!!
Mary, I must admit I was skeptical about painting the chair, but it turned out beautifully. As did all your projects. Sorry I doubted you! You never disappoint!
While visiting my family in Ohio i was finally able to visit your booth in Walnut Creek. Many of your projects from this video were on display. Of course I had to buy something and chose one of your tea towels. I love watching your weekly videos.
God Bless

Everything was so beautiful Mary! For some reason that metal table spoke to me. Love the wood shelf!
I agree! That shelf just transformed it!
Had a table like that years ago, it was a typewriter table- hence the rounded area for your legs as you sat.
Love your channel, too, Yami!
@@lorrem2539 thank you so much! 🥰🥰
I love glassware too! I often think maybe I was born in the wrong century! I love all the dishes from the 19th century! Love all your ideas and makeovers!
You are such a smart innovative woman . Love all of the transformations . Beautiful and creative.
Love hearing the birds and all, very soothing. My brother calls me from Georgia every night, I can hear all the birds singing in the background, sounds wonderful. All your items turned out so pretty. The chair, I was kinda scared when you started but turned out very pretty. Thank you. Spring is here now, April 2023 🐦🦋🐝🌺
I love how capable you are with all the tools!
I think the older styles are just back in full force. I love everything vintage and as my man would call "grandma style". Its just so charming when done right. I'm not good at putting it all together yet, but I'm getting there. God bless!
You just amaze me. I literally watch you because your talent and personality brings me joy. Thank you so much. 🤗🤗🤗
You outdid yourself, Mary. Everything looks brand new. God Bless.
Absolutely in love with all these finds and your remarkable ,creative restorations. YOU INSPIRE ME. ❤️❣️💝💕
Love listening to our feathered friends!
All your projects turned out great but that chair is everything!! Just love it.
That’s a very clean, well organized thrift store. Wish I lived closer.
Those cups will catch and reflect the candlelight so beautifully!
You are very good! I wouldn't have expected the metal "desk" to turn out so beautiful!
Wow. I never expected an upholstered chair could be changed so dramatically. Well done! My favorite of all was the metal desk. I would have loved to have seen the top covered with the same wood as the bottom shelf. The wood was so beautiful. My little girl’s favorite was the tray.💜
All I can say is WOW! You never cease to amaze me that you can turn thrift store finds into such amazing pieces. I am always waiting to see what you come up with next. Thanks for sharing. You are such an inspiration.
Hi Mary - That “sad looking” chest turned out so pretty. All it needed was a little love from you!
Everything turned out really pretty. Great job and great finds! 💕
Giving well-used items such beautiful new life is a wonderful gift! Your style and creativity is a blessing to watch. Thank you!
❤️❤️❤️ Them All Mary . Just ❤️All Your Makeover’s Have An Awesome Day 😊
All of the thrifted items were beautiful. I am always amazed by your vision for the items.
The storage cabinet and metal table turned out so perfectly! What a transformation! Thanks for sharing your projects!
I just love that you appreciate the nature that surrounds you! The little things like the sound of the birds chirping! Thank you for that ❤️
You do such incredible transformations on your projects! Mary, God has gifted you immeasurably! Everything you did today is SO lovely! And I never get tired of the newspaper wallpaper that you use…very complimentary for different pieces! God bless you and family…with ALL that He has for you… Love you…
Those items ALL look great! I especially like the chair…good call the make it white all over!!! 👌🏻😎🐨🌺
Mary I absolutly love watching your trash to treasure video's. You inspire me.
Keep the light. I love it! Soup up that metal stand as a kitchen island. You can add a wooden top. You are so smart!
That was the cleanest, neatest op shop I’ve ever seen! Good to see you’ve restocked your disposable gloves again. The chair turned out better than I thought it would.
But will it last? Ordinary paint on leather?
I personally think the cabinet would look great in a teen girl's room or a business office, so elegant and fancy.
Mary. I love that chair! Yes, you should keep it. It looks beautiful in your home. I always get so inspired by your make overs. And that light😍
Well done. My favorite is the little three drawer chest. Or, maybe the metal stand. Or, maybe all of them!
Love the chair the most ! But, they are all great 👍 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Punch cups are so common at thrift stores and usually for really good prices! The candles look adorable!!
I will buy a an op shop punch set when I’m entertaining, then donate it back 😊 Saves me having to store it
Wow! You have a good eye for trash to treasure. Good job.
You are a very talented young woman. Everything you've touched has been a source of inspiration for redesigning thrifted items. God bless you!!
Greetings Mary, first I'm so impressed 😯 how you turn out what you bought! 👏👏👏👏 Wow it's awesome, beautiful, delicate etc! The Almighty has really blessed you!😊❤️ I have learned a lot from you, a hard working beautiful lady and very intelligent! Thank you for sharing all your talents, tips to all of us! Congratulations 🎊👍 and God Bless you! Big hug 🤗
Love your style, love your projects, love your kindness and thoughtfulness! Thank you!
Mary, you are one of the most industrious women I am familiar with! Love seeing your projects! 💝
You were so right to paint the whole chair white. It's much better with the trim showing through where you distressed them to make some places to show through.
The tray turned out pretty, but I liked it before too. I would have had a hard time changing it.
Love the cup candles too !
Wow!! Everything is fabulous. I must admit, I wasn’t too sure about the chair but it turned out just beautiful!! You certainly have a knack for being very creative!!! What a gift!!!!
The metal desk is my favorite. Adding the shelf made a huge difference.
The chair turned out amazing. Never thought you could paint that .
I love everything you redo! It always looks so pristine when you are done! ❤
I loved the Mission statement of that first thrift store. Nice to know your shopping is going to such a good cause. I look forward to your videos each week. Thanks for sharing the sounds of the birds.
You make everything look so beautiful!! I love your style and calmness!!! Thank you for sharing ‼️♥️
I love what you did with all the pieces. Fun to watch.
I loved the leather chair with nailhead trim ❤️
You were brave spray painting the chair...cute !!! 💕💕
Absolutely amazing!! I always look forward to seeing what adventure you let us travel with you! Thank you for sharing your vision and talent!
I was so excited when I saw that you bought the metal table. As a professional interior decorator and furniture designer myself, I couldn't help but tell my husband, "I hope she puts a wooden bottom shelf on it." And sure enough, you did. BEAUTIFUL JOB!! ❤️ Oh, and I actually have 2 of those same barrel-back chairs I picked up a couple years ago. LOVE THEM!
Wow! I amazed at your creativity! Everything turned out great but that chair... C'est magnafique!
THANK YOU Mary I enjoyed our trip out , and what lovely things you bought , even better after you enhansed them , i loved the fit of the wood for the stand table so satisfying , take care
Love the punch bowl cups turned into candles. I have seen these turning up at thrift stores, too. I love the addition of the wood tops and shelf to you finds. Will have to remember that!
Mary, you have such a creative eye.Whenever you pick out something, you know exactly what you are going to do with it .I enjoyed watching you recreate these thrift store finds, they all came out lovely!
I really had doubts about the chair but you pulled it off!! Yay YOU!! Loved the wood you used on the other items. Beautiful grain.
You could pour 100 little candles and tuck them into every nook in your shop and they would sell. There are always lots of punch cups at the thrift.
You are the best- always so organized and so good at explaining what you are doing and why,
Mary I love all your projects and I love your socks!
That white chair turned out beautiful!
I love how everything turned out, but my absolute favorite is the chair….. you should keep it, it’s perfect for your home! Thank you for the ideas, God bless 🙏
I liked the pale green on the chair. I don't like distressing and prefer wood tones. the teacup candles were very pretty.
So pretty! I ESPECIALLY loved that chair.
Everything turned out beautiful as always, Mary. You are so talented; thank you for sharing this with us ♥️ Can't wait to hear about updates on the Cottages!
I had to edit my comment to say I love the way everything turned out, but the desk was my favorite ❤
I love what you done with the metal stand. Everything turned out beautifully. Thank you for all the ideas 🙏🏻
Love hearing the birds
That place is so organized & clean!
That is an amazing chair for a thrift store. I would have bought that in a heartbeat! I've had really great luck painting leather with chalk paint-you would never know it was originally tan leather.
Those little cups are adorable! Love them! You are so talented.
Have a blessed day!
I liked the chair just as it was in the start
Shiny brown leather. Very classic. But you did good too
Mary you just bring everything you touch back to life and looks so much better!! I Love the chair never ever thought about painting it great idea!!
❤️❤️
Beautiful renovations! Mary, you are a joy to watch. Best wishes in your next adventure!!
Greetings from the mountains of NC!
Hi, Mary. I really enjoyed the trip to the thrift store. I'm reasonably sure I've never seen a cleaner, more organized thrift store. My parents collected glassware, so I kind of lean in that direction as well. Young people today don't seem to be interested in that sort of thing--no pretty dishes, crystal or silverware--sad--loss of an era. Loved to hear the birds singing.
LOVE all these projects!!!😍👍🏻👌🏻
Everything always looks so beautiful.
Beautiful as usual Mary, such a talented woman.Energetic and beautiful
I luv the candles in the cups......................
Such nice things you made from what you thrifted! They all looked great!!
Along with a few things to make your soaps Mary get you a dehumidifier helps with curing, weather has alot to do with curing, always keep an eye on the dates and shelf times, and just have fun making it.
Howdy from Texas. You are a decorating , thrifting, wonder.I always look forward to your videos.
I used to make fun of my mom for always going for the china & glassware. Guess what? I’m 60 & I am my mother all over again! Fun!
The floral pictures were so pretty!
I watched your video on the power painter. I’m getting ready to paint my basement ceiling :-) in that video you show your yard and I see the lavender :-) your yard is beautiful. I’m an organic fruit and vegetable farmer that lives next to a chemical farmer and I have lost pretty much everything. Last year was a week from harvest When the sprayer wiped me out. Desperately looking for a new home but this is not the time To buy. Love your little projects great to see somebody with ambition. Have fun making soap there’s nothing better than homemade soap.
Mary your videos are so relaxing and I love seeing how you get so many beautiful pieces done so quickly.
I can’t wait to see the cottages.
I enjoy all of your videos which I watch when I am having my breakfast! You have given me so many wonderful ideas😊
Love your channel Mary! And I LOVE thrifting!!
I always enjoy your videos...Thank you for sharing all your ideas!!! Love your soap!! Smells wonderful!!😊
Everything turned out absolutely stunning!! I loved all the transformations, it's incredible what you did!! You definitely are such an inspiration to us all with your talents and sharing what you do! Thanks again and keep them coming!!!
What beautiful finds 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Have I told you lately how amazing you are? It amazes me that you can spray paint a soft chair like that and sit on it and not crack it. Just blows my mind. The candles are amazing too. Goodness it's all amazing!
Me thinking when you started painting the chair..
Noooooooooo 😅
I loved the original look.
Love your make over projects. 💖
You do a wonderful job making things useful again. You have great taste. :)
The chair turned out so good!
You always come up with such great ideas. I admit that I wasn't sure about the outcome of that chair. I actually liked the brown... At least on my TV. One way to go would have been to just sand the wood and stain it. I think it would have looked like a well loved chair.
Your end result is amazing! It looks great in your home. I hope you keep it!
When my Gf and I built our tiny house We decided to use as much recycled/upcycled stuff as we could. We bought all of our kitchen cabinets sinks and cabinets at the Habitat For Humanity ReStore and repainted/ reporcelained them and then we bought all of our furniture at thrift stores and flea markets and fixed and painted them, Saved THOUSANDS of dollars and noone will ever know, It's pretty easy to do and doesn't take much time because like you showed in this video, you can work on several things at the same time. The ONLY thing we bought new furniture wise was our couch, box springs and matress.
These are definitely my favorites. I do love taking something old and discarded and making it pleasing and useful. I've been doing the same at home. There is such a great feeling of accomplishment. When you tell someone you only have under $10 in a functional coatrack or table it gets the "wow" factor.
