Or how hard they fought & died in droves. It was a tragedy for Italy to get involved so unprepared, but I guess Musso thought he was onto a personal winner.
Good footage..... thanks for the English subtitles, fortunately I understand German but not all do. What was going on with the last film footage?...some sort of reclamation or salvaging of parts from wreckage or shot-up equipment? Where was that footage taken ( West vs Eastern Front?). Looks Eastern Front...if I had to guess.
@@M1945 ...if you are asking me, yes, I DID see the subtitles....as I said "...... thanks for the English subtitles, fortunately I understand German but not all do....." I was saying I see subtitles but in addition I also understand spoken German, as not all people are able to. Thanks,
@@jimsummers2574...good show....but which front?...Eastern it seems, but maybe someone knows?....also , what kind of vehicle is this?....funny license number ( not the typical Wehrmacht black letters-on-white, WH prefix, etc, etc).......
The private Luftwaffe recovery film was most likely filmed in the West. The guns they were salvaging were definitely .50 cal. used on US planes. BTW, another excellent video. Thank you Fred.
Every combatant's propaganda did have its own very special, unique style, using all the latest film & recording tech. They knew how to manipulate, it was a different time. Thanks M1945, an interesting watch at 1000 on a Saturday morning in the courtyard.
Yeah, I agree. When the illustrators draw Japanese soldiers in the Die Wehrmacht periodicals they also show ridiculously exaggerated squinty eyes etc - crazy stuff
The footage of the M batallions is fascinating. So many Italians fought in the East and most people have no idea.

The last scene, I believe, was a shot down plane, and they were salvaging the machine guns from said plane

Die tapferen Italiener, drei Mann und ein Gewehr.
Vor jedem Kriegsende wechseln die Italiener die Seite. Wären bestimmt noch "Siegermacht" geworden.
