I have a short hair, i use it when my hair is quite dry but not totally dry. And then i blow dry it while styling it. But why my hair still falling within 2 or 3 hours?
Would you also recommend it as a pre-styler as well as a post? I’m using it that way with great results although it lacks a bit of volume. Would Original as a pre be better for that without sacrificing hold?
Shavhvoo ocean clay or blumaan cavalier clay which one suits best for my high volume thick hair?
Yeah it’s been reformulated. Sucks really bad now, doesn’t break down properly prior to application leaving it very visible in your hair. It also seems more greasy, I have a new container of it and will probably end up tossing it.
I would just contact their CS because I show in this video a jar that was dropped off in February 22 that breaks down just fine and doesn’t leave anything visible in the hair. Could be a batch issue, that happens from time to time.

I like Cavalier clay but have always had trouble washing it out, has that changed at all?
Always come out with one shampoo for me. Did it today during a shampoo test for a future video actually.
With water yeah, with shampoo its easy. Dont wash your hair everyday tho

I tried it out and its much more oily for me and a little bit less hold, gonna try shear revival paste.
Shear revival paste Is not ideal for thick hair, your hair must be super fine for it to work, I've tried it and just no hold at all

This is a great insight because I never knew that the ingredients have changed within cavalier clay because I thought that the ingredients list would stay the same.
I have ordered the previous version of this clay. The quality of the previous version is not consistent or maybe blumaan is not consistent on its quality control. The clay I bought in their shop is very flaky when applied to hair, it looks like I have dandruff. Have you experienced the same?
No I have not gotten a jar that behaved like that. The jar I labeled as the new one in this video was delivered last month and that was the one I used for the demo. I’d just contact their CS if you feel like something is off.
Which product can you guys recommend as an alternative?

I’m not sure I’d call it an alternative as this clay is super unique- but I do have my own heavy clay with my dauntless brand. You could also checkout the Shehvoo ocean clay, or the forte series clay as well.

Yes
New version is worse. Leaves more clump and less hold. You have good hair type so it won’t affect much in your hairstyle, but with hair like mine I can feel the change. Really use to enjoy this product but gonna change now

Bro review my hair product it came out amazing and Im trying to get it out. So far on etsy. I have a water soluble one and I work 12 plus hours with a headset and holds amazing imo.

Curious if he changed it to cut costs, seems like it, but don’t like that they did that without saying anything about it (unless they have?) Also find it interesting that almost every reviewer does not like this product but you have always been a strong supporter of it.

I think some folks think I’m like an employee of blumaan or something lol no I just genuinely like this clay 🤷♂️ I was once actually offered a good amount of money to stop talking about how much I liked it and talk about another brand instead and still here we are.

Probably to cut costs, which is kind of annoying that he didn’t mention it or the reasonings if that’s why. You should let the consumer know that they are buying something different for the same price, even if it be slightly different. Really low class move on Blumaan’s part
Probably because petrolatum (the old main ingredient of cavalier) had been linked to health problems including skin cancers
The only thing I don't like about Cavalier is its smell, sweet coconut is so sweet and is not suitable for tropical country like Vietnam
That don’t surprise me haha it’s not a great scent, I’ve said it a lot. Luckily though it goes away pretty quick for me so I don’t smell it in my hair. I do wish they’d change it.
I've always found it overrated. Think it just got hyped up because of the fact that a UA-camr released it tbh. Lockhart Heavy does the same thing way better (and smells better) and if you want more of a matte look then Shear Revival is way better. I had half my container left and tossed it recently.
Lockharts heavy is a great pomade. It’s not a clay though, so it doesn’t do the same thing… like at all. I’m with you on the scent, I’ve said they could do something different there. Shear revival is also a great brand, but I haven’t found anything there either that has the same type of hold as what this has. I could really care less who makes this clay, or who makes the next clay that enters the market- I look at performance and if it has it then great, if not then 🤷♂️ oh well I’ll move onto the next one. I’ve used probably 200 clays over the years and there’s a reason I keep using this one, and a bunch of others.
