    If you’re new dont jog everyday. Injury is bound to happen. Start jogging 2-3 times a week and increase the distance every week.

      my whole first last week i jogged 6 days . 2-3 miles max . i feel better but those first 2-3 days was crazy pain

      @@themfoosdidit glad nothing bad happened. but yeah usually the first week is hell because of recovery but the next week your body will get used to it just like weightlifting

      I use to do lots of athletics mostly long distance but unfortunately since age 10 I’ve had multiple patella dislocations which damaged my MPFL so I slowly stopped doing athletics because It always hurt when I had to run, shitty thing tho is that i got shin splints 2 years ago so running and jogging is just painful for me.
      But I had a MPFL reconstruction surgery last week and it will take about 6/8 months to get back to sports and I’m so excited for that cause I really want to start doing athletics again.
      sad thing is I’m only 17 turning 18 later this year but I sound like a old women with knee problems💀😭

      thank you! I know what you mean, dont push ! I start to jog nowadasy but mixing it with fast pace walks. I need to find the strength and stamina and get used to it first

    Jogging is my favourite exercise I jog everyday except Sunday. Yea at first my leg were injured but now there is no more pain even though I jog every day.I jog for approx. 7 km per day.

      ​@iqraarshad9627 yes but it will cause fat loss in all parts of the body. It's actually not possible to target fat loss to a specific area. If you are insecure about your legs I would lose fat overall and build up your arms

      You're probably starting. I noticed that after a month since I integrated my jogging routine. I would stop not because of my lungs hurting but because my legs hurts and they shake uncontrollably.
      First 2-3 weeks however, my lungs were always the first to give up.

    All very true, but even if you do any exercise every day then you will still get injured because of overtraining and you may get a stress fracture or something else.

      Training daily wont mean you will overtrain. There are Mexican tribes that run 100's of miles on a daily basis, even the kids. We are build to run daily. If you have been sitting on your ass for years however you might want to give it some time.

      I used to be bullied by my friends for not being able to play a full soccer match due to quickly becoming tired. Determined to change that, I started running approximately 7 kilometers every day without taking any rest days, maintaining a fast pace. Initially, I experienced strains in my leg, but now I have no issues running the 7-kilometer distance daily at a full pace. I am now the fittest person among my friends, and no one can outrun me in soccer. My stamina is exceptional.

    I used to have knee pain when I jogged after a week its completely gone and my knees feel a lot more stable

      I never had knee problems but I ran last week for 7 days straight and my knees are very sore but I’m gonna rest for 2 days then get right back into it

    Don't do any exercise everyday. your muscles need time to rest and recuperate. take a rest of a day every 2 days as a starter then lower it as you go on

      Unless its someone with crazy willpower they'll end up resting a day or two even if they don't plan to..but if you already plan to rest then you'll end up resting more than you need to and fall behind your goals.. So its better to not go into exercising with that mindset.. For most people it isn't fun and our mind keeps finding excuses to quit..

    Running can cause many injuries which is why stretching, rest, recovery activities, cross training, and strengthening activities should be done as well to avoid them. Swimming, aqua jogging, and spinning are my favorite go to activities to do with running.

    Yesterday I started my jogging journey and I jogged 5 mil that equals approximately 10000 steps. Let me tell you I was in hell of a pain that I couldn't even sleep at night 😂

      That happened cuz u pushed too hard without building to that. Lower ur distance and the increase it over a period of time for less soreness as ur muscles adapt to the workload

    I'm a 13 year old girl, and I just realized my muscle insertion is really good! Really good means its really good! I have a bit of fat now. I am thinking of building muscles. So do I have to burn fat before building the muscles? I already have a bit of muscles tho

      You can do both at the same time. (though losing fat would certainly make it easier to do cardio and be more active) A small caloric deficit of 250-500 calories would be around 0.5 to 1 pound of fat loss per week. Just make sure you're eating enough protein so you can still build muscle.
      Eat moderately, eat healthy, be active, get enough rest, and you should start feeling and looking better.

      As i think you should try not to burn fat much as you are 98lbs which isn't overweight. Also, during puberty and your growing years a good body weight is must(especially for female) and in late teens your body will change alot. Just eat healthy ( eating twice a day is very unhealthy) and do some running if you want (it will keep you active)..

    I have tried starting to run soo many times never kept going bc at winters there was nobody to go with me (it's dark and wasnt allowed in dark for safety) but now my brothers want to run too! So now we're doing it every 2days and we're still going (it's only been 3 times lol )
    But if somebody reminds me I will update how it's going!
    Day 2- rn we're only able to run 1 km, my brother could do more but I am dying of sore throat (so tips against that are welcome :))

      Breath in and out through your nose for as long as you can, it'll increase stamina so that you only need to breath in through your mouth in longer distances or near the end of your run and when you want to increase pace:)

    Jogging is great for stamina, but it will eat your muscles. Look at marathon runners vs sprinters.

      Not necessarily true. A lot of professional long distance runners have that physique because of a combination of genetics and diet. Less bulk is seen as better in long distance. Less weight=faster for longer. It's on purpose. You won't accidentally get that lean just jogging a moderate distance 2 to 3 times a week.

      At 13 I would just focus on being as physically conditioned as possible. Puberty will burn the fat off you, just keep working out
