Not underrated! Completely adored and loved in NYC! I’ve been listen to The Moments/Ray,Goodman&Brown since I was 9yrs young! Sincerely, Crys The Song🕊🎶😇
This song is one reason 70s soul is my favorite music of all time. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love all the music but there’s something about 70s soul, coming after right after the birth of all those bountiful record labels that gave us 60s music that is so special, heartwarming and soulful, to coin a phrase.😊. Oh yeah, and the choreography was the best ever, bar none. Often imitated, but never duplicated.
The instrumental segment & choreography starting at around 3:30, culminating with Goodman and Ray throwing hands in the air at around 3:41. Simplistic, but it always makes me feel some kind of way. But then, many of those 1970s Soul ballads just had a way of hitting you with MOOD. Much respect to the Moments, an underrated Soul trio.
I was a child when these guys was played in my house and I never forgotten that beautiful beautiful voice of Billy Brown and thats why im here today ! And these guys was soo fine , smh , make no sense !!!❤❤❤ Billy Brown and the Hart brothers from the Delfonics ,simply the most beautiful voices Ive ever heard in my life !!!💯
Billy's voice is so sweet and smooth. I loved these guys from the first I heard, then saw them back in the 60s❤❤❤ Now that Billy's the only original member left, I am still his forever fan.
I had no idea this was sang by The Moments AKA Ray, Goodman&Brown&so glad to have finally found out as they are absolutely TOP TIER! RIP Harry and Al! This song is a true treasure. W/o these gentlemen deserve an Unsung Episode quick fast. Say them@a concert in White Plains NY years ago!❤🔥🧨🔥
I was introduced to these guys by Eban Brown a good friend of mine who was with Ray Goodman and Brown for a while before leading the Stylistics. Harry Ray was the GOAT
Harry Ray, Al Goodman and William Aka Billie Brown. I just love this song and William Aka Billie Brown is killin those notes. They harmonize so good together. I still listen to their songs ❤❤❤❤❤❤
That covers a lot of ground when you say they made the best love music because there were more groups who had the same sound with falsetto lead singer. I can name a few if you disagree.
Well put--one of the lesser known Moments/Ray, Goodman & Brown tunes--but still one of my favorites from them. Thanks for commenting and thank you for watching.
Djantbro; The Moments were awesome! and, never missed! a "Beat" in the category of "Hitmaking"!; one of the most "Underrated" Singing Groups in American Music History!
Dj-antbro; Introducing the "Smooth School Soul Ballad Sound"; of the 60s, 70s & 80s; The Moments, The Delfonics, The Originals, The Manhattans, The Chi-lites, The Stylistics, Black Ivory, Blue Magic, Bloodstone, The Presidents, The Whispers, The Main Ingredient, Tavares, The Dells, Smokey Robinson, Sam Cooke and, Eddie Kendricks.
The Moments were just phenomenal.. Nobody had as many slow jams as they did..I think they were a little underrated, compared to similar groups from that era .. Besides this classic, they had many great songs..My favorites were "Look at Me" "With You" and "I Don't Wanna Go"
Wow they are incredible. My first time listening. So I know now they changed their group name from The Moment’s to Ray, Goodman and Brown because of a label dispute. They smooth as butter baby.
I saw a G. I've seen it all. Dope describes my rhymes, making all you emcees cold drop like dimes. You know MCSC is back again, and battling me on the microphone is like committing a sin. King MCSC
The group The Force MD's definitely listened to this group. Billy Brown influenced the late T.C.D Lundy of The Force MD's, you can hear it if you listen real close
In 1973 i was 20 years old and now at 71 in 2024 thank God for groups like this nothing like 60s, 70s and 80s music so glad i got the opportunity ❤
Not underrated! Completely adored and loved in NYC! I’ve been listen to The Moments/Ray,Goodman&Brown since I was 9yrs young! Sincerely, Crys The Song🕊🎶😇

Now that Billy's the only original member left, I am still his forever fan.
Haven’t heard this in so many years, this explains all those teenage pregnancies back in 70s the music was treacherous!

On this song, they sound a little like the Delfonics.
Very close in sound to the Delfonics here.
